With the development and progress of electric power technology and information technology, microgrid has become an important and indispensable part of smart grid. The cyber-security of microgrids has a significant impact on the stability and security of smart grids. Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack as one of the common types of cyberattacks in microgrids has formed a considerable threat to the network security of microgrids. In a DDoS event, attackers first use malware to infect few nodes in the microgrid and the infected nodes can generate large-scale malware propagation in the system. These infection lays the foundation for the flood attacks. Therefore, this paper establishes a model to analyse the DDoS attack propagation in microgrid. Firstly, this paper establishs a dynamic model based on the epidemiological theory to describe the propagation dynamics of DDoS attack in microgrid. Then we go on to compute the attack threshold $(R_{0})$ of the model and prove the stability of equilibrium point. Finally we carry out the experimental simulation based on the model, and the experimental results show that the proposed model can reflect the propagation of DDoS attack in microgrid effectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Due to the increasing rate of high-impact low-frequency (HILF) events, power systems are more vulnerable against the destructive climate events compared to other infrastructures. From this point of view, the primary focus of this article is to investigate the vulnerability of power systems in the face of numerous types of natural disasters in terms of resilience metrics. To achieve this goal, a mesh-structured view of the power system at the transmission level is employed to model the action mechanism from different types of natural disasters on the power system. The Monte Carlo simulation method is further applied to evaluate the resilience metrics of the power system. From the perspective of resilience, the vulnerability of the system against different types of events is finally achieved in this paper. Simulation case studies on the IEEE 30-bus test system have demonstrated that the proposed modeling can not only facilitate in upgraded schemes, but also significantly decrease the amount of damages to the power system after natural extreme events. © 2022 IEEE.

Understanding pedestrian behaviour when crossing the road is an important key to the development of autonomous vehicles. Because pedestrians are considered Vul-nerable Road Users (VRUs), they are likely to be killed if they are involved in an accident. To ensure their safety, it is then necessary to predict the pedestrian's intention based on their behaviour. In this experiment, we propose head pose observation for predicting their intention, by observing pedestrians' head pose data, we can then predict their intention to cross the road. To achieve this purpose, we use human head detector and head pose extraction feature, and the resulting yaw, pitch and roll as three head pose features. To select the most optimal feature is important for predicting pedestrian intention, then we make 7 combination scenarios based on these three features and compare it with the same model. Based on this scenario, it is proved that all these three data are optimal to observe pedestrian intention. There are three behavioural annotation that have been used, there are crossing, not crossing and will crossing. We derive will crossing from the annotation looking and not crossing while waiting at the roadside. Prediction of pedestrian behaviour is done by using LSTM model, and the resulting precision on crossing and not crossing with 0.98, while will crossing is 0.94. © 2023 IEEE.

IEC 61499 is an executable, event-based language for control software that allows visual and textual implementation of individual software components (Function Blocks, FBs). The standardized visual service sequence model specifies the expected input/output behaviour of a component, thus supporting model-based testing. We present our approach for testing an FB on various platforms, which helps manage the variations in execution semantics between different vendors. First, service sequences are generated manually or derived from an existing (partial) implementation. Then, these service sequences serve as unit tests for this implementation. Finally, we create a test application that is executable on any IEC 61499-compliant platform. Executing tests directly in the target platform helps validate the correct functionality of an FB before deploying the control software to a cyber-physical system. © 2023 IEEE.

