Nowadays, there are more and more robots replace human being’s job. In recent years, the researches accelerate the technology development of multi rotor drone and make it become the flying robot that can self-stabilize and fly according to the waypoints setting by ground station. Therefore, this project designs a system to detect the efficacy of solar panel by UAV integrated with thermal sensors. Firstly, UAV flies above solar panel, takes picture by thermal sensors and transmits to website automatically. Secondly, the system cuts out the area that out of the panel, examine every pixel of the picture and calculates the ratio of red pixels that present the area of overheat. Finally, the system reports the efficacy of solar panel by program that judges from the ratio of overheat, weather condition, etc. By this way, we can save a lot of time and detect the solar panel safely.

In recent years, solar energy has become more and more popular because it is one of the renewable energy resources that are constantly replenished and will never run out. Nowadays, there are many solar panels that have been installed on the roof of residence in Taiwan. However, it does not have many convenient, secure and affordable methods to detect the effectiveness of those roof-top photovoltaic systems. Therefore, this study not only proposes the algorithms for determining the effectiveness of solar panel by using the thermal sensor, but also constructs a system to analysis the pictures that taken from thermal sensor and report the condition of solar panel automatically. Finally, we will live in a better environment by using the solar energy and the detection system with algorithms this study proposed at same time.

The aim of the work is to improve the coordination of engineering processes in the creation of offshore oil and gas facilities and methods of managing the business processes of the operator's company. The concept of using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) system for the projects of offshore oil and gas facilities (OF) is presented. The main problematic aspects of implementing a large-scale project: the layout of technological equipment in a limited space; maintenance of accuracy of calculations; insufficiently effective application of PLM (Project Lifecycle Management) principles and data management in design and construction. The main routes are proposed, in accordance with which the modeling and management of engineering data is carried out. The structure of the information model and the algorithms proposed for its construction within the framework of the Russian design and construction system are developed. A tool is proposed that allows the company to the operator and subcontractors involved in the construction project to optimize their work and improve the quality of operating activities. The loss of time for communication and information retrieval for decision making is minimized, the burden on the project team members is reduced, the efficiency of the design and construction organization is significantly increased.

Gears are the most important transmission component in machines. The rapid development of the machines in industry requires a shorter time of the analysis process. In traditional, the gears are analyzed by setting up the complete mathematical model firstly, considering the profile of cutter and coordinate systems relationship between the machine and the cutter. It is a really complex and time-consuming process. Recently, the CAD/CAE software is well developed and useful in the mechanical design. In this paper, the Autodesk Inventor® software is introduced to model the spherical gears firstly, and then the models can also be transferred into ANSYS Workbench for the finite element analysis. The proposed process in this paper is helpful to the engineers to speed up the analyzing process of gears in the design stage.

The article presents the results of research on the causes of accidents at work that involve scaffolding. The basis for the identification and classification of the causes of accidents were post-accident protocols drawn up by labour inspectors. The study involved accidents that occurred in Lower Silesia in the years 2008-2015. Based on the analysis of 41 accidents involving scaffolding, their causes were determined. They were then classified into the following three groups of causes: technical, organizational and human. Analysis of Pareto-Lorenz was applied in order to determine the most common causes in each group.
