The purpose of this study is to obtain an improved and optimized network with minimum end-to-end delay and improved throughput by using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) for multimedia communication. The proposed study also increases the Quality of Service (QoS) with the consideration of the optimal path. Nowadays, the transformation of multimedia information is essential for the users however, many factors affect the transmission of multimedia communication, such as quality of service, end-to-end delay, energy efficiency, and many more. This paper is intended to provide an efficient algorithm for multimedia communication that overcomes the factors mentioned above. For validating our proposed methodology simulation will be carried out for multimedia traffic and video streamed network traffic using OPNET Simulator. Comparison with existing algorithms will prove that the suggested algorithm outperforms them and provides better efficiency.

The concept of augmented reality markerless tracking is introduced. This concept provides a flexible and practical framework and is especially relevant for video game augmented reality applications. Markerless AR has been comprised of the universal communal. Markerless augmented reality is the encounter proficiency that's now prepared for the primary time. The perception of this report is that the handler's aspect at the live appearance of the camera of their portable phone in three dimensional and the passage that they see that is the certainty is developed by assimilated three- dimensional virtual objects. Augmented reality games have the authority to outspread virtual gaming into real-world circumstances with real people, while improving the senses of the user. This paper designates the AR-zombie game established with the purpose of detected and unindustrialized mobile augmented reality submissions, precisely for gaming, using ground plane detection collaboration techniques. The objective of the AR zombie player is to kill zombies that are identified through the demonstration of the device. Instead of using indicators as a mean of tracking zombies, this game integrates a ground plane detection system, which will augment the user experience by improving the interface of performers with the real world. As the player travels around the environment, the game will show virtual zombies on the display if the detected ground plane is predictable as belonging to the class of the zombies. AR zombie was tested with users to evaluate the interaction with the real world and its types of tracks were evaluated concerning the presentation to confirm a better gaming familiarity. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper presents an improved tuning fork gyroscope (TFG) structure utilizing two gyroscope drive resonator frames and a diamond-shaped coupling spring mechanism. It explores a two-degree-of-freedom system for the drive mode frame with a coupling mechanism to reduce external vibration sensitivity while keeping angular rate sensitivity. Expressions are derived to study and optimize the coupling spring structure. FEM modeling using ANSYS software validates the expressions that are derived. Simulations were performed to ensure anti-phase motion and avoid structural imbalance induced in-phase motion. Simulations demonstrate compensation for force imbalance and preservation of anti-phase motion. FEM modal analysis confirms a significant frequency separation of 10.90 kHz between in-phase and anti-phase resonant frequencies, with values at 6.81 kHz and 17.713 kHz, respectively. The improved frequency separation in TFG can ensure robustness against external environmental vibrations when fabrication imperfections occur and ensure better reliability for the measurement of angular velocity in inertial sensing applications.

The atmosphere’s fine articulate Matter (PM2.5) poses various health-related risks. Even though multiple efforts have been made to lower the emissions of these substances, the mortality rate is continuously increasing, requiring immediate inclination of the scientific community towards the design and development of advanced predictive models. Conventional statistical approaches have become dormant due to their limitations in capturing the innate relationships between the pollutants, particularly for predicting PM2.5 concentrations. In contrast, machine and deep learning techniques have shown great potential for forecasting air quality, providing more accuracy than its predecessor techniques. The present study investigates the utilization of hybrid approaches by integrating machine learning models with deep learning models to improve the prediction capabilities of PM2.5 concentration. It uses datasets from the World Air Quality Index (WAQI) and the State of Global Air (SOGA) to analyze the performance of the models on both the daily and annual data, respectively. This ensures the model’s effectiveness on a diversified dataset. The present study implements Random Forest (RF), Polynomial Regression (PR), XGBoost, and Extra Tree Regressor (ETR) coupled with Fully Connected Neural Network (FCNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Bi-directional LSTM (Bi-LSTM) for obtaining optimized results. Finally, after a thorough investigation, the hybrid PR model coupled with FCNN (PR-FCNN) is found to be the best model with improved R-squared (R2) values, portraying its potential for predicting PM2.5 concentration accurately. Based on the experimentation, the preset study recommends implementing hybrid approaches, offering better predictive accuracy in forecasting air pollutants, especially PM2.5. © The Author(s) 2024.

During the recent COVID-19 pandemic, Medical Body area networks (MBANs) emerged as an essential tool for the early diagnosis and treatment of infected patients. MBANs played an instrumental role in the remote treatment of COVID patients through early diagnosis using machine learning and IoT (Internet of Things). MBANs have paved their way in the health care industry and are being used in remote monitoring, emergency handling, and elderly assistance. The availability of the IEEE 802.15.6 standard has opened doors for new wearable consumer devices and IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) enabled applications to facilitate disease management. This standard was developed for wireless communication at a short-range, around the human body with low power requirements. This standard allows 2hop star topology within an intra-MBAN so that when direct communication is not possible, alternate routes are available through relays. This paper proposes a protocol for an intra-MBAN topology, which is a novel T-Relay mechanism that implements the 2-hop star topology. To validate the proposed protocol, it was tested on OMNeT ++ framework with Castalia Simulator for various scenarios. The simulation results show that the T-Relay mechanism enhances the PDR when the channel has variations. © 2021 IEEE.

