The article defines the conditions of self-excitation of an inductive generator with capacitor excitation as part of an autonomous power source. Recommendations for the design of an autonomous power source based on an asynchronous machine in terms of the implementation of self-excitation conditions and optimal operating modes are formulated. A simulation model of an autonomous inductive generator and a solar battery for the analysis of transient, static and dynamic modes of operation has been developed. The conducted theoretical studies of capacitive self-excitation of inductive machines have created a good basis for solving problems related to the practical use of autonomous sources based on an inductive generator. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

English Language-Based Virtual Assistants (ELB-VAs) are AI-powered systems designed to comprehend and respond to user queries in the English language, exemplified by virtual assistants like Siri or Alexa. The need for balancing transparency and user privacy in ELB-VAs is paramount due to their pervasive integration into daily life. Ensuring transparency imbues user trust, while safeguarding privacy addresses ethical concerns associated with personal data. Existing methods involve clear privacy policies, user-controlled data sharing settings, and encryption. However, drawbacks include user confusion and potential biases. To address these limitations, this study proposes a novel approach. Methodologically, it integrates pre-processing techniques such as lowercasing and tokenization, coupled with a Natural Language Understanding model. This model undergoes intent and entity recognition training, enhancing accuracy, and incorporates privacy-aware response generation, ensuring informative yet privacy-conscious interactions. The implementation of the study's results is carried out using Python tools, showcasing improved metrics and response times. This approach contributes to a more transparent and privacy-respecting user experience, aligning with evolving ethical norms and setting the stage for advancements in ELB-VA technology. This comprehensive exploration bridges existing gaps, emphasizing the ethical imperative of user-centric and privacy-aware AI interactions in ELB- VAs. The proposed NLU model exhibits a substantial increase in accuracy compared to other methods, with an impressive accuracy value of 99.1 % • On average, it outperforms the Random Forest and Decision Tree models by 15.7 percentage points, highlighting its superior predictive capabilities in the evaluated task. This comprehensive exploration aligns with evolving ethical norms and establishes a foundation for future advancements in ELB-VA technology.

In the recent decade, electronic technology gets advanced day by day the methodologies too should update. For the purpose of ranging various methods such Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) and Sonic Navigation and Ranging (SONAR) etc. are used. Later, by adapting the earlier technologies and further modifying the purposes of detection and ranging in navigation, the technology of Sonic Detection and Ranging (SODAR) is used in modern robotics. The SODAR can be defined as a child of SONAR and also a twin of Echo sounder. The echo-sounder is used only for ranging. But the SODAR use the low-frequency wave of 33 kHz to measure the underwater depth and also to detect the objects below the water medium. This paper presents a comparative study between the commonly used switches (IGBT, MOSFET, SiC and GaN) for power inverters of electric vehicles. A 400 V, three-phase inverter system simulation test is implemented using LTspice and the conducted emissions are compared to variant CISPR standards and switching frequencies in order to show the possible interferences with the other car equipment.

E-business offers to economic agents the opportunity to increase the efficiency of their activity, promote and offer their products and services on a large and diversified market. Often a single service, separately, does not meet all the needs of various categories and groups of customers. In such a situation, service composition can provide more technical, commercial, informational facilities than each separate component service can offer. There are many web-based frameworks used for e-business, but still with limitations. The paper presents a Services Composition Framework and a wise algorithm for e-business models, based on REST and SOAP web services. It is intended to be used for the development of e-business models, comprising stock market exchange, e-commerce, e-banking, etc. The customers can access the framework services, through Smartphones, on mobile and wireless communication channels. Within a Quality-of-Service performance analysis of the e-business Service Composition Framework, the response time and throughput for multiuser access simultaneous requests were evaluated. A stock market exchange service is considered, as an e-business service example, while Bucharest Stock Exchange information is the digital content source for data transactions.

Distributionally robust optimization (DRO) is a principled approach to incorporate robustness against ambiguity in the specified probabilistic models. This paper considers data-driven DRO problems with Wasserstein ambiguity sets, where the uncertain distribution splits into i.i.d. components. By exploiting the latter decomposition, we construct a tighter ambiguity set that narrows down the plausible models to product distributions only, consequently reducing the conservatism of the DRO problem. To solve the resulting nonconvex optimization problem we devise a novel sequence of convex relaxations that asymptotically converges to the true value of the original problem under mild conditions. High throughput event filtering: The interpolation-based DIF algorithm hardware architecture

In recent years, there has been rapid development in the field of event vision. It manifests itself both on the technical side, as better and better event sensors are available, and on the algorithmic side, as more and more applications of this technology are proposed and scientific papers are published. However, the data stream from these sensors typically contains a significant amount of noise, which varies depending on factors such as the degree of illumination in the observed scene or the temperature of the sensor. We propose a hardware architecture of the Distance-based Interpolation with Frequency Weights(DIF) filter and implement it on an FPGA chip. To evaluate the algorithm and compare it with other solutions, we have prepared a new high-resolution event dataset, which we are also releasing to the community. Our architecture achieved a throughput of 403.39 million events per second (MEPS) for a sensor resolution of 1280 × 720 and 428.45 MEPS for a resolution of 640 × 480. The averagevalues of the Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic (AUROC) index ranged from 0.844 to 0.999, depending on the dataset, which is comparable to the state-of-the-art filtering solutions, but with much higher throughput and better operation over a wide range of noise levels.

We present an initial study conducted on fNIRS signals using Hybrid-Cascade filters for the purpose of their quality improvement. Whilst many studies focus on filtering brain signals, so that their frequency domain properties would allow e.g. widely understood diagnostics, here we focus on the study of time-domain signal characteristics, which is relevant for potential control purposes. Taking into account various kinds of artifacts, we propose a novel cascade 1D Kalman filter to handle fNIRS signals.

This study investigates the intelligent systems to evaluate walking interventions on skin thickness using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). The walking durations of 10 and 20 min were conducted with participants wearing insoles providing 160 mmHg air pressure. Skin thickness in the stratum corneum (SC) and epidermis (ED) was measured at four-foot regions: the big toe (T1), first metatarsal (M1), second metatarsal (M2), and heel (HL). Results revealed a significant decrease in SC at HL after 20 min of walking. This finding suggests that prolonged walking with air-pressure insoles may reduce mechanical stress at HL and could contribute to preventing and managing diabetic foot ulcers.
