This paper proposes a novel strategy to address the difficulties encountered in Botswana's open-pit mine dewatering procedures. The conventional approach, which relies on labor-intensive manual labor and mechanical switching, is expensive, time-consuming, and present significant safety hazards. To overcome these limitations, this project proposes a multi-sensor network system that automates and optimizes the dewatering process and improve operational efficiency. The system integrates real-time sensor data to monitor fuel consumption and water levels in mining pits, enabling precise pump operation control. The system has two sets of sensors for data collection on fuel levels in the reserve and dewatering pump tank. Water level sensors are also used to monitor the water levels in the tank and turn the pump on or off based on predetermined thresholds. After receiving the sensor data, a microcontroller controls the entire process and shows the fuel levels and consumption on an LCD screen. The system's circuitry was designed and simulated using Proteus software, and the LCD successfully displayed measurements obtained from the sensors. When the sump level surpassed the predetermined threshold, a relay was energized to initiate the motor, thereby pumping out the water. Similarly, the tank level sensor (LV800) detected water levels exceeding 80% capacity, sending a signal to the microcontroller, which, in turn, energized the relay to activate the stage motor. The LCD also displayed readings from the temperature and current sensors. Simulation results indicate that the proposed sensor-based approach effectively monitors the condition of the pumps. At the same time, the microcontroller, in conjunction with the sensors, can adequately control the pump's operation during the dewatering process in the mining pit. This paper proposes an integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) waveform design using the Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). The correlation property of the ZC sequence is utilized to achieve the target range (root mean square error (RMSE) can reach approximately 0.3m) and velocity (RMSE can reach approximately 0.2m/s) detection. This proposal also implements a fixed-angle beam-scanning method to obtain the targets' 3D positions. This scheme is simulated with different bands and numerologies to verify its versatility. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper presents a study of the segmentation of medical *** paper provides a solid introduction to image enhancement along with image segmentation *** the first step,the morphological operations are employed to ensure image detail protection and *** objective of using morphological operations is to remove the defects in the texture of the ***,the Fuzzy C-Means(FCM)clustering algorithm is used to modify membership function based only on the spatial neighbors instead of the distance between pixels within local spatial neighbors and cluster *** proposed technique is very simple to implement and significantly fast since it is not necessary to compute the distance between the neighboring pixels and the cluster *** is also efficient when dealing with noisy images because of its ability to efficiently improve the membership partition *** results are performed on different medical image ***(Us),X-ray(Mammogram),Computed Tomography(CT),Positron Emission Tomography(PET),and Magnetic Resonance(MR)images are the main medical image modalities used in this *** obtained results illustrate that the proposed technique can achieve good results with a short time and efficient image *** results on different image modalities show that the proposed technique can achieve segmentation accuracies of 98.83%,99.71%,99.83%,99.85%,and 99.74%for Us,Mammogram,CT,PET,and MRI images,respectively.

Blockchain-based decentralized applications (DApps) offer enhanced security and decentralization features;nevertheless, their maintenance demands substantial computational resources and poses challenges for deployment in mobile networks. To address this, a number of studies have explored offloading blockchain mining tasks from mobile users to mobile edge computing (MEC) servers. However, the existing literature overlooks the fact that MEC servers can not only mine for mobile users but also mine for themselves, potentially explaining why MEC mining offloading has not gained broad acceptance within the industry. In this work, we exploit a more practical case and rethink the question of whether MEC servers lease computing power to mobile users by taking into account that MEC servers can mine for themselves. We establish a game model and apply backward induction to analytically characterize Nash equilibria for mining strategies adopted by MEC and mobile users. Our findings suggest that, if MEC can mine for self, MEC would mine for mobile users only under specific conditions where mobile users possess superior information gathering capability (at least better than the MEC server) or the whole blockchain system exhibits significant network value. We further provide a series of simulations to verify our conclusion and illustrate the impact of network parameters on the strategies of both sides. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

