The agriculture sector plays an important role to the nation's economy, contributing significantly to GDP and employing a sizable section of the labour force. Nonetheless, precisely projecting food production and demand remains a difficult task. Traditional prediction approaches are time-consuming and prone to errors, resulting in inefficient resource allocation and financial losses. To solve these issues, we offer an innovative platform that uses machine learning algorithms to predict the best crops for production based on environmental conditions, as well as forecast market demand and pricing patterns for those *** comparing the effectiveness of various crop forecast classification models, the Voting Classifier, which incorporates numerous models, scored an amazing accuracy rate of 0.986. This predictive power can help farmers and stakeholders make more informed decisions, resulting to better profitability and resource efficiency. Furthermore, for price estimate, we used a Stacking Regressor model, which combines the top two models, the Random Forest Regressor and the XGBoosting Regressor. The Stacking Regressor performed better than the individual regression models, earning an optimised MSE of 277.58. This ensemble approach greatly improved price estimation accuracy, allowing stakeholders to make more informed decisions and increase profitability in the agriculture industry. Finally, the suggested intelligent platform offers a promising option for precise crop forecast and price estimation, benefiting farmers and stakeholders by optimising resource allocation, increasing profitability, and contributing to the agriculture sector's longterm growth. © 2024 IEEE.

IoT devices rely on authentication mechanisms to render secure message *** data transmission,scalability,data integrity,and processing time have been considered challenging aspects for a system constituted by IoT *** application of physical unclonable functions(PUFs)ensures secure data transmission among the internet of things(IoT)devices in a simplified network with an efficient time-stamped *** paper proposes a secure,lightweight,cost-efficient reinforcement machine learning framework(SLCR-MLF)to achieve decentralization and security,thus enabling scalability,data integrity,and optimized processing time in IoT *** has been integrated into SLCR-MLF to improve the security of the cluster head node in the IoT platform during transmission by providing the authentication service for device-to-device *** IoT network gathers information of interest from multiple cluster members selected by the proposed *** addition,the software-defined secured(SDS)technique is integrated with SLCR-MLF to improve data integrity and optimize processing time in the IoT *** analysis shows that the proposed framework outperforms conventional methods regarding the network’s lifetime,energy,secured data retrieval rate,and performance *** enabling the proposed framework,number of residual nodes is reduced to 16%,energy consumption is reduced by up to 50%,almost 30%improvement in data retrieval rate,and network lifetime is improved by up to 1000 msec.

Image-based rice leaf disease detection using CNN and generative adversarial network

Rice is a major crop and staple food for more than half of the world’s population and plays a vital role in ensuring food security as well as the global economy pests and diseases pose a threat to the production of rice and have a substantial impact on the yield and quality of the crop. In recent times, deep learning methods have gained prominence in predicting rice leaf diseases. Despite the increasing use of these methods, there are notable limitations in existing approaches. These include a scarcity of extensive and diverse collections of leaf disease images, lower accuracy rates, higher time complexity, and challenges in real-time leaf disease detection. To address the limitations, we explicitly investigate various data augmentation approaches using different generative adversarial networks (GANs) for rice leaf disease detection. Along with the GAN model, advanced CNN-based classifiers have been applied to classify the images with improving data augmentation. Our approach involves employing various GANs to generate high-quality synthetic images. This strategy aims to tackle the challenges posed by limited and imbalanced datasets in the identification of leaf diseases. The key benefit of incorporating GANs in leaf disease detection lies in their ability to create synthetic images, effectively augmenting the dataset’s size, enhancing diversity, and reducing the risk of overfitting. For dataset augmentation, we used three distinct GAN architectures—namely simple GAN, CycleGAN, and DCGAN. Our experiments demonstrated that models utilizing the GAN-augmented dataset generally outperformed those relying on the non-augmented dataset. Notably, the CycleGAN architecture exhibited the most favorable outcomes, with the MobileNet model achieving an accuracy of 98.54%. A verifiable multi-secret image sharing scheme based on DNA encryption

