Whether the supply-demand relationship of fresh food retail services matches is of great significance to urban planning and construction and residents' lives. This work takes four central districts in Guangzhou as an example to calculate the accessibility of fresh retail in different types of residential areas. In addition, this work explores the spatial clustering distribution relationship of fresh retail supply and demand. Results show that the frequency of purchasing fresh food in central areas is typically higher than that in border areas. However, the supply-demand matching is poor due to the large population size. The online accessibility of newly built urban areas, such as Tianhe District, is better, but offline fresh food retailing dominates. Offline fresh food retail supply and demand matching is better than online in the marginal area. The analysis of the accessibility of fresh food in residential areas is beneficial for providing a reference for urban spatial layout and planning and construction. © ASCE.

Traditional culture refers to a culture that has evolved from civilization and can reflect the characteristics and spirit of a nation. However, at present, the traditional cultural ontology only focuses on modeling and data organization of a certain type of traditional culture, which is a certain distance from the massive cultural information and urgent cultural needs. This article starts from the perspective of protecting and inheriting traditional culture, and based on representation, incorporates role theory to construct a cultural ontology centered on poetry, calligraphy, and painting. The traditional cultural ontology constructed in this article can further contribute to the field of artificial intelligence. © 2023 ACM.

The blockchain ecosystem is currently becoming an intricate landscape given the large number of attacks, scams, and hacks that occur. With such risk surrounding Blockchain DApps and users, we propose a method to help in the earlier detection of scam tokens. While blockchain technology continues to grow in multiple industries, the proliferation of fraudulent activities in the decentralized ecosystem has become a significant threat to the well-being and trustworthiness of the whole ecosystem. This scam tokens are deployed in plain sight in decentralized networks and listed in platforms such as CoinMarketCap and other token issuance platforms. In this paper, we identify over 1450 unreported scam tokens, 167 different backdoor functions, and 1428 malicious contract creators. By increasing the collaboration between industry stakeholders and web3 companies, our scam tokens dataset and detection tools can help in web3 threat detection while creating a more secure and resilient blockchain environment, fostering trust and innovation in the decentralized space. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

computer vision techniques have advanced greatly in recent years through deep learning, achieving unprecedented performance. This has motivated applying deep learning to malware detection through image-based approaches to circumvent extensive feature engineering for diverse threats. However, existing work converting Android binaries to rectangular images neglects the intrinsic byte sequence structure, introducing spurious spatial relationships that weaken detection accuracy. To address this, space-filling curves have mapped binaries to images while preserving ordering. This paper proposes a novel method using Hilbert space-filling curves to visualize and classify Android apps. Bytecode is extracted from Dalvik Executable (DEX) files and transformed to grayscale images via Hilbert coding for model training. Additionally, a novel and balanced image dataset is proposed consisting of Hilbert transformations for 4995 benign and 4995 malicious Android apps randomly sampled from the AndroZoo repository. Experiments using this dataset evaluated pre-trained InceptionV3, VGG16, ResNet50 and EfficientNetB0 via transfer learning. A custom Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) was also trained from scratch. InceptionV3 achieved the highest performance at 97.99% accuracy, 98.50% precision, 97.50% recall and 97.99% F1-score. Comparative assessment with previous image-based malware detection research indicates our approach outperforms state-of-the-art approaches. By leveraging Hilbert space-filling curves to map binaries to images while preserving sequential relationships, detection accuracy is improved over methods introducing extraneous spatial representations. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Fresh retail is an important facility in the community life circle. Exploring its spatial distribution is essential for improving the allocation of life service resources. This paper introduces a method based on supply and demand matching and machine learning, designed to analyze and forecast the current state of supply and demand in offline fresh retail. Specifically, we take the four central districts of Guangzhou as the research object and apply the two-step mobile search method to filter the training set grid. Utilizing machine learning, we obtained the feature matrices of these grids and applied them to the supply prediction of the remaining grids. The results indicate that the Commercial Residential Density, Travel Convenience Index, and Food Service Density are the main factors affecting the location selection of offline fresh retail. The supply and demand in Yuexiu and Haizhu Districts show imbalance, and the construction of offline fresh retail facilities must be fortified. © ASCE.

