Stress has a remarkable impact on various cognitive functions, demanding timely and effective detection using strategies deployed across interdisciplinary domains. It influences decision-making, attention, learning, and problem-solving abilities. As a result, stress detection and modeling have become important areas of study in both psychology and computer science. This study links the fields of psychology and machine learning to deal with the urgent requirement of accurate stress detection methodologies and highlights sleep patterns as a key indicator for stress detection, discussing a novel approach to understand and determine stress levels. Psychologists use affective states to measure stress, which refers to a sense of feeling an underlying emotional state. However, most stress classification work has been limited to user-dependent models, which new users cannot use without additional training. This can be a significant time burden for new users trying to predict their affective states. Therefore, it is critical to address basic mental health issues in children and adults to prevent them from developing more complex problems on account of undergoing stress. The medical field processes vast amounts of medical data;the machine learning algorithms sift through patterns that might escape the human eye. The machine learning algorithms act as detectives, able to spot correlations and bring out a sense of complex information. The machine learning algorithms reveal fine correlations and patterns, aiding in more precise and prompt diagnoses particularly to focus fundamental mental health issues in individuals of all ages. This research work deploys an enhanced Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), exhibiting an extensive feature analysis for processing medical datasets, resulting in improved effectiveness in predicting stress levels. The ethical issues raised by the privacy of bioinformatics data storage are the core of our investigation. The storage, use, and sharing of genomic data raises additional ethical concerns because it is a storehouse of unique and priceless information about a person's genetic composition. In view of the significant effects on autonomy and privacy, it is imperative that the ethical issues be considered and that strong legal and normative frameworks be established. The intrinsic sensitivity of genetic data gives rise to serious privacy and autonomy concerns, highlighting the pressing need to address ethical challenges in the field of genetics. Concerns about data security, permission, and privacy are brought up by the extremely sensitive nature of this information. Healthcare professionals and academics working in the field of genetics have to maintain a careful balance between promoting scientific understanding and upholding human autonomy. While data sharing and collaborative efforts are crucial to the advancement of genetic research, they also rely on strict ethical standards and legal protections to safeguard individuals' rights and privacy. The challenges of getting meaningful consent from data contributors are also covered in this work, particularly in view of the various applications and possible consequences of their data. In particular, when working with extremely private material like genetic data, it highlights how crucial it is to defend one's right to privacy and autonomy. The difficulties in obtaining contributors' informed consent are examined, and the significance of honest and open communication regarding data usage and sharing is emphasized. The fact that current data protection regulations match and highlight any inadequacies in relation to the preservation of bioinformatics data is an additional factor. Establishing ethical norms and legislative frameworks is necessary to handle the challenges associated with data privacy in business. © The Institut

Classifying the state of knowledge-based question answering: patterns, progress, and prospects

In response to inquiries posed in natural languages, question-answering systems (QASs) produce responses. The capabilities of early QASs are limited because they were designed for certain domains. The current generation of QASs focuses on the types of inquiries that users typically enquire, the features of the data sources that are used, and the formats in which the right responses are produced. Many QASs have been developed since the 1960s when research on the subject first started. There are several cutting-edge frameworks for answering questions that can be used to categorize the QA system according to a number of criteria. The necessity for an extensive survey on QASs comes naturally in order to determine the future focus of research in this field. In this study, QASs are analyzed by the number of criteria used to categorize question-answering (QA) and provide the dimension using a variety of standards to cover all the QAS. We describe the current state of research in each QAS area and make recommendations for its future direction. Based on the dimension criteria outlined in the research methodology, research studies are chosen for additional review and comparison. Constructed some criteria to classify the QASs, we provide the classification and go over the benefits and drawbacks of each class's QAS, as well as the problems with the corresponding study. Results are detailed summarized and compared. As a result of this study, a general architecture of frameworks for QA over knowledge base (KB) is drawn in addition to the comparative analysis of systems, serving as a reference for academics working on related topics. © 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

In India, Brinjal cultivation holds significant agricultural importance, yet plant leaf diseases pose a serious challenge to the sector. A timely and accurate prediction of these diseases could revolutionize early crop prevention and substantially mitigate economic losses. However, traditional methods of visually diagnosing plant diseases from leaf symptoms are increasingly prone to error, leading to ineffective treatments. As part of this study, a deep learning strategy is proposed to address this issue, leveraging Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) processing on a dataset of plant leaf images to identify Brinjal leaf diseases. This innovative approach promises to empower farmers with timely notifications, enabling prompt intervention to prevent the spread of disease over large areas and potentially increase crop yields. © 2024 IEEE.

