We consider the use of a domain proxy assisted private citizen broadband radio service (CBRS) network and propose a Maximum Transmission Continuity (MTC) scheme to transmit Internet of Things (IoT) data reliably. MTC dynamically allocates available CBRS channels to sustain the continuity of data transmission without violating the channel access requirements. MTC allocates the granted CBRS channels according to the priority of each user, the instant channel access status, interference among users, and the fairness. The simulation results demonstrate the improvement in managing reliable IoT data transmission in the private CBRS network. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Rain attenuation statistics for an average year in Nonthaburi, Thailand, in 2013-2014, are presented. Particularly, two statistics were calculated from the raw and preprocessed power-level data of the Ku-band beacon signal received at the Thaicom earth station. These statistics were compared with the ITU-R prediction models in 1999 and 2007-2013. The results show that preprocessing is necessary to generate the statistics and the ITU-R prediction models are not very accurate; the ITU-R models generally tend to underestimate the rain attenuation statistics. Specifically, these models underestimate by more than 4 dB when the availability is more than 99.9%.

Light field microscopy (LFM) uses a microlens array (MLA) near the sensor plane of a microscope to achieve single-shot 3D imaging of a sample, without any moving parts. Unfortunately, the 3D capability of LFM comes with a significant loss of lateral resolution at the focal plane, which is highly undesirable in microscopy. Placing the MLA near the pupil plane of the microscope, rather than the image plane, can mitigate the artifacts near focus and provide an efficient shift-invariant model at the expense of field-of-view. Here, we show that our Fourier DiffuserScope achieves significantly better performance than Fourier LFM. Fourier DiffuserScope uses a diffuser in the pupil plane to encode depth information, then reconstructs volumetric information computationally by solving a sparsity-constrained inverse problem. Our diffuser consists of randomly placed microlenses with varying focal lengths. We show that by randomizing the microlens positions, a larger lateral field-of-view can be achieved compared to a conventional MLA;furthermore, by adding diversity to the focal lengths, the axial depth range is increased. To predict system performance based on diffuser parameters, we for the first time establish a theoretical framework as a design guideline, followed by numerical simulations to verify. Under both theoretical and numerical analysis, we demonstrate that our diffuser design provides more uniform resolution over a larger volume, both laterally and axially, outperforming the MLA used in LFM. We build an experiment system with an optimized lens set and achieve 3 volume. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) is very important to achieve the best operation and ensure the safe and continuous operation of wind energy conversion (WEC) systems. Over the last decade, artificial neural networks surpass classical machine learning models in a variety of FDD tasks. On the other hand, ensemble learning (EL) techniques have gained significant attention from the scientific community. EL is a technique that creates and combines multiple machine learning models in order to produce one optimal predictive model which gives improved results. The goal of this paper is to develop and validate effective neural networks based ensemble approach. First, an ensemble classifier based on neural networks techniques and using bagging, boosting, and random subspace combination techniques is proposed. Second, an improved extension of the proposed neural networks-based ensemble technique is presented. The main idea behind this proposal is to determine variable relationships via a data-reduction framework using Hierarchical K-means (H-K-means) clustering method in order to overcome the problem of computation time and storage cost. Finally, the results obtained from the proposed neural networks-based ensemble techniques are compared with other ensemble and single machine learning methods to illustrate and validate the advantages of the proposed techniques. © 2022, The Authors. With the increase of the search for computational models where the expression of parallelism occurs naturally, some paradigms arise as options for the current generation of computers. In this context, dynamic dataflow and Gamma—General Abstract Model for Multiset mAnipulation—emerge as interesting computational model choices. In dynamic dataflow model, operations are performed as soon as their associated operands are available, without rely on a program Counter to dictate the execution order of instructions. The Gamma paradigm is based on a parallel multiset rewriting scheme. It provides a nondeterministic execution model inspired by an abstract chemical machinemetaphor, where operations are formulated as reactions that occur freely among matching elements belonging to the multiset. In this work, equivalence relations between the dynamic dataflow and Gamma paradigms are exposed and explored, while methods to convert from dataflow to Gamma paradigm and vice versa are provided. It is shown that vertices and edges of a dynamic dataflow graph can correspond, respectively, to reactions and multiset elements in the Gamma paradigm. This work provides the scientific community with the possibility of taking profit of both parallel programming models, contributing with a versatility component to researchers and developers. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

We propose a method for process monitoring of a semiconductor manufacturing process. Independent component analysis (ICA) is applied to characterize E-test parameter data. We calculate angular confidence intervals for the model, eliminate marginally significant components and implement control charts for significant components of interest. Alarms are generated off of deviations in the charted components. Alarms are easily used in process diagnosis based on the interpretation of the independent components.

YouTube is a widely-used platform in Indonesia, with 93.8% of its users. As such, it presents a valuable opportunity for marketing tourist destinations, particularly in Riau province, which aims to become Indonesia's top Halal travel destination. Tourism is a vital contributor to the economic growth of regions, and each province in Indonesia competes to promote its tourist attractions to attract more visitors every year. However, the large volume of data can challenge the manual analysis of feedback from YouTube's features, such as likes, dislikes, and comments. A literature review suggests that the Naive Bayes algorithm, which uses machine learning, is helpful for sentiment analysis. Therefore, this study aims to analyze public sentiment toward tourist destinations in Riau province by analyzing YouTube comments using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The study used 1680 opinions collected from 10 YouTube videos showcasing tourist destinations in Riau. The Naive Bayes algorithm classified 60% of the comments as positive, 32% as neutral, and 8% as negative. The experimental results indicated an accuracy and precision of 73%, a recall of 94%, and an F-1 Score of 82%. The study used the word frequency technique to reveal that Riau could become a popular halal tourist destination based on several frequently occurring words in the comments. © 2023 IEEE.

This research aims to develop a framework for writing a business plan that support innovation for undergraduate students. The scope of this research is circumscribed to undergraduate students in Thailand. In respect of internet technology advancement and the popularity of internet access of teenagers, the researcher employs e-learning instruction media, which is considered a keystone to reduce educational inequalities. The study particularly introduces an established Nanoka's knowledge creation concept, which consists of Socialisation, Externalisation, Combination and Internalisation. In earlier times, this concept has been verified to create the domain of innovation in business organisation. Remarkably, it has been employed in the process of teaching innovative business plans and creativity management. This process specifically incorporates active learning, which turns the passive role of merely listening to active learners. The framework offers three principal contributions: first, to develop a new educational platform that implements active learning into E-Learning styles; second, to develop of an uncommon conceptual framework that adheres to theory reflecting good practices for innovation creation; third, taking this concept into practice, to help the universities build upon core strengths and students' innovation skills. It is the confluence of all contributions that make for a full-fledged entrepreneurial university.

Home security is a crucial aspect that requires careful attention, particularly when it comes to addressing theft concerns. Hence, implementing smart door technology equipped with facial recognition holds promising potential for enhancing home security. This study aims to develop a more secure and regulated home entry system by leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Machine Learning computer Vision for facial recognition. The system integrates IoT devices, such as cameras and automatic doors, wherein facial image data is captured by the camera and processed using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to identify individuals. Once an individual is recognized, the system grants access to the home through an automated door. By relying on facial features, the system effectively restricts unauthorized access and safeguards homes against theft risks. Therefore, the advancement of a safer and more controlled home entry system utilizing IoT technology and Machine Learning computer Vision holds tremendous benefits for homeowners.