Communication between normal people and deaf people is the most difficult part of daily life worldwide. It is difficult for a normal person to understand a word from the deaf one in their daily routine. So, to communicate with deaf people, different countries developed different sign languages to make communication easy. In Pakistan, for deaf people, the government developed Urdu Sign Language to communicate with deaf people. Physical trainers and experts are difficult to provide everywhere in society, so we need such a computer/mobile-based system to convert the deaf sign symbol into voice and written alphabet that the normal person can easily get the intentions of the deaf one. In this paper, we provided an image processing and deep learning-based model for Urdu Sign Language. The proposed model is implemented in Python 3 and uses different image processing and machine techniques to capture the video and transform the symbols into voice and Urdu writing. First, we get a video from the deaf person, and then the model crops the frames into pictures. Then, the individual picture is recognized for the sign symbol such as if the deaf showed a symbol for one, then the model recognizes it and shows the letter which he/she wants to tell. Image processing techniques such as OpenCV are used for image recognition and classification while TensorFlow and linear regression are used for training the model to behave intelligently in the future. The results show that the proposed model increased accuracy from 80% to 97% and 100% accordingly. The accuracy of the previously available work was 80% when we implemented the algorithms, while with the proposed algorithm, when we used linear regression, we achieved the highest accuracy. Similarly, when we used the TensorFlow deep learning algorithm, we achieved 97% accuracy which was less than that of the linear regression model. © 2023 Hira Zahid et al.

Water is one of the most essential and necessary element that we require in our daily life, although it may become life threatening for the people living near to the river bank. In many cities of Pakistan, controlling the flood situation is a major problem. Due to the poor management and lack of dams, the chances of flood may increase exponentially. First priority is to save the lives of the people living close to the river bank, hence technology can play an important role in this regard to solve this problem at some extent. In this paper, a Wireless sensor network (WSN) based system is proposed to warn the nearby villages about the impending flood situation so they may take precautionary step to save their lives. Four nodes are introduced for four different river locations to constantly monitor the flow and the level of the river water. These four nodes will deliver their information to a master node holding all the necessary information and will generate a warning in case of flood. © 2018, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management.

Radial tires have a large market share in the tire market due to their better wear resistance and puncture resistance. However, the complexity of the production process makes impurities and irregular cord spacing defects often appear in the body cord area. In this paper, a method relying on X-ray images to detect impurities and irregular cord spacing defects is proposed. The detection problems of these two types of defects are transformed into calculating cord pixel spacing and background connected domains. Firstly, the tire crown, tire ring, and tire body regions are segmented by a novel semantic segmentation network (SSN). Then the background and the cord are separated by an adaptive binarization method. Finally, the irregular cord spacing defects are detected through the refinement and column statistics. The impurities of tire body are located by the marks of the connected domains. The experimental results of the X-ray images show that this method can meet the positioning requirements of irregular shaped impurities. A idea of setting the threshold column effectively improves the detection speed of irregular cord spacing. In addition, the detection accuracy rates for both types of defects are higher than 90 %, which is helpful for further research on various types of tire defects and the design of an automatic tire defect identification system. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Mechanical and environmental performance evaluation of meta-kaolin and silica fume-modified steel fiber embedded concrete: A sustainable construction

In this experimental study, mechanical strength, and environmental characteristics of concrete were evaluated. Concrete was prepared by replacing cement with green cementitious material silica fume and meta-kaolin, Additionally, concrete is blended with steel fiber as a means to enhance the concrete characteristics. Response surface methodology was employed for designing the series of experiment and proportions. Two models were constructed in RSM separately, one model consists of meta-kaolin (MK) and steel fiber, while other consists of silica fume (SF) and steel fiber. Findings of both models were compared to each other to study the effects of SF and MK on concrete through the addition of steel fiber. Concrete was tested for compressive strength (CS), split tensile strength (STS), FS (FS), modulus of elasticity (MoE), ultra-sonic pulse velocity (UPV) and symbolized carbon (EC) with eco-strength efficiency (ESE) remained likewise estimated. As per the investigation, it was concluded that addition of 10 % MK with 1 % steel fiber in concrete offers the extreme mechanical strength among the mixes containing MK as a cementitious replacement material and concrete containing 10 % of SF with 1 % of steel fiber exhibits the maximum mechanical strengths among the proportions containing SF in concrete. It was found that concrete containing SF exhibit higher mechanical strength in comparison to concrete in which MK is used as cement supplementary material. Concrete containing 10 % MK or SF reinforced with 1 % steel fiber has the highest ESE. Concrete containing 10 % MK and 1 % steel fiber increases CS, STS, FS and MOE by 14 %, 7.29 %, 8 % and 7.29 % respectively. While concrete mixes containing 10 % SF and 1 % steel fiber enhances the CS, STS, FS and MOE by 19.11 %, 17.23 %, 10 % and 10.06 % respectively in comparison to control mix. Finally, Statistical equations were developed for anticipating the value of each response by using independent variables (MK, SF and steel fiber)