A multi-secret image sharing (MSIS) scheme facilitates the secure distribution of multiple images among a group of participants. Several MSIS schemes have been proposed with a (n, n) structure that encodes secret input images into n share images. This encoding ensures that if a subset of participants collude, no information about the secret images can be revealed. The secret images can only be recovered if all participants cooperate. Most of these schemes are built using basic Boolean operations, primarily XOR operations. MSIS schemes that rely on Boolean logic offer various benefits compared to other methods, such as the ability to recover data without any loss, no increase in pixel size, and efficient computation. This article presents a verifiable MSIS scheme that relies on a secure two-variable one-way function and a secure hash function. The scheme allows for independent verification of both the dealer and the participants to detect any cheating attempts. The proposed scheme utilizes the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) encryption technique to leverage the inherent benefits of DNA computing, such as enhanced security, fast computation, minimal storage needs, and low power usage. The share images produced by the proposed scheme exhibit an average entropy of 7.99, indicating that the generated 8-bit share images are completely random. Additionally, the correlation coefficient is approximately 0.005, suggesting that neighboring pixels in the images are not related to each other. Stress has a remarkable impact on various cognitive functions, demanding timely and effective detection using strategies deployed across interdisciplinary domains. It influences decision-making, attention, learning, and problem-solving abilities. As a result, stress detection and modeling have become important areas of study in both psychology and computer science. This study links the fields of psychology and machine learning to deal with the urgent requirement of accurate stress detection methodologies and highlights sleep patterns as a key indicator for stress detection, discussing a novel approach to understand and determine stress levels. Psychologists use affective states to measure stress, which refers to a sense of feeling an underlying emotional state. However, most stress classification work has been limited to user-dependent models, which new users cannot use without additional training. This can be a significant time burden for new users trying to predict their affective states. Therefore, it is critical to address basic mental health issues in children and adults to prevent them from developing more complex problems on account of undergoing stress. The medical field processes vast amounts of medical data;the machine learning algorithms sift through patterns that might escape the human eye. The machine learning algorithms act as detectives, able to spot correlations and bring out a sense of complex information. The machine learning algorithms reveal fine correlations and patterns, aiding in more precise and prompt diagnoses particularly to focus fundamental mental health issues in individuals of all ages. This research work deploys an enhanced Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), exhibiting an extensive feature analysis for processing medical datasets, resulting in improved effectiveness in predicting stress levels. Apple Leaf Disease Detection Using Transfer Learning

Automated detection of plant diseases is crucial as it simplifies the task of monitoring large farms and identifies diseases at their early stages to mitigate further plant degradation. Besides the decline in plant health, reduced production severely impacts the country’s economy. Traditional disease identification methods, relying on human experts, are slow, time-consuming, and impractical for large farms. Our proposed model utilizes a combination of pre-trained Resnet18, Alexnet, GoogLeNet, and VGG16 networks to classify apple tree leaves into categories such as healthy, black rot, apple cedar rust, and apple scab based on images. Various image enhancement techniques were employed to enhance the model’s accuracy. Ultimately, our model achieved an accuracy of 97.25% on the validation dataset, demonstrating excellent performance across various metrics. Proposing a digital twin-based sustainable water governance system for rural Indian villages

A sustainably governed water-ecosystem at village-level is crucial for the community's well-being. It requires understanding natures’ limits to store and yield water and balance it with the stakeholders’ needs, in the context of population growth, climate change, and unsustainable agricultural practices. Maharashtra villages like Randullabad and Karanjkhop are impacted by limited groundwater availability due to the geological structure of the Deccan Traps basaltic rock formation and are recharged by the most rainfall during the monsoon season. Traditional water management practices are inadequate, with old wells causing conflicts among villagers due to fluctuating water levels. In order to achieve a sustainable water system for rural Indian villages, this paper proposes a Digital Twin-Based Water Governance System (DToWGS) with the aim of balancing nature's boundaries with stakeholders' interests to provide real-time water insights, encourage community engagement, transparency in water allocation and decision-making, and promote sustainable practices. Hybrid Deep Learning Approach for Sentiment Analysis on Twitter Data

Social media is nowadays a vital platform where people can share their feelings about any incident, product, or any issue. Twitter is one of those platforms which are very popular. If we must make use of this to extract some information and to use that to make recommendation systems, to know the mental status of any person or to find the review, we have to perform the sentiment analysis of those tweets. Recently, deep learning approaches emerged as powerful computational models that discover intricate semantic representations of texts automatically from data without feature engineering. This present work discusses how to find the sentiments from a stream of tweets from the twitter, blogging site subjected to pre-processing and classification supported on emotion of the subject matter as "POSITIVE" or "NEGATIVE". We have used a twitter dataset of 1.6 million data consisting of general tweets on various domains with 800,000 POSITIVE and 800,000 NEGATIVE sentiments. We have developed 3 models with Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Bi-directional RNN, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). Our work focuses on the way which will help us to understand the basic sentiment of people which they want to express by their tweets, comment, or blogs. We have obtained highest accuracy of 83.50%, F1 score of 84.60% from our model with LSTM architecture in analysing the sentiment. LSTMs are specifically designed to address the vanishing gradient problem that occurs in traditional RNNs when learning long-term dependencies. In sentiment analysis, understanding the sentiment of a tweet may require capturing dependencies between words that are spread across a potentially long sequence.