Telecommunication technology is rapidly evolving, accompanied by an increase in service requirements such as higher bandwidth and service accessibility. Transferring data at high speeds and the system performance are second to none. DWDM (Dence Wavelength Division Multiplexing) can be used to meet these requirements, but it is not the only option. Long-distance transmission using DWDM systems often experiences signal degradation, which can degrade the system performance. An EDFA (Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier) can be used to overcome signal degradation. OptiSystem 18.0 is the DWDM link model used in this study, with a DWDM design that uses 48 channels at an average bit rate per channel of 40 Gbps. A channel spacing of 200 GHz was used. At a 50-km SMF (single-mode fiber) length, the system quality increased in terms of power and frequency spacing. With the EDFA amplifier, the linkage is 180 km long, 240 km long, and 300 km long. Changes in laser power of 10 dB were used in the study. According to the results of the analysis, power changes affect the performance of the system. DWDM with a laser power of 10 dB complies with the values of the standards for the Q factor (Quality Factor) and the BER Min Bit Error Rate parameters. The highest Q factor at a distance of 180 km is 47.008 and BER is 0 with a wavelength of 1498.213nm. The highest Q factor at a distance of 240 km is 28.19 and BER is 3.32092 ∗ 10-175 and the wavelength is 1554.134nm. The highest Q factor at a distance of 300 km is 24.9, with BER equal to 3.66154 ∗ 10-138, and the wavelength being 1565.495nm. According to this study, the higher the laser power used, the better the performance of the system. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper introduces a new approach to emotion classification utilising deep learning models, specifically the Vision Transformer (ViT) model, in the analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. A dual-feature extraction approach was implemented in our study, utilising Power Spectral Density and Differential Entropy, to analyse the SEED IV dataset. This methodology resulted in the detailed classification of four distinct emotional states. The ViT model, which was originally designed for image processing, has been successfully applied to EEG signal analysis. It demonstrated remarkable performance by attaining a test accuracy of 99.02% with little variance. Notably, it outperformed conventional models like GRUs, LSTMs, and CNNs in this context. The findings of our study indicate that the ViT model has a high level of effectiveness in accurately identifying complex patterns present in EEG data. Specifically, the precision and recall rates achieved by the model surpass 98%, while the F1 score is estimated to be about 98.9%. The results of this study not only demonstrate the efficacy of transformer-based models in analysing cognitive states, but also indicate their considerable potential in improving systems for sympathetic human-computer interaction. © 2023 Owner/Author.

Due to the excellent interpretability and classification performance, the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy classifier (TSK-FC) has drawn great attention. However, different patterns own their respective homogeneities, and the samples from different groups present explicitly or implicitly homogenous styles, which are significantly different from the assumption that all samples from different groups are identically and independently distributed (i.i.d.). In this paper, a style-constrained Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy classifier called SC-TSK-FC is proposed by breaking the i.i.d. assumption. To explore the styles of data, a series of style matrices are embedded into the objective function of the TSK-FC. Besides, with the introduction of the regularization term corresponding to each style matrix, the nuances between different styles of data can be captured, which can help improve the classification performance of SC-TSK-FC. Particularly, five fixed fuzzy partitions with interpretable linguistic terms are adopted to along each input feature, and SC-TSK-FC outperforms TSKFC by using less fuzzy rules. These guarantee the interpretability of SC-TSK-FC. Experimental results on some benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed SC-TSK-FC. © 2023 IEEE.

Aerial intelligent reflecting surface (AIRS), integrating unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with IRS, has emerged as a promising paradigm to improve the transmission quality and security in emergency communication, space-air-ground-integrated network and mobile edge computing, etc. However, the size of a single AIRS is constrained by the limited energy and payload capacity of the UAV, as well as the path loss of the air-to-ground reflective link, which makes the gain from a single AIRS finite. To address these problems, we propose a hybrid aerial IRS-assisted cooperative secure transmission system, where an aerial active IRS and an aerial simultaneously transmitting and reflecting IRS (STAR-IRS) are employed to achieve reflection amplification and 360-degree ubiquitous coverage, respectively. Additionally, the cooperative beamforming gain generated by the secondary reflection between the hybrid AIRSs can further improve communication quality. Specifically, an optimization problem is proposed with the objective of maximizing the sum secrecy rate by jointly optimizing the transmitting beamforming and the reflection coefficients of each AIRS. We first reformulated the original non-convex problem by fractional programming method, and a three-layer alternating optimization algorithm is introduced to address the proposed problem with the successive convex approximation (SCA) as well as penalty convex-concave procedure (PCCP) techniques. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to demonstrate that the proposed scheme substantially improves the sum secrecy rate compared to other baseline schemes. © 2024 IEEE.
