Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have been noticed and researched nowadays. These new type of networks have unique characteristics. WSNs have different limitations such as comput.tional power, storage capacity, energy source and etc. The main constraint of wireless sensor networks is energy. The energy source of sensor nodes is limited and not rechargeable. Therefore, optimizing consumption of energy is essential for WSNs protocols. Hypercube topology is very popular in distributed environments. In last few years, many different topology specific routing algorithms have been designed for wireless sensor networks, but to the best of our knowledge, none of them consider hypercube as their topology. In this paper, different routing algorithms are proposed for WSN with hypercube topology. The performance of all proposed routing algorithms is evaluated, and the best algorithm which can provide more fairness is introduced. Simulation results which are represented in last section of this paper are the base of our conclusions. The main goal of this paper is to find a fair energy aware routing algorithm for wireless sensor network connected as hypercube.

It is widely recognized that device and interconnect fabrics at the nanoscale will be characterized by an increased susceptibility to transient faults. This appears to be intrinsic to nanoscale regimes and fundamentally limits the eventual benefits of the increased device density, i.e., the overheads associated with achieving fault-tolerance may counter the benefits of increased device density -- density-reliability tradeoff. At the same time, as devices scale down one can expect a higher proportion of area to be associated with interconnection, i.e., area is wire dominated. This paper theoretically explores density-reliability tradeoffs in wire dominated integrated systems. We derive an area scaling model based on simple assumptions capturing the salient features of hierarchical design for high performance systems. We then evaluate overheads associated with using basic fault-tolerance techniques at different levels of the design hierarchy. This, albeit simplified model, allows us to tackle several interesting questions: When does it make sense to use smaller less reliable devices? At what scale of the design hierarchy should fault tolerance be applied in high performance integrated systems? Our analysis reveals two critical parameters, the technology and design scaling factors, which are key to predicting the reliability requirements for emerging technologies if traditional hierarchical design continues to be used.

In a distributed wireless network, it is possible to employ several relays and mimic a multiple antenna transmission system. In this paper we propose a MAC layer solution that allows multiple relays to send information to the receiver at unison, using a randomized distributed space time code. The randomized space-time coding can recruit relays on the fly, thus significantly reducing signaling overhead. The cross-layer design between physical layer and MAC layer involves relay discovery and rate adaptation, and results in improvements in throughput and delay performance. The design is dynamic and can be adapted to changing network conditions. The proposed MAC scheme can be integrated into various wireless technologies such as distributed contention based networks (e.g., IEEE 802.11 BSS and ad hoc mode) as well as centralized multiple access networks (e.g., IEEE 802.16).

We propose an algorithm for estimating the common secondary structure, alignment, and posterior base pairing probabilities for two RNA sequences. A definition of structural alignment is presented based on a novel concept of matched helical regions that generalizes the common secondary structure and alignment constraints used in prior work. A probabilistic framework for scoring structural alignments is developed based on a pseudo free energy model. Utilizing the model, maximum a posteriori probability estimates of secondary structure and alignment, and a posteriori probabilities for base pairing are comput.d using an efficient dynamic programming algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method offers significant improvements in structure and alignment prediction accuracy in comparison with single sequence thermodynamic methods for secondary structure prediction and purely sequence based alignment.

Traditional hop-by-hop dynamic routing makes inefficient use of network resources as it forwards packets along already congested shortest paths while uncongested longer paths may be underutilized. To maintain network-wide load balancing, we propose Autonomous Network management with Team learning based Self-configuration (ANTS) which attempts to manage a feasible route for traffic flow with QoS constraints in heterogeneous networks. To enable cognitive intelligence for network-wide load balancing, we implement a cross-layer mechanism in which learning agents in middleware layer can monitor the queue sizes of MAC layer, thereby allowing for the discovery of optimal routes. We present OPNET simulation results illustrating that, in comparison to original OSPF and AODV (2.18 Mbits/s with 46.46% packet loss rate), ANTS dramatically achieves a higher packet delivery (9.57 Mbits/s with 0.53% packet loss rate).

Spectral representations are developed for the Green functions of 3D problems with a 1D periodicity. The periodic Greenpsilas functions are represented in terms of continuous transverse spectrum rather than conventional discrete (Floquet) longitudinal spectrum. In the framework of these expansions, the periodic Greenpsilas functions are obtained in terms of a small number of direct source contributions, a small number of pole (Floquet mode) contributions, and a rapidly convergent integral that can be evaluated using a small number of quadrature nodes. The presented scheme works seamlessly for any practical periodicities and observer location within the periodic unit cell.

Impacts of modulated acoustic phonons on electron transport in a free-standing cylindrical semiconductor nanowire are theoretically studied. We formulate the electron scattering rate and mobility limited by the intra-valley acoustic phonon scattering mechanism, using bulk and modulated acoustic phonons in a [001]-directed Si nanowire. The scattering rate calculated using modulated acoustic phonons is larger than that with bulk phonons, and therefore the mobility is smaller when modulated acoustic phonons are incorporated. These results are attributed to an increase of the form factor due to acoustic phonon modulation. The form factor increase has a universality independent of wire material and radius.
