Intellectual capital acquired the Position of an asset in the fourth industrial revolution. An asset that would help companies to reach their targeted tier in the 'talent war' and help them maintain their bottom lines for significant setbacks. With the unforeseen consequences of Covid-19, this asset has become one benefit that needs to be retained. It implies that staying aware of the rapidly developing techniques for recruitment and implementing talented or skilled individual is one factor that assists companies in winning the talent war: the conversation objective, a potential employee to invest significant time and energy in a digitalized world. A better-performing e-recruitment application can bring employees to apply for the job. Thus, this paper sheds light on what upgrades and progressions are necessary for AI-based e-recruitment systems to draw and attain skilled individuals and help organizations achieve their target tier out in the corporate world.

Networking industry has changed a lot in the past few years and as SDN being the new emerging technology of the future, security concerns have risen enormously. Control plane is separated from data plane in SDN providing the network administrators with more control by pushing application codes into the network also making it more vulnerable to attacks. DoS/DDoS are the most dominant attacks that a network of an organisation faces these days, because of the unsupervised network subscriptions and easily available attack tools/*** research aims to integrate the traditional open source IDS with Software Defined Networks and test their capabilities against malicious traffic injected by an attacker. In this paper, we compared two open source IDS Snort and Suricata with SDN and then deliberately injected malicious traffic. We time stamped the DoS/DDoS attack in both scenarios to compare Snort and Suricata true positive and false negative rates. From the results obtained we concluded that used IDS were successfully integrated with a prototype emulated network on Mininet and OpenDaylight being the remote controller and after injecting attacks into the network, it was seen that performance of Snort exceeded than that of Suricata. We propose Snort being the better IDS suited for industry standard deployment.

Stress is attributed as the natural response of body towards unwanted and challenging conditions of society and environment. The consequences of stress are in general very harmful. However, in some specific situations, stress can be highly serious to the human health as it impacts the cardiovascular system in addition to other body sub systems. Timely Detection of stress through physiological sensors may help in arresting the disease. As the stress results in change of heart rate, skin conduction, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen levels, hence, measurement and assessment of these parameters is useful in deciding the stress levels into a candidate. In this paper, a fuzzy logic based automatic stress detection system is designed to timely detect the patients passing through this silent killer disease. The physiological signals of human body are used to assess the current state of person. The parameters used for the purpose are heart rate, Galvanic Skin Response (GSR), and temperature. The fuzzy logic is an exciting branch of artificial intelligence that is used to make useful decisions under uncertain and incomplete input knowledge. A synthetic data set of 500 patients is also developed to train and test the proposed architecture. The algorithms used for this purpose are Hill Climbing (HC) and Simulated Annealing (SA) for fuzzy membership functions training. The results show that Simulated Annealing gives a testing accuracy of 89% in comparison to Hill climbing with 81% accuracy. Future work is directed towards using new methods like type-2 fuzzy logic and deep learning etc. © 2021, ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

The warehouse is often the starting point in a supply chain. Ineffectiveness at a warehouse can cascade into the rest of the supply chain, hurting the customers' experience with the business in the long run. Warehouse Optimization System (WOS) play a crucial role in resolving a significant market issue by optimizing warehouse space and logistical procedures, documenting merchant supply and demand patterns, and making it simpler to handle goods that are about to expire, are out of stock, are broken, or have been abandoned by customers. This issue relates to space and storage in the warehouse, due to the fact that business intelligence, which may include algorithms for anticipating sales and managing warehouse capacity, may be connected to warehouse optimization systems. A case study is described in research of a warehouse optimization system, followed by a demonstration of the problem of gaps within the racks of warehouses. The algorithm solves the problem of fitting boxes with varying dimensions into racks. By using automation and careful design, warehouse optimization increases the effectiveness of how time, space, and resources are used in a warehouse, which enhances customer satisfaction.

Information overload is one of the potential setbacks to many e-commerce platform users. It is very important to filter the media and the choices that are overwhelming for internet users while making buying decisions using online stores. To solve this problem, recommendation systems are used widely. A recommender system helps users find a product of their own choice by filtering and prioritizing and effectively generating the relevant information to its users. The purpose of a recommender system is to save time and hassle of searching through the World Wide Web, instead it generates specific and relevant content that promotes online transaction and bring satisfaction to the users of e-commerce platforms. The proposed system is an e-commerce platform based on an apparel recommendation system that recommends products on the foundation of the user's preferences. © 2021 IEEE.

