Most agricultural supplies companies have established corporate Web presences and Internet strategies by 1999. Though some purchases were made directly by customers, the great majority were made by vendors (channel partners) and not end users. Business owners that witnessed logistical and stock management improvements through e-commerce were more likely to adopt the practice. It was hoped that farmers would take to e-commerce because of the streamlined experience it provided them with researching and buying goods. The proposed methodology begins with the preliminary processes of preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training. After carefully evaluating the raw data, four stages of preprocessing were implemented: treatment of missing values, rectification of skewed distribution, data analysis of outliers, and application of normalization. Both linguistic and informational features are employed in feature extraction. In order to train DE-ELM-RGSO models, feature extraction must first take place. When compared to DE and RGSO, the two most popular alternatives, the proposed technique emerges as the clear winner. By implementing the plan, they increased accuracy to 95.76 percent.

This paper presents a collaborative ensemble system with pictures stories and nature sounds by students' emotions and intentions, represented by body motions. The cultivating aesthetic sensibility for children is especially important for enriching their open-minded and creative personality. Moreover, it can support music and video-applications based on the eurhythmics approach. Current advanced computer-aided education systems can support emotional education efficiency and brings new experiences to both teachers and students. However, the conventional computer-aided education system cannot sufficiently interpret students' emotions, feelings, and intentions for amplifying and conveying an atmosphere shared by students during the class of aesthetic sensibility learning. The feature of our system is that our system can amplify and convey the atmosphere created by the student's physical motions by dynamically changing pictures and sounds through a collaborative ensemble with picture stories and nature sounds. By several experiments testing our prototype, we evaluate the feasibility of the proposed system.

Generally, a position detector has been used to drive the Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (SPMSM), because the current and voltage must be controlled according to the magnetic pole position of the rotor. However, using a position detector causes problems such as more expensive and lower reliability due to position detector failure. Therefore, the speed sensor-less control, which estimates the magnetic pole position from voltage and current without using a position detector, is required. Harmonic components in the output voltage waveform of the PWM inverter used to drive the SPMSM can cause problems such as Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Harmonic components can be suppressed by using an LC filter. In addition, IRM-ILQ control, which combines modern control theory's Inverse Linear Quadratic (ILQ) control and Inverse Reference Model (IRM), can achieve stable and robust SPMSM drive despite with LC filter. In this paper, robustness of speed sensorless control based on IRM-ILQ current control for SPMSM with active LC filter is described. In simulation, the proposed method allows stable control even when there are parameter errors.

The authors are developing a fill-in workbook system that allows faculty members to ascertain the attitude of all students to classes including those who are not active, and improve lectures through well-timed and appropriate actions. To support the actions of teachers to improve lessons and teaching materials, we analyzed the operation logs of students using our Fill-in Workbook System in multiple lessons. The transition of learning attitudes for each lesson and for each time/each slide in the lesson for the entire class is extracted. In addition, to support the student's retrospective review of the lessons, the transition in the attitude of each student to the class is extracted. The results confirmed that lessons in which the class attitude became worse could be detected by analyzing the system focus time and the degree of synchronization between the page explained by the teacher and the page referenced by the student, and that the difference in learning attitudes increased when there were few blanks. In addition, we analyzed the degree of asynchrony (jumping ahead, falling behind) with the teacher's explanation and clarified the relationship between the time taken to explain one page and learning attitude. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the student's individual learning state could be divided into three separate conditions. © 2020 IEEE.

We consider a free boundary problem for the heat equation with a given non-negative external heat source. On the free boundary, we impose the zero Dirichlet condition and the fixed normal derivative so that heat escapes from the boundary. In various settings, we show that there exist no solutions when the initial temperature equals the fixed temperature no matter where the initial location of the free boundary is given provided that the external heat source is bounded from above. We also note that there is a chance to have a solution when the external temperature is unbounded as time tends to zero by giving a self-similar solution. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Petri net modeling for Ising model formulation in quantum annealing