Virtual staining has shown great promise in realizing a rapid and low-cost clinical alternative for pathological examinations, eliminating the need for chemical reagents and laborious staining procedures. However, most of the previous studies mainly focus on thin slice samples, which still require tissue sectioning and are unsuitable for intraoperative use. In this paper, we propose a multi-scale model to virtually stain label-free and slide-free biological tissues, allowing hematoxylin- and eosin- (H&E) staining generation in less than a minute for an image with 100 million pixels. We name this ThickV-Stain model, specifically developed to virtually stain intricated and unprocessed thick tissues. We harness the ability of a multi-scale network to encourage the model to capture multiple-level micromorphological characteristics from low-resolution images. Experimental results highlight the advantages of our method for virtual staining on unprocessed thick samples. We also show the effectiveness of ThickV-Stain on thin sections, showing generalizability to other clinical workflows. The proposed method enables us to obtain virtually stained images from unstained samples within minutes and can be seamlessly integrated with downstream pathological analysis tasks, providing an efficient alternative scheme for intraoperative assessment as well as general pathological examination. © 2024 CC-BY 4.0, L. The modern rapid development of means and technologies for education is aimed at reducing classroom classes and remote control of knowledge and skills of education seekers. The adaptation of the education system to the remote regime has become especially relevant throughout the world during the period of quarantine restrictions caused by COVID-19. In Ukraine, the urgency of developing and implementing info-communication systems in the education process has been intensified by the martial law since February 24, 2022. The urgent need to rebuild a large number of buildings and structures destroyed and damaged by hostilities makes special demands on graduates of construction educational institutions. However, the fundamental studying of specialists in this field in remote mode requires specialized info-communication systems, creating of which need taking part of specialists in the field. On-line testing is the main means of guaranteeing the quality of the modern educational process. Therefore, the article presents the specialized on-line testing system "Fast Knowledge Test", which was developed at the Kyiv National University of Construction and architecture with the participation of stakeholders. The system operates during 2021-2023 and while the monitoring of students’ knowledge and skills remains with the teacher, but the service provides for its automation. © 2024 IEEE.

As China's social economy progresses, the amount of equipment in distribution networks continues to grow, leading to increasingly complex system operations. In this environment, traditional centralized control methods consume excessive computing resources and fail to achieve the processing speeds required by modern intelligent distribution networks. To address these challenges, this article introduces the concept of electrical distance to segment the distribution network and proposes voltage regulation algorithms based on the alternating direction multiplier method and dual ascent method for efficient distributed voltage regulation. © 2024 IEEE.

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a vital application of the Internet of Things (IoT) that plays a significant role in gathering a patient's healthcare information. This collected data helps special professionals like doctors or physicians analyze patients' health status to cure different diseases. However, collecting such information from an insecure channel can be threatening due to the potential security threats. Therefore, it is crucial to secure this sensitive information. This article proposes a secure and lightweight authentication protocol for WBAN. The devised protocol is scalable, secure, and lightweight compared to various relevant competing protocols. The informal security analysis shows that the designed protocol is lightweight, secure, and efficient in resisting various major attacks. The performance analysis demonstrates our protocol's supremacy over various competing protocols in terms of computation and communication costs, inducing efficiency of 20.3% and 12.3%, respectively. Moreover, the practical performance of the designed protocol from the network point of view is measured using the widely recognized NS3 simulation tool. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Amidst global warming and escalating extreme weather events, indoor environmental quality's impact on human health and public hygiene gains prominence. Environmental parameters exist essentially as fields, which are characterized by high dimensionality, density and complexity, and contain massive amounts of information in space. To facilitate visualization and analysis of indoor environmental field, we design and implement BuildEnVR, an immersive analysis system by virtual reality, enabling remote analysis of real-time and historical environmental field data. Grounded in user needs and cognitive psychology, three visualization modes emerge: the Virtual Sensor mode enables users to access perceptual data in real-time at any 3D coordinates in ambient space, the 4D Heatmap mode visualizes spatial variations and trends over time in environmental field data, and the Synaesthesia mode realizes the fusion display of multi-dimensional environmental field data, allowing users to quickly understand the overall condition of the indoor environment with a low cognitive load. Extensive user surveys validate BuildEnVR's intuitiveness and precision, and it is suitable for both experts and general users. © 2024 IEEE.
