To obtain high resolution ISAR image of ship target in motion with narrow-bandwidth T/R devices and a low-speed A/D sampler, an effective imaging method based on Linearly Modulated Stepped Frequency (LMSF) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the signal model is developed and analyzed. Secondly, a band coherent processing method is proposed to eliminated the error induced by the translational motion and the high range profile is obtained. Finally, the high resolution of cross range is achieved by using the DechirpClean techinque. The theory analysis and the resutl of real data processing demonstrate the performance of the proposed method. ©2009 IEEE.

The aspect of human interaction becomes more and more relevant for service-oriented applications. On one hand, current development approaches support the composition of services but neglect the creation of user interfaces. On the other hand, task-based modeling of user interactions is well established but poorly integrated into service-oriented development. In this paper we propose an integrated modelling approach for the task-driven development of interactive service-oriented applications. Our central concept is the introduction of annotations as part of the Web service description. These annotations cover information relevant for the semi-automatic generation of task models and user interfaces. We present the annotation concept as well as concepts for the integration of the annotations into a task-driven software development methodology.

The user interface generation process is still a complex issue. The manual creation process is time consuming and complex because it requires the combination of the application developer work and the user interface designer work. Therefore, many approaches investigate the automatic user interface generation. However, currently such approaches are not able to take usability aspects into account, due to the lack of information for such a process. Thus, we propose a tool which intends to ease and enhance the automatic user interface generation process for services by introducing service annotations that are attached to services and provide additional information for the process of automatic user interface generation.

Set of model reduction rules and algorithms for web services composition under orchestration pattern

The performance calculation of Web services composition process in large state space is time-consuming, and is difficult to fulfill the real-time performance analysis. Therefore, a process reduction algorithm is presented to accelerate the calculation of system performance. The Web services composition process is modeled using the generalized stochastic Petri net. Through auto-detecting the reductive subnet, some regular structures, such as sequence, choice, concurrent and loop structures, can be eliminated under the precondition of preserving the timing constraints. The sub processes which can be calculated independently are separated. A large scale model can thus be reduced within a certain period. Experimental results with multiform models indicate that the system response time and throughput are obtained rapidly by using the algorithm in the dynamic and adaptive composition process. The algorithm can be applied to online performance analysis of most Web services composition process.

A service composition system can be constructed via integration and collaboration of many component services. The system performance needs to be obtained rapidly for the purpose of dynamic and adaptive management. An EGSPN (extended generalized stochastic Petri net) model is presented to reflect the service composition system with complex timing constraints in a compact and comprehensible manner. The various categories of timing constraints are associated to place, transition and arc of EGSPN respectively. Furthermore, in order to accelerate the calculation of system performance and to avoid the explosion of state space, a set of model reduction rules are presented. The corresponding reduction algorithms are designed to achieve automatic model reduction. The experiments based on multiform models indicate that a large model can be reduced within satisfying period. The algorithms can help to make rapid performance analysis of service composition system.

The Web services composition system usually has restricted resources in many practical applications. The system performance is closely related to the system resource. Firstly, a basic generalized stochastic Petri net model, constructed via service composition plan or language mapping for the purpose of performance presented. Nevertheless, the basic model can not reflect the characteristics of system resource restriction exactly. Therefore, through analyzing the various resource restrictions in Web services composition system, a series of extended modeling rules and methods are presented in order to acquire exact performance analysis results. The experiments indicate the difference of performance analysis results between basic model in ideal situation and extended model with restricted resources.

Mean shift is a nonparametric method to estimate the density gradient, which iteratively computes the mean of observations and shifts to the centroid until reach a predefined end condition. This paper proposes a mean shift based scheme for localization and tracking in wireless sensor *** shift is a generalized framework, and range-free centroid and range-based W-Centrod are both the special cases of this generalized framework. A dynamically clustering protocol is proposed to support the generalized framework. Analysis and simulation results show that the communication overhead and jitter are reduced to 1/3 of traditional algorithms. The positioning accuracy of proposed algorithm with optimal weight increases 28% and 11% in comparison to Centroid and W-Centroid.

A novel range-free localization approach, smallest enclosing Circle based Localization (SECL), has been proposed. This approach uses the center of smallest enclosing circle of neighboring anchor nodes to estimate the position of target. Comparing to centroid, SECL considers the geometrical coverage of anchors rather than the mass center of them. Consequently, SECL is robust to imperfect topology, especially when the topology of anchors is depolyed unevenly. Simulation results show that SECL outperforms Centroid by an average of 10%, and even better when the topology is not uniform.

The QoS-aware web service composition is an important topic that is intensively discussed in the last ten years. The approach of Canfora, for example, solves this problem in an acceptable time period. The lack of most of the approaches for a QoS-aware composition is, however, that they completely ignore monitoring and user feedback for single web services. In this paper the idea of taking monitoring and user feedback into account while composing web services will be introduced.
