During the software development phase, vulnerability detection needs huge interest to make it less vulnerable and secure. Every time, the vulnerable software provokes hackers to make malicious activities and interrupts the software operation which results in millions in financial losses to the software firm. To minimize the losses, there are reliable and effectual vulnerability detection systems developed by security communities aspiring to recognize software vulnerabilities earlier in the development or testing stage. One such system is deep learning which can detect security vulnerabilities in the software. This work develops an optimized deep-learning system for detecting software vulnerabilities. Feature fusion approach is developed using canonical correlation analysis and Deep Residual Network (DRN) so that all the features in the input open-source projects are utilized without negligence. Moreover, an algorithm, AdamW- Rat Swarm Optimizer (AdamW-RSO), is proposed by combining AdamW and RSO, to train the DBN that is adopted to perform vulnerability detection. Finally, the detection performance is examined by utilizing metrics, such as recall, precision, and F-measure on a function-level vulnerable dataset. Alzheimer's disease is a well-known illness characterized by memory loss and cognitive decline. Since current treatments work best in the early stages, early detection is vital for effective management. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) plays a key role in diagnosing Alzheimer's by providing detailed images of brain structures. Advances in deep learning have further improved MRI-based diagnosis through automated image ***2 and MobileNetV3 are lightweight convolutional neural networks (CNNs) known for their high performance and speed, making them ideal for resource-limited and real-time ***3 is a widely used CNN, known for its strong performance in image classification tasks. An efficient Quasi-Affine Transformation Evolutionary algorithm with fixed dimension updating and its application in UAV 3D path planning

Quasi-Affine Transformation Evolutionary (QUATRE) algorithm is a kind of swarm-based collaborative optimization algorithm that solves the problem of a position deviation in a DE search by using the co-evolution matrix M instead of the cross-control parameter CR in the differential evolution algorithm (DE). However, QUATRE shares some of the same weaknesses as DE, such as premature convergence and search stagnation. Inspired by the artificial bee colony algorithm (ABC), we propose a new QUATRE algorithm to improve these problems that ranks all the individuals and evolves only the poorer half of the population. In an evolving population, individuals of different levels intersect with dimensions of different sizes to improve search efficiency and accuracy. In addition, we establish a better selection framework for the parent generation individuals and select more excellent parent individuals to complete the evolution for the individuals trapped in search stagnation. To verify the performance of the new QUATRE algorithm, we divide the comparison algorithm into three groups, including ABC variant group, DE variant group, and QUATRE variant group, and the CEC2014 test suite is used for the comparison. The experimental results show the new QUATRE algorithm performance is competitive. We also successfully apply the new QUATRE algorithm on the 3D path planning of UAV, and compared with the other famous algorithm performance it is still outstanding, which verifies the algorithm's practicability. © 2024 - IOS Press. Cassava is a vital staple crop in numerous tropical countries, to enhance plant disease detection using deep learning architecture including ResNet, EfficientNet, Incetion V3 and simple CNN. By levering these advance model significant improve accuracy compared to previous methods. This approach addresses the pressing issue of food insecurity by efficiently identifying diseases in crops. Types of Cassava disease are Cassava Mosaic Disease (CMD), Cassava Green Mottle (CGM), Cassava Brown Streak Disease (CBSD), and Cassava Bacterial Blight (CBB), along with the presence of Whitefly. The proposed work uses Convolution Neural Network (CNN) to identify the leaf diseases to quickly identify the specific disease that is affecting the crop. CNN can automatically detect important features without any human supervision. A vast collection of labelled cassava leaf photos comprising multiple disease classes is utilized for training the CNN model. To advance deep learning architectures, our research integrates techniques for data augmentation and transfer learning to further enchance model performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) represents a neurological condition rather than a mental illness, characterized by atypical brain development that can subsequently manifest in distinct facial features. Children with ASD often exhibit unique facial landmarks that differentiate them from Typically Developed individuals. This pioneering research introduces a novel approach, focusing on the detection of ASD through the analysis of both social media data and biomedical images, specifically by harnessing the power of face recognition technology and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). Deep learning techniques are precise identification of these facial features. The research aims to benefit both communities and mental health professionals by providing an accessible web application based on a CNN with transfer learning and Flask integration. In this refined approach, two robust models are exclusively retained, DenseNet121 with an accuracy of 54% and EfficientNetB0 with an impressive 90% accuracy rate. These models are intended for improving the accuracy and convenience for determining ASD using face traits, which will simplify the process of early diagnosis and intervention for those who need it. The dataset contains 2,940 images of faces that were retrieved from the Kaggle platform. Standard evaluation metrics are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the two CNN models, including sensitivity, specificity and accuracy. This research hopes to help people with ASD by finding a way to identify it early. Early help is very important for making things better for people with autism. So, the study aims to create a useful tool that can tell if someone might have ASD when the patients are very young. © 2024 IEEE.