Explaining the better generalization of label distribution learning for classification

Label distribution learning(LDL) has shown advantages over traditional single-label learning(SLL) in many realworld applications, but its superiority has not been theoretically understood. In this paper, we attempt to explain why LDL generalizes better than SLL. Label distribution has rich supervision information such that an LDL method can still choose the sub-optimal label from label distribution even if it neglects the optimal one. In comparison, an SLL method has no information to choose from when it fails to predict the optimal label. The better generalization of LDL can be credited to the rich information of label distribution. We further establish the label distribution margin theory to prove this explanation; inspired by the theory,we put forward a novel LDL approach called LDL-LDML. In the experiments, the LDL baselines outperform the SLL ones, and LDL-LDML achieves competitive performance against existing LDL methods, which support our explanation and theories in this paper.

This paper introduces an IIoT driven intelligent Security based robot "SENTINEL", leveraging an Arduino Uno, camera unit, ultrasonic sensor, motor controller, motors,The envisioned robot is engineered to autonomously survey a specified area, capturing images and videos with the camera unit. The ultrasonic sensor identifies obstacles to avert collisions, alerting the user. The robot maneuvers and alters its course through the motor controller and motors, managed by an Arduino Uno. This system finds utility in various domains, including surveillance and security, enhancing security-based system. It is economically developed, broadening its accessibility for future used. The system's deployment has undergone testing, demonstrating proficiency in recognizing and responding to environmental cues. A web- based interface facilitates remote control and monitoring by users. © 2024 IEEE.

People who lead hectic lives daily suffer from a variety of illnesses, including diabetes, high blood pressure, hypertension, etc. For someone to survive, they must become aware of these illnesses promptly. The Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing are the two critical prerequisites for digital healthcare. In the present research, the attacked data are detected and removed using the security module to enhance the security of the healthcare system. However, an accurate prediction mechanism is needed for the early diagnosis of the diseases. To predict the sickness and its severity more accurately, a unique Dragon Fly-based Generalised Approximate Reasoning Intelligence Control (DF-GARIC) is devised in this article. This system was primarily responsible for preprocessing the cloud medical records entered into the system. Additionally, the regression algorithm extracts the relevant features. Based on the retrieved features, the dragonfly function is used to classify the disease and estimate its severity. Subsequently, a warning is given to the providers for the abnormal condition via SMS or e-mail. Enhancing energy efficiency: a protocol assessment in multi-hop mesh-based IOUT networks

IOUT (Internet of Underwater Things) relies on underwater acoustic sensors, which have limited resources such as battery power and bandwidth. The exchange of data among these sensors faces challenges like propagation delay, node displacement, and environmental errors, making network maintenance difficult. The objective of this study is to address the energy efficiency and performance issues in IOUT networks by proposing and evaluating an energy-efficient routing protocol called Efficient Cost Wakeup Routing Protocol (ECWRP). To achieve the objective, the study focuses on two key parameters: Cost and Duty Cycle. The Duty Cycle parameter helps in reducing undesirable impacts during underwater communications, improving the performance of the routing protocol. The Cost parameter is utilized to select the most efficient path for data transmission, considering factors such as transmitting power levels. The protocol is applied to a multi-hop mesh-based network. The proposed ECWRP routing protocol is assessed through simulations, demonstrating its superior efficiency compared to the Ride algorithm. By eliminating unnecessary handshaking and optimizing route selection, ECWRP significantly enhances energy efficiency and overall performance within the IoUT network. The study's findings on the enhanced energy efficiency and performance improvements achieved by the ECWRP protocol hold promising implications for the design and optimization of IoUT networks, paving the way for more sustainable and effective communication systems in underwater environments. In conclusion, the study demonstrates the effectiveness of the Efficient Cost Wakeup Routing Protocol (ECWRP) in enhancing energy efficiency and performance in multi-hop mesh-based IoUT networks. The protocol's utilization of the Duty Cycle parameter reduces undesirable impacts, while the Cost parameter enables the selection of the most efficient path for data transmission.
