Complex information is prevailing in every sphere of activities This call for the necessity to represent, store and manipulate complex information (e.g. detects correlations and patterns, discover explanations, construct predictive models etc.). Furthermore, being autonomously maintained, data can change in time or even change its base structure, making it difficult for representation systems to accommodate these changes. Current representation and storage systems are not very flexible in dealing with big changes and also they are not concerned with the ability of performing complex data manipulations of the sort mentioned above. On the other hand, data manipulation systems cannot easily work with structural or relational data, but just with flat data representations. We want to bridge the gap between the two, by introducing a new type of database structure, called Graph Databases (GDB), based on a natural graph representation. Our Graph Databases are able to represent as graphs any kind of information, naturally accommodate changes in data, and they also make easier for Machine Learning methods to use the stored information. Graph mining is the process of extracting sub graphs from graph database or database of graphs. The problem of discovering frequent sub graphs of graph data can be solved by constructing a candidate set of sub graphs first, and then, identifying within this candidate set those sub graphs that meet the frequent sub graph requirement.

This work extends the concepts and methodologies of Shen et al. for the synthesis of spherical four-bar motion generators to the synthesis of spatial revolute-revolute-spherical-cylindrical (RRSC) motion generators with applied coupler loads. A constraint that includes coupler loads and driver static torques for the RRSC mechanism is formulated using the principle of virtual work. This constraint is combined with the conventional constraints for the R-R and C-S dyads to form a non-linear optimization problem from which RRSC mechanism solutions are calculated that approximate prescribed coupler poses and satisfy prescribed driver static torques for given coupler loads. The formulated RRSC coupler load and driver static torque constraint are also incorporated in a simplified RRSC motion generation model to form a simplified non-linear optimization problem for calculating RRSC mechanism solutions. This work demonstrates both the conventional and simplified non-linear optimization problems.

An ideal Network Processor, that is, a programmable multi-processor device must be capable of offering both the flexibility and speed required for packet processing. But current Network Processor systems generally fall short of the above benchmarks due to traffic fluctuations inherent in packet networks, and the resulting workload variation on individual pipeline stage over a period of time ultimately affects the overall performance of even an otherwise sound system. One potential solution would be to change the code running at these stages so as to adapt to the fluctuations, a near robust system with standing traffic fluctuations is the dynamic adaptive processor, reconfiguring the entire system, which we introduce and study to some extent in this paper. We achieve this by using a crucial decision making model, transferring the binary code to the processor through the SOAP protocol.