Quantum annealing is an emerging new platform for combinatorial optimization, requiring an Ising model formulation for optimization problems. The formulation can be an essential obstacle to the permeation of this innovation into broad areas of everyday life. Our research is aimed at the proposal of a Petri net modeling approach for an Ising model formulation. Although the proposed method requires users to model their optimization problems with Petri nets, this process can be carried out in a relatively straightforward manner if we know the target problem and the simple Petri net modeling rules. With our method, the constraints and objective functions in the target optimization problems are represented as fundamental characteristics of Petri net models, extracted systematically from Petri net models, and then converted into binary quadratic nets, equivalent to Ising models. The proposed method can drastically reduce the difficulty of the Ising model formulation. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper introduces an advanced charging control system for a Multiple Impact Water Wheel (MIWW) used in pico-hydropower generation. The control system maximizes energy conversion efficiency by employing a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm, which dynamically adjusts the system's operation based on real-time voltage and current measurements. Unlike traditional methods that rely on monitoring rotational speed, this approach simplifies the system by eliminating the need for speed sensors, thereby reducing costs and enhancing reliability. The control system is structured into four main operational phases: the water turbine acceleration phase, optimal control (MPPT) phase, drooping characteristic suppression phase, and overvoltage protection phase. Each phase is designed to optimize distinct aspects of system performance, ensuring stable and efficient power generation under varying water flow conditions. Experimental validation was conducted by subjecting the system to three different water pressure levels (0.036 MPa, 0.048 MPa, and 0.042 MPa). The results demonstrate that the system successfully maintained stable voltage and current, even during rapid fluctuations in water pressure, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed MPPT algorithm. By addressing the challenges of droop characteristics and overvoltage conditions, the control system ensures the reliability and efficiency of pico-hydropower systems. This research contributes to the development of cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions, especially in regions lacking conventional power infrastructure.

This paper describes analysis and evaluation of harmonics reduction for Active LC Low Pass Filter (LC-LPF) attached Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (SPMSM) drive operated by IRM-ILQ (Inverse Reference Model - Inverse Linear Quadratic) current control. Harmonics due to high-speed switching of inverter should be reduced since it brings not only low efficiency motor drive such as torque ripple, also cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) problems. Those problems will be solved by appending LC-LPF though, LC resonant phenomena against inverter's carrier frequency and motor's operating frequency should be considered. The IRM-ILQ control is classified into modern control methods and simultaneously transacts multiple variables. Owing to it, stable motor drive can be realized even though LC-LPF is attached. In experiments, degrees of the harmonics reduction by Active LC-LPF are evaluated via Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and confirmed 2 % of voltage distortion on average in rated speed region.

The authors are developing and using a fill-in workbook system that allows faculty members to ascertain the attitude of all students to classes including students who are not active, and to improve lectures through well-timed and appropriate actions. In this paper, in order to help teachers improve lessons and teaching materials, and to help students review their own learning attitude, we propose functions for retrospective review. We focus on unfocused time, page transitions, number of keyboard operations and number of mouse clicks to extract the learning attitude of each student during the class. This function divides student's learning attitude into five categories, i.e. following the class and concentrated on it, following but not concentrated, jumping ahead, falling behind, and not participating. The system also provides visualization of changes in learning attitude during the class. Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes bind a heme group that acts as a catalytic center. Inhibition mechanisms in CYP enzymes have been studied extensively by biochemical and structural analyses. Noncompetitive inhibitors are generally believed to bind to allosteric sites remote from the active site to form enzyme–substrate–inhibitor (ESI) complexes. Docking simulations predict the binding sites of noncompetitive inhibitors to CYP enzymes, but to date, there has been no experimental structural verification of ESI complexes formed by CYP enzymes. We performed biochemical and structural analyses of CYP105A1 using the imidazole-containing inhibitors ketoconazole, lanoconazole, and miconazole. Enzyme inhibition analyses demonstrated that ketoconazole and miconazole act as competitive inhibitors, whereas lanoconazole acts as a noncompetitive inhibitor of CYP105A1. The obtained X-ray structures of enzyme-inhibitor (EI) complexes showed that lanoconazole can bind in various orientations to the heme iron compared with ketoconazole and miconazole. We also determined the X-ray structure of an ESI complex comprising CYP105A1, diclofenac, and lanoconazole. This structure shows that lanoconazole binds to the heme iron and that diclofenac closely interacts with the bound lanoconazole, but it is positioned distant from the heme group. Quantum mechanical calculations indicate that Cl-π and electrostatic interactions between diclofenac and lanoconazole, and electrostatic interactions between diclofenac and positively charged arginine residues, stabilize the formation of the ESI complex. Based on these results, we propose a mechanism for cooperative inhibition between a substrate and an apparent noncompetitive inhibitor. © 2025 The Authors
