This paper focuses an efficient image registration method based on image features. Image registration is the process of overlaying two or more images of the same scene taken at different times, from different viewpoints, and/or by different sensors. This approach uses four basic steps of image registration procedure; namely, feature detection, feature matching, mapping function design, and image transformation and re-sampling. In this paper, object shape of images has been considered as an important feature for image registration. Initially, a process to obtain the unique chain code for each shape of images, which is invariant to translation, scaling and rotation, is generated. Using this unique chain code of shape representation, the translation, scaling and rotation of two different images has been calculated. Finally, the image registration has been done based on the unique chain code for each shape of the same image. The major goal of this paper is to register two or more different images of the same scene using object shape's chain code.

Based on the survey in the field, wavelet theory was adopted to analyze experimentally the distribution characteristics of Leymus chinensis vegetation coverage, on different scales in a 1000-meter-long sample belt. A suspending problem in studying simultaneously the vegetation pattern scale, intensity and grain on different scales was solved according to the analysis of projection figure of wavelet transform on different scales. This leads to find the feature that changes of vegetation pattern on different scales are consistent with fractal characteristics.

Spatial plantar pressure measurement system were investigated to extract features of gait in clinical podiatry. In this paper, the design of a novel 3D platform system suitable for the measurement of human foot pressure distribution is proposed. This consists of a 3D force measuring platform equipped with sensor array, and user-friendly software to graph and analyze the data. Also, a proposed Butterworth low-pass filter for the signals preconditioning is employed effectively. The article describes the original concept and the performance of the system. Meanwhile, the extracted gait parameters are indicated in the end.

In this paper, the development of a novel 3D Platform system suitable for the measurement of human foot pressure distribution has been presented. The system measures plantar pressure between the foot and force platform during dynamic movement in real-time, which can be used in clinical gait analysis. It essentially consists of a 3D force measuring platform, and user-friendly software to graph and analyze the data. Meanwhile, a new type of Butterworth low-pass filter is designed to employ for the signals preconditioning, the interference signals of the pressure sensor signal can be effectively filtered. Also, the results obtained on the performance of the system are included.