Aerial Bundle Cables (ABCs) have been used for overhead power distribution in many parts of the world. ABCs are of great interest to metropolitan areas with electrical pilferage problems, as their inherent insulation offers better protection. One such instance is M/s KE deploying ABCs in the coastal city of karachi. The ABCs experienced rapid degradation due to the moist, humid, and harsh environment of karachi. However, the degradation is not visually observable due to insulation, and in turn, compromises early detection. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques offer a solution for condition monitoring of the ABCs for degradation detection. A historical database of appropriate NDT and environmental data enables degradation trend prediction. This research work reports a degradation trend prediction scheme for ABCs using Recursive Neural Network (RNN) based Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. The reported work uses custom-acquired real NDT data of in-service ABCs. Promising results show the efficacy of the AI-based prediction scheme.

The urban centers are considered as the prime hub for the human induced climate change consequences due to the higher anthropogenic activities which results in the occurrence of urban heat island and warmer climate in the urban cities. Pakistan is a developing country with high population growth rate, and pulls large population towards its urban centers due to the better life facilities, which is resulting in sprawling urbanization and rapid landuse changes, ultimately affecting the Normal climate patterns of the major urban cities of country. A number of studies have been conducted in the past to investigate the temperature trends over the high elevation zones and lower plains of country. However, this study was conducted to specifically investigate the annual and seasonal temperature trends over the major urban centers of Pakistan including karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta for the period 1990-2020 using the Mann-Kendall test. The Sen’s slope estimator method was used to detect the change in magnitude, and the serial correlation in the time series data was removed using the Pre-Whitening method. The results obtained showed a warming trend of annual mean temperature at karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Quetta stations at the rate of about 0.005, 0.005, 0.008, and 0.021 °C/year, respectively at 95% confidence interval, while a substantial decreasing trend was found at the Peshawar station. For the Summer season, Peshawar, Lahore, and Islamabad stations showed a declining trend, while an upward trend was found at the remaining stations. For Winter season, Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad, and karachi showed an increasing trend, while a downward trend was found at the Lahore station. For Spring season, Peshawar showed a declining trend, while the remaining stations showed a warming trend. Thus, it was concluded that the landuse changes, rapid urbanization and migrations, and other anthropogenic activities are among the main causes for the warming temperatures

Distance estimation of moving objects from the camera with accuracy is a challenging task in the digital era where human interaction increases with smart systems and state-of-The-Art applications. The wide-ranging applications of distance estimation include the 'zooming' effect in a document reader and finding the power of the correction lens for eyesight (eyesight testing). A lot of research has already been done on different methods of distance estimation like the most widely-used methods of "mono-vision"and "stereo-vision". The purpose of this study is to introduce a novel approach to finding the distance between the face and the camera with a high degree of accuracy and speed. The proposed method is based on detecting, measuring, and calculating the size of irises on an image of a human face obtained from a single camera, and a Supervised Machine Learning algorithm. The open-source Mediapipe Python package has been employed to extract the irises from the images. The proposed method has given the results of the estimated distance with an average accuracy of 95.6%. © 2022 IEEE.

The paper presents a real-time location tracking and long-range multi-hop communication system using (Global Positioning System) GPS-enabled LoRa devices. The system uses differential corrections in the GPS data received at the communicating marine stations. Differential corrections are calculated at the Base Station and applied to the moving stations' GPS measurements to increase the location precision. Furthermore, the system provides multi-hop routing based on RSSI and the hop count of the LoRa nodes. NAVTRAK performs real-time tracking and monitoring of moving ships and sends them alert messages in critical situations. The experimental results show that the system improves the accuracy of GPS measurements by up to 1 meter. The designed system is not restricted to being used for marine applications and is feasible in scenarios (e.g., navigation, surveying, and other scientific applications) where accurate positioning is critical, the equipment cost and infrastructure need to be justified by the benefits of increased accuracy and communication range.
