The placement of distributed generation (DG) units in power systems is an efficient way for energy loss reduction, especially when the penetration of DG in modern systems is growing due to their impacts on environmental sustainability. On the other hand, load variations and methods of electricity consumption affect energy losses amount. Therefore, power demand variations have an essential role in the determination of energy loss amount and optimal generation of DG. However, considering the variability of load level in the DG allocation problem increases the burden and computational time, and neglecting it causes the energy losses to be calculated inaccurately. Therefore, this paper aims to evaluate the effect of load patterns on renewable DG allocation plans in order to find out the importance of considering load variations in energy loss minimization via DG placement. The analysis has been conducted on 7-, 12-, 16-, 28-, 30-, 33-, 59-, 69-, 70-, 84-, and 119-bus distribution systems by a classic optimization tool named AMPL.

This paper investigates the application of Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) to stabilize multi-mode torsional oscillations of sub-synchronous resonance (SSR), and to improve the transient stability during a three phase short circuit fault that may result in oscillatory torques on the generator rotor shaft causing serious damages to the system and may call for the disconnection of a wind farm to avoid any possible damages. Simulation is carried out using MATLAB/Simulink software. Results show that the proposed UPFC controller is very effective in damping all SSR modes of the system under study and in minimizing the potential for the wind farm disconnection during the studied faults. The proposed controller is simple and easy to be implemented.

In order to operate a public transportation system, it is necessary to plan the grounded fleet lines among the various origin/destination spread all over the city to better attend population displacement during the day, which uses the bus transportation system. To improve planning operation of the public transportation system, it is proposed a linear programming model to optimize the overall performance of transit systems, by setting the optimum buses fleet for every bus line of each company constrained to an accepted delay between any two bus stop on the bus circuit but with a minimum profit for the companies. As the routes are different for time to time during the day such as rush hour. The proposed model can cope with all the kinds of patterns during the day and the propose is to optimise the whole transportation system. It is discussed also the complexity of the nature of the dynamic of the transportation system. The mathematical modelling can show us correctly a way to qualify and quantify the routes, what helps to understand the dynamic behavior of the population through time, different situations and epochs. Simulations present the viability of implantation for real time system to estimate the transportation system as it changes.

Recently, the Indonesian government requires auditors, the need for auditors around 40,000 auditors in 2016, currently has only about 10,800 auditors, however, the lack of the auditors impacting the risk of financial loss for the state. Referring to the problem, this experimental research was conducted. The experiment of the research was conducted two times and the audit topic is a compliance audit in the year 2017 and year 2018. The goal of this research is to know, can the stakeholder act as an IT and general compliance auditor? The experiment was conducted by 8 university students in 2017 and 19 university students in 2018, and the supporting tools of audit activities the university student use the smartphone to capture the object as evidence. The experiment results with descriptive method show university students can act as an auditor and found several pieces of evidence that might cause future impact to the institution.

The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (in short, UAVs, aka drones) for cultural and entertainment purposes, such as drone light shows, has grown exponentially. One such innovative and creative application is the visual arts using drones to explore long-exposure photography. Light painting are generally performed indoors and outdoors in a dedicated space with a human using a moving light source to create spectacular images and save the movement perception in a picture. In this work, we propose a robotic perception system designed to choreograph UAV movements based on time-parametric curves or image edges, serving as reference motions. Our framework begins by processing a digital image, extracting its contours through boundary tracing, and subsequently generating a safe, navigable, and precise path for UAV motion planning. This process involves optimizing waypoints within the UAV workspace to determine a feasible trajectory that encompasses all designated points or computes safe trajectories utilizing established mathematical equations. The validation of the motion planning is performed through light painting, where the UAV can either fly through the motion reference to mimic the original image. The generated trajectories on light painting mode by physical robots are compared against the ground-truth demonstrating the accuracy of the applied control scheme.

We introduce the problem of communication with partial information, where there is an asymmetry between the transmitter and the receiver codebooks. Practical applications of the proposed setup include the robust signal hashing problem within the context of multimedia security and asymmetric communications with resource-lacking receivers. We study this setup in a binary detection theoretic context for the additive colored Gaussian noise channel. In our proposed setup, the partial information available at the detector consists of dimensionality-reduced versions of the transmitter codewords, where the dimensionality reduction is achieved via a linear transform. We first derive the corresponding MAP-optimal detection rule and the corresponding conditional probability of error (conditioned on the partial information the detector possesses). Then, we constructively quantify an optimal class of linear transforms, where the cost function is the expected Chernoff bound on the conditional probability of error of the MAP-optimal detector.

This paper deals with the computation of ground resistance, surface voltage, touch voltage and step voltage, to mesh with horizontal wires arranged in different angles. The computerprogram implemented used in the mathematical modeling is based on the method proposed by Heppe, which allows obtaining the grounding parameters for homogeneous soil and soil stratified in two layers. Furthermore, the results obtained by the Variable Currents Method (VCM) have been compared to traditional methods and the simplified method of ANSI-IEEE Std. 80/2013. They also present the results using a grounding grid with wires on various angles.
