As the power system continues to develop, the application of augmented reality (AR) and 3D reconstruction technologies in power scenarios is becoming increasingly widespread. This paper proposes the integration of these two technologies for the detection, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of power equipment. Through real-time video segmentation and detection operations, AR technology can overlay key information onto the field view, helping engineers quickly identify equipment status and potential issues. Simultaneously, 3D reconstruction technology can generate precise models of power equipment and environments, providing comprehensive visual references and analytical tools that enhance maintenance efficiency and safety. The combined application of these technologies can significantly reduce the risks and costs associated with manual operations. © 2024 IEEE.

As an important part of battery health management, accurate prediction on remaining useful life of lithium-ion battery can maintain and replace the batteries in advance to guarantee the safety and stability of the energy storage system. Most extant models use a single model throughout the entire stage for prediction, which may lead to the decrease of the accuracy for subsequent prediction due to insufficient learning, as well as disability to predict battery remaining useful life with data from other batteries. To solve these issues, a segmented prediction model of lithium-ion battery remaining useful life is proposed. In this method, the knee point of the capacity decline curve is detected and then long short-Term memory and support vector regression models are used to predict the remaining useful life before and after the knee point, respectively. The experimental prediction results represent that the proposed method achieves higher prediction accuracy compared with long short-Term memory method. © 2023 IEEE.

It is essential to achieve stable and high bandwidth communication in order to develop and evolve a variety of platforms, including ERP, video conferencing, VoIP, digital mobile radio, and automation of electric power distribution networks. There are several challenges involved in the implementation of these networks, including the large area of the Khorasan Razavi province (118000 km 2 ) and 31 offices spread across a large geographical area. In this paper, the novel experience of designing and implementing a radio link network that integrates fiber optics is presented in detail. In both IT and OT networks, this infrastructure network provides excellent technical capabilities. By using the proposed plan, 31 offices and 12 sites will be connected to a high-bandwidth, low-jitter, and low-delay network of about 65 Mbps, 30 ms, and 45 ms respectively, which is 2.5 times better than the company's 2020 network. Moreover, the details of the design, simulation, and implementation of the sites, including the equipment list, are being presented for the first time. Other companies could benefit from this. Software packages PathLoss 5.0 and OPNET 14.5 were used for the design and simulation.

The voltage regulation and power sharing for parallel direct current–direct current (DC–DC) buck converters is studied in this paper by using the multi-agent consensus theory. At the first step, the control problem of parallel DC–DC buck converters is modeled as the consensus problem of multi-agent system. Different from the most existing algorithms for parallel DC–DC buck converters, a new distributed cooperative control algorithm is proposed to implement plug-and-play and to enhance the system's flexibility. For the current-loop, a finite-time control algorithm is employed to improve the dynamic response for the current tracking. The rigors stability analysis is given and the simulation result is presented. © 2021 Chinese Automatic Control Society and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd.

Modern agriculture relies heavily on effective process monitoring, control, and remote data collection, making accurate and cost-effective sensors crucial for innovation. This research focuses on the development of a spectroscopy-based device for real-time and remote monitoring of nutrient levels in hydroponic systems. The device utilizes IoT architecture, incorporating principles of light absorbance to quantify concentrations of essential nutrients during crop growth. Three deep learning techniques, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) were adopted for data analysis. Results demonstrate that tailored implementation of deep learning can significantly enhance the performance of sensor network system (SNS). Specifically, the RNN format achieved an impressive 98% model accuracy during both training and testing phases. The technological advancements in addressing contract variation and photometric levels contribute to increased accuracy as more sensors become available. The findings serve as a comprehensive guide for collecting extensive agricultural data, encompassing environmental factors throughout the entire cultivation period, using state-of-the-art remote control sensor equipment. This work provides a practical, efficient, and cost-effective solution for precise nutrient control and continuous data monitoring in agricultural production.

Approximate Linear Programming for Decentralized Policy Iteration in Cooperative Multi-agent Markov Decision Processes

In this work, we consider a ‘cooperative’ multi-agent Markov decision process (MDP) involving m(> 1) agents. At each decision epoch, all the m agents independently select actions in order to maximize a common long-term objective. In the policy iteration process of multi-agent setup, the number of actions grows exponentially with the number of agents, incurring huge computational costs. Thus, recent works consider decentralized policy improvement, where each agent improves its decisions unilaterally, assuming that the decisions of the other agents are fixed. However, exact value functions are considered in the literature, which is computationally expensive for a large number of agents with high dimensional state-action space. Thus, we propose approximate decentralized policy iteration algorithms, using approximate linear programming with function approximation to compute the approximate value function for decentralized policy improvement. Further, we consider (both) cooperative multi-agent finite and infinite horizon discounted MDPs and propose suitable algorithms in each case. Moreover, we provide theoretical guarantees for our algorithms and also demonstrate their advantages over existing state-of-the-art algorithms in the literature. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Using deep learning models on spatial transcriptomics data to identify the spatial domain is crucial for uncovering the spatial distribution of cells and gene expression patterns within tissues, essential for understanding complex biological processes and disease mechanisms. Existing methods for spatial domain partitioning often rely on predefined adjacency relationships at a single scale, overlooking the hierarchical structure and functional characteristics of biological tissues. In this paper, we propose SpaNFM, a novel method that leverages sparse attention-based hierarchical node representation and multi-view contrastive learning for spatial domain identification in spatial transcriptomics data. The SpaNFM first treats each spot as a node and constructs two views using different data augmentation techniques based on tissue image information, gene expression profiles, and spatial coordinates of cells. Subsequently, SpaNFM utilizes a sparse attention-based hierarchical node fusion module to generate coarse-grained node representations. This fine-to-coarse hierarchical structure integrates complementary information from multi-granularity node features and reduces model complexity due to the decreased node size. The model parameters are updated using gene expression reconstruction loss and contrastive loss on the coarse-grained node representations from the two views. Finally, the learned node features are subjected to downstream clustering using the Leiden algorithm. We tested SpaNFM on the human dorsolateral prefrontal cortex dataset. The results demonstrate that SpaNFM outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in most cases. The data and code are available at: https://***/weiba/SpaNFM © 2024 IEEE.

Power transmission lines are often subjected to wind-induced vibrations (also known as transmission line galloping). To alleviate this problem, quantitative transmission line galloping measurement is necessary. While it is costly and dangerous to install various types of sensors, it is more efficient to use contactless measurement methods (e.g. camera surveillance). In this paper, we propose a novel transmission line galloping measurement method using video analysis technique by spacer matching. First, we determine the spacers by template matching. Then we used matched spacers for the reconstruction of the movement of spacers. We also explore the intra-relationships of the movements of different spacers for accurate measurement. Finally, we synchronize the spacers of the whole line to simulate the galloping of transmission lines. Experiments on several transmission line galloping videos demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents some results and analysis from the exploitation of a grid-connected PV installation with battery storage, operated in a residential building. The installation is made of a 4810 Wp photovoltaic system, an inverter and a 12 kWh Li-Ion battery storage. Furthermore, a battery management system (BMS) is used to provide passive balancing of the cells, as well as for monitoring different energy parameters of the system. The inverter determines the operation mode of the system as either bypass or battery mode, depending on the available and consumed power. The study also presents some results for typical sunny and cloudy days and analyzes the system's exploitation efficiency. © 2022 IEEE.
