This publication presents the application of simulation software to evaluation on the potential of for generating electricity in the area with air. It is shown the valuation of the effect of air quality on the opportunity of renewable energy source using, as well. Strong effects of poor air quality can be detected in town where human activities make pollution in various forms. The aim of the analysis was to examine the relationship between the amount of solar radiation reaching solar panels and air pollution from nature and human activities in the chosen location. Dependence between the experimental data and the amount theoretically calculated amount of energy were conducted by selected statistical correlation tests. The Matlab / Simulink software was used for calculations.

Layerless Additive Manufacturing of Metal Alloy Lattices Using Immiscible-Interface Assisted Direct Metal Drawing

State-of-the-art metal alloy additive manufacturing (AM) techniques construct a three-dimensional structure through sintering or melting dry metal powders in a layer-by-layer fashion, which typically results in several AM-specific issues in the final structure, such as staircase effect, residual stress and highly-orientated microstructures. In this paper, we present a new extrusion-based metal AM process, named Immiscible-interface assisted Direct Metal Drawing (II-DMD), which fabricates metal alloy structures, in particular lattice structures, in a layerless manner. In the II-DMD process, metal lattice structures are fabricated by continuously extruding a metal colloidal suspension within a second immiscible matrix colloidal suspension. The shape of the metal colloidal suspension is stabilized due to the presence of an immiscible interface between the two colloidal suspension systems. Dense metal lattice structures can be achieved via post-consolidation of the self-stabilized metal-matrix systems, including liquid-phase drying and metal-phase sintering. The II-DMD process is presented and the immiscible-interface-assisted self-stabilization mechanism is studied. The post-consolidation processes are discussed. Several test cases were fabricated and characterized.

This publication presents the use of the acquisition of signals in a wind tunnel using the DasyLab system to assess the suitability of selected airfoils for the power industry and is a presentation of their aerodynamic characteristics. Research experiments were carried out using the MCCOMPUTING USB 1608G modular measuring system. The publication is a description of the air profile using a prepared measurement system that allows obtaining the characteristics: polar profile as well as drag coefficient and lift coefficient depending on the angle of attack. The influence of wing mechanization on the characteristics describing the profile is also presented. The comparison of the profile analysed is presented publication and the profiles were compared based on the polar profiles, drag and lift coefficients as a function of the angle of attack of the profile. The DasyLab software was used for measurements and analysis.

Under mild conditions, the Pareto optimal solutions of a continuous m -dimensional multi-objective optimization problem (MOP) have been proved to form a piecewise ( m -1)-dimensional manifold structure in the search space, a characteristic known as the regularity property. As a domain knowledge of MOP, since the first proposal in 2008, this regularity property has demonstrated significant potential for enhancing the performance of multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs). However, there has yet to be a systematic survey of the regularity property within the design of MOEAs. This article aims to address this gap by providing a comprehensive review of regularity-based evolutionary multi-objective optimization (REMO) approaches. We hope that this survey will help EMO researchers to have a comprehensive understanding of REMO.

Fourier descriptor based path synthesis algorithms rely on harmonic decomposition of four-bar loop closure equation to split the design space into smaller subsets. The core of the methodology depends on calculation and fitting of Fourier descriptors. However, a uniform time parametrization is assumed in existing literature. This paper aims to explore the use of nonuniform time parametrization of input data and calculation of an optimal parametrization. Additionally, design-centric constraints have been proposed to give user enhanced control over coupler speed. As a result, this work improves the existing algorithm tremendously. The article deals with the actual problem of identification of probabilistic processes as a result of the operation of drilling rigs in the oil industry. The world experience of finding ways to solve optimal forecasting tools using machine learning is summarized. Mnemonic rule for the implementation of classification and ranking systems in the detection of feedbacks as probable indicators of complications of ongoing technological processes is implemented through the description of the formal model of the drilling process in form of a hidden Markov model. The results of evaluation of the developed mathematical apparatus in the form of predictive analytics and a cut of basic complications in the drilling process are presented. An infological diagram of the developed architectural solution of the analysis project is proposed. The results of the control algorithms formalization are given in conclusion. These results allow to ensure the effective procees modes of equipment operation and make it possible to save electricity and water.

Sub-picosecond optical laser processing of metals is actively utilized for modification of a heated surface layer. But for deeper modification of different materials a laser in the hard x-ray range is required. Here, we demonstrate that a single 9-keV x-ray pulse from a free-electron laser can form a µm-diameter cylindrical cavity with length of ~1 mm in LiF surrounded by shock-transformed material. The plasma-generated shock wave with TPa-level pressure results in damage, melting and polymorphic transformations of any material, including transparent and non-transparent to conventional optical lasers. Moreover, cylindrical shocks can be utilized to obtain a considerable amount of exotic high-pressure polymorphs. Pressure wave propagation in LiF, radial material flow, formation of cracks and voids are analyzed via continuum and atomistic simulations revealing a sequence of processes leading to the final structure with the long cavity. Similar results can be produced with semiconductors and ceramics, which opens a new pathway for development of laser material processing with hard x-ray pulses. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In the present study, Mg-doped ZnO (MZO) nanofilms (NF) were grown by spray pyrolysis technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns have shown an intense peak oriented along (002) crystalline plane confirming crystalline origin of grown MZO films. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) data revealed that the average roughness decreased significantly upon Mg doping from 20.3 nm to 4.72 nm. Ambient temperature photoluminescence spectra accounted for four emission bands in the visible spectral region due to the presence of various intrinsic defect centres in the films. The non-linear absorption coefficient (βeff) were estimated by open aperture Z-scan technique and found to be in the order of 10-2(cm/W) and indicates a positive absorption nonlinearity. Additionally, it was observed that incorporation of the metal Mg ions leads to a decay of the second harmonic generation (SHG) and to a non-regular increase of the third harmonic generation (THG). The classical theory of signal processing assumes that the designed IIR filters are continuous and have infinitely accurate coefficients. However, when developing filters for real-world digital signal processing tasks, it is necessary to take into account the finite precision of the coefficients representation, especially considering the fixed-point arithmetic. In this paper, we propose a new approach, which we call the interval size approach, making it easy to evaluate the actual digital filter response for various fixed-point arithmetic parameters. We provide Illustrative examples to demonstrate the frequency response bounds evolution as an order, cutoff frequency, and signal frequency are varying. We show that the interval size can be used as a well-suited accuracy factor of a digital filter.
