This paper addresses the use of Layered Division Multiplexing (LDM) as a method to deliver multiple services in 5G New Radio (NR). LDM is a technique that allows multiple services to be delivered over the same time-frequency resource by allocating transmission power between different layers. A two-layered LDM system can be implemented in 5G NR to deliver both Single Frequency Network (SFN) broadcast service and broadband service over a single time-frequency resource. The integration of 5G beamforming into LDM allows for the creation of sufficiently wide beams for SFN broadcast service and narrow beams for broadband service. Theoretical analysis and link level simulation demonstrate that this approach can provide both services with more spectral efficiency and energy saving. © 2023 IEEE.

mmWave massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems with large-scale antenna array have potential to increase the spectral efficiency by orders of magnitude. One well-known drawback of this systems is that the power consumption of base station (BS) is considerable. To improve the energy efficiency and throughput, it is crucial that the BS acquires accurate downlink channel state information (CSI). However, this task is difficult since the CSI feedback overhead scales linearly with the number of antennas. In this paper, we propose an approach to maximize the energy efficiency of mmWave massive MIMO systems using a sparse channel feedback. Key idea of the proposed scheme is to choose a small number paths among the whole propagation paths in the angular domain channel and then exploit the channel information of chosen paths in the data precoding. From the performance analysis and the numerical results, we demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves considerable energy efficiency improvement and feedback overhead reduction over the conventional CSI feedback-based schemes. © 2023 IEEE.

In the realm of Internet of Vehicles (IoV), Roadside Units (RSUs) play a vital role due to their advanced sensing and computing capabilities. They support Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) by enabling real-time data processing and reducing latency and energy consumption. Given the large volume of data and the limited computing capacity of RSUs, tasks are often offloaded to other nodes, such as the cloud, other RSUs, or vehicles. However, due to the environment dynamic caused by vehicle mobility, the set of neighboring nodes for each RSU frequently changes, and variations in neighboring nodes are not perceived timely. In such cases, RSUs need to predict changes in neighboring nodes to ensure effective task offloading. Moreover, since each RSU can only perceive the surrounding environment, it is difficult for a single node to make optimal offloading decisions for each task independently. To address these issues, this paper proposes a distributed task offloading scheme that incorporates vehicle trajectory prediction. First, each RSU uses the vehicle trajectories predicted by the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) model to determine neighboring vehicles and update the set of neighboring nodes. Then, to enable each RSU to select a suitable computing node and minimize computation delay and energy consumption for the task, we adopt a distributed approach where each RSU independently makes offloading decisions based on local observations. To achieve this goal, we establish a 01 mathematical model and transform it into a Markov Decision Process (MDP). Subsequently, we propose a solution based on Multi-Agent Proximal Policy Optimization (MAPPO). Through extensive simulation experiments, we demonstrate that the scheme effectively reduces both long-term average processing delay and energy consumption. © 2024 IEEE.

In other instances, the cloud transfers payment information directly to the merchant’s server without first doing any fraud checks. Block authentication between the cloud and a healthcare merchant server is the goal of this study, which is designed to prevent the deployment of fraudulent servers. Smart contract verification on the blockchain will be used to this end. The cloud assault must be prevented from accessing personal payment and card information. It is via the employment of cryptography methods that this concept of privacy reservation is made possible. The Boolean crossover depth first search (DFS) technique is used to encrypt data in the payment gateway protocol at its inception. When the hospital administrator solicits card data from patients or users, our innovative approach swiftly initiates data encryption using the DFS technique. This method meticulously traverses the data structure in a depth-first manner, employing Boolean operations to systematically encrypt sensitive information. Through this process, the patient's payment and card data undergo secure transformation, rendering it unreadable to unauthorized entities. Additionally, an authentication key is generated concurrently with the encryption process, enabling verification between the system and the user before any data transmission occurs. The integration of the DFS technique serves as a fundamental layer of defense against potential cloud-based attacks. Its application ensures the utmost protection of personal payment and card details throughout the transaction process, bolstering the security infrastructure of our proposed system. A comprehensive analysis comparing our approach with existing methods showcases the efficiency and reliability of our proposed system in terms of Execution Time (ms), Encryption Time (ms), Decryption Time (ms), and Memory (bits). Roadside units (RSUs) with strong sensing abilities enhance the feasibility of the RSU-to-Everything (R2X) paradigm, providing crucial infrastructure support for mobile edge computing and reducing data processing latency. Due to the limited computing capacity of RSUs, it is beneficial to offload tasks to other RSUs, vehicles, and cloud servers for processing, allowing for the efficient utilization of computational resources. To leverage the abundant idle vehicle resources on the road, tasks can be offloaded to vehicles outside the coverage area of the RSUs through multi-hop transmission. Due to the high mobility of vehicles, there is a risk of communication link disconnection during task transmission, which poses a challenge to the reliable transmission of tasks. In this paper, we ensure the communication link quality among nodes based on the established vehicle mobility model, and design a mechanism for selecting forwarding vehicles. The goal is to find the path with the highest reliability between vehicles and the source RSU. To encourage nodes to participate in multi-hop transmission, a certain relay cost and computational cost are paid to the computing nodes. We establish a joint optimization model focusing on task delay and task cost. To achieve this, we develop a 0-1 mathematical model and then transform it into a Markov Decision Process (MDP). Building on this foundation, we propose a solution based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL). Experimental results demonstrate that this method significantly reduces task delay and task cost. © 2024 IEEE.

Most children and elderly people worldwide die from pneumonia,which is a contagious illness that causes lung *** diagnosing pneumonia from chest X-ray images,many deep learning models have been put *** goal of this research is to develop an effective and strong approach for detecting and categorizing pneumonia *** varying the deep learning approach,three pre-trained models,GoogLeNet,ResNet18,and DenseNet121,are employed in this research to extract the main features of pneumonia and normal *** addition,the binary dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm is utilized to select the most significant features,which are then fed to the K-nearest neighbor(KNN)classifier for getting the final classification *** guarantee the best performance of KNN,its main parameter(K)is optimized using the continuous DTO *** test the proposed approach,six evaluation metrics were employed namely,positive and negative predictive values,accuracy,specificity,sensitivity,and ***,the proposed approach is compared with other traditional approaches,and the findings confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in terms of all the evaluation *** minimum accuracy achieved by the proposed approach is(98.5%),and the maximum accuracy is(99.8%)when different test cases are included in the evaluation experiments.

In this paper, we propose a new type of deep learning (DL)-based localization for the urban NLoS scenarios, termed Intelligent Localization via Spatial Information Embedding (I-LOSIE). In I-LOSIE, we train the deep neural network (DNN) to identify the location of the wireless device by using the combination of the uplink measurements and the position and size of the obstacles (we call these spatial information). From the extensive numerical evaluations, we show that the proposed I-LOSIE achieves the high-resolution localization in the wireless environments with high density of obstacles.. © 2023 IEEE.