This research proposes a highly effective soft computing paradigm for estimating the compressive strength(CS)of metakaolin-contained cemented *** proposed approach is a combination of an enhanced grey wolf optimizer(EGWO)and an extreme learning machine(ELM).EGWO is an augmented form of the classic grey wolf optimizer(GWO).Compared to standard GWO,EGWO has a better hunting mechanism and produces an optimal *** EGWO was used to optimize the ELM structure and a hybrid model,ELM-EGWO,was *** train and validate the proposed ELM-EGWO model,a sum of 361 experimental results featuring five influencing factors was *** on sensitivity analysis,three distinct cases of influencing parameters were considered to investigate the effect of influencing factors on predictive *** consequences show that the constructed ELM-EGWO achieved the most accurate precision in both training(RMSE=0.0959)and testing(RMSE=0.0912)*** outcomes of the ELM-EGWO are significantly superior to those of deep neural networks(DNN),k-nearest neighbors(KNN),long short-term memory(LSTM),and other hybrid ELMs constructed with GWO,particle swarm optimization(PSO),harris hawks optimization(HHO),salp swarm algorithm(SSA),marine predators algorithm(MPA),and colony predation algorithm(CPA).The overall results demonstrate that the newly suggested ELM-EGWO has the potential to estimate the CS of metakaolin-contained cemented materials with a high degree of precision and robustness.

The fundus image is a crucial diagnostic tool for diseases like diabetic retinopathy (DR) because it catches a retina, a back of an eye. This issue is most prevalent among diabetics and a leading contributor to blindness, particularly in young adults and those engaged in the workforce. Detecting DR in its early stages is crucial in reducing the likelihood of blindness in patients. An ophthalmologist performed DR screening and looked for lesions on the fundus imaging. Intelligent systems have the ability to make early identification of DR more efficient, especially with the recent advancements in machine learning in healthcare. This study compares and contrasts many methods for detecting DR in fundus images. This study lays out methods for improving upon pre-trained architectures such that they can correctly classify fundus images, allowing for early detection and prediction of diabetes. A concatenate model is presented in this comparative study as a method for classifying fundus images using ML and deep/transfer learning. Various model architectures are used, including SVM, Gradient Boosting, Efficient Net, Efficient-Net B4 and B7, MLP, CNN, ResNet, VGG-19, and DNN, among others. The models' accuracy, F1-score, recall, and precision are measured in experimental findings that compare them. Our strategies outperform a single model with results ranging from 84% to 96% accuracy, respectively. They found that our ML- DL-TL methods work well for automated DR classification employing fundus image data in this experiment. © 2024 IEEE.

Efficient straggler task management in cloud environment using stochastic gradient descent with momentum learning-driven neural networks

In the modern era, large-scale computing systems distribute tasks into smaller units, allowing them to be executed simultaneously, accelerating job completion, and reducing energy usage. However, cloud computing systems face a significant challenge: the Long Tail problem. This problem arises when a small subset of slow-performing tasks impedes the overall progress of parallel job execution, resulting in longer service response times and decreased system efficiency. To reduce task execution time and energy consumption, we propose an efficient straggler task management framework for cloud data centers in this paper. A neural network-based resource predictor is initially developed and tuned with the Stochastic Gradient Descent with Momentum mechanism to analyze and classify heterogeneous tasks into stragglers and non-stragglers. Then, after identifying the straggler tasks, they are further classified into two categories: Resource Hunters and Long-Tail stragglers, based on their specific resource requirements. A task management policy is implemented to achieve parallelism and enhance sustainability in the cloud infrastructure. Considering the task category, this policy effectively schedules and allocates resources among user job requests. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed work, extensive simulations are performed using the Google Cluster Dataset (GCD). The results obtained from these simulations are subsequently compared to state-of-the-art techniques for a comprehensive analysis. The experimental results reveal substantial improvements in various metrics, including power consumption and active servers showing reductions of up to 55.16% and 35%, respectively. Recommendation systems are crucial due to their high relevance in terms of interpretability and performance. A Social Recommendation system explores how social relations influence user choices and how users select items. In this system, user-embeddings are learned from Knowledge graphs to enhance the recommendations. The social recommendation system can be categorized into three main areas: user recommendation, movie recommendation, and explainable recommendation. User recommendation focusses on providing users with personalized services, movie recommendation enhances the movie-watching experience, and explainable recommendation aims to provide the reasoning behind the suggested items. Data sparsity and the cold start problem are significant challenges faced by RS. The Social RS model addresses these issues by leveraging both user-item interactions and user-user social relationships, thereby improving the overall quality of social network-based recommendations. Methods such as Light Graph Convolutional Network (LGCN), Hyperbolic Recommender (HSR), and Knowledge Enhanced Graph Neural Networks (KEGNN) have been proposed to enhance social recommendation performance. Evaluation metrics such as recall @N, precision @N are commonly used to assess and estimate the effectiveness of recommendation systems. © 2025 IEEE.