Nowadays, large amounts of unstructured data are currently trending on social media and the Web. Text summarising is the process of extracting pertinent information in a concise manner without altering the content's core meaning. Summarising text by hand requires a lot of time, money, and effort. Although deep learning algorithms are commonly applied in abstractive text summarization, further research is clearly needed to fully understand their conjunction with semantic-based or structure-based approaches. The resume dataset is taken for this research work, which is gathered from Kaggle and the dataset includes 1,735 Resumes. This paper presents a unique framework based on the combination of semantic data transformations and deep learning approaches for improving abstractive text summarization. In an attempt to tackle the problem of unregistered words, a solution called Decoder Attention with Pointer Network (DA-PN) has been introduced. This method incorporates the use of a coverage mechanism to prevent word repetition in the generated text summaries. DA-PN is utilized for protecting the spread of increasing errors in generated text summaries. The performance of the proposed method is estimated using the evaluation indicator Recall Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation (ROUGE) and attains an average of 26.28 which is comparatively higher than existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Biometric authentication systems have become increasingly popular due to their convenience and perceived security benefits. However, traditional biometric modalities such as fingerprint recognition are vulnerable to spoofing attacks, where fake fingerprints can be used to deceive the system. In this paper, we propose PulsePrint, a novel biometric authentication solution that enhances security by incorporating real-time pulse detection alongside fingerprint recognition. By leveraging the unique pulsatile nature of blood flow in the fingertip, PulsePrint adds an additional layer of authentication, making it significantly more difficult for attackers to spoof fingerprints. We present the design and implementation of the PulsePrint system, detailing the integration of pulse detection algorithms with existing fingerprint recognition technologies. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance of PulsePrint through extensive experimentation, including testing against various spoofing techniques and benchmarking against conventional fingerprint recognition systems. Our results demonstrate that PulsePrint offers robust protection against fingerprint spoofing attacks while maintaining user convenience and real-time authentication speed. Overall, PulsePrint represents a promising advancement in biometric security, offering enhanced protection for applications requiring reliable and secure authentication. © 2024 IEEE.

Automatic Speaker Identification (ASI) is so crucial for security. Current ASI systems perform well in quiet and clean surroundings. However, in noisy situations, the robustness of an ASI system against additive noise and interference is a crucial factor. An investigation of the impact of interference on ASI system performance is presented in this paper, which introduces algorithms for achieving high ASI system performance. The objective is to resist the interference of various forms. This paper presents two models for the ASI task in the presence of interference. The first one depends on Normalized Pitch Frequency (NPF) and Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) as extracted features and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) as a classifier. In this model, we investigate the utilization of a Discrete Transform (DT), such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Sine Transform (DST), to increase the robustness of extracted features against different types of degradation through exploiting the sub-band decomposition characteristics of DWT and the energy compaction property of DCT and DST. This is achieved by extracting features directly from contaminated speech signals in addition to features extracted from discrete transformed signals to create hybrid feature vectors. The enhancement techniques, such as Spectral Subtraction (SS), Winer Filter, and adaptive Wiener filter, are used in a preprocessing stage to eliminate the effect of the interference on the ASI system. In the second model, we investigate the utilization of Deep Learning (DL) based on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with speech signal spectrograms and their Radon transforms to increase the robustness of the ASI system against interference effects. The rapid population growth results in a crucial problem in the early detection of diseases inmedical *** all the cancers unveiled,breast cancer is considered the second most severe ***,an exponential rising in death cases incurred by breast cancer is expected due to the rapid population growth and the lack of resources required for performing medical *** recent advances in machine learning could help medical staff in diagnosing diseases as they offer effective,reliable,and rapid responses,which could help in decreasing the death *** this paper,we propose a new algorithm for feature selection based on a hybrid between powerful and recently emerged optimizers,namely,guided whale and dipper throated *** proposed algorithm is evaluated using four publicly available breast cancer *** evaluation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach from the accuracy and speed *** prove the superiority of the proposed algorithm,a set of competing feature selection algorithms were incorporated into the conducted *** addition,a group of statistical analysis experiments was conducted to emphasize the superiority and stability of the proposed *** best-achieved breast cancer prediction average accuracy based on the proposed algorithm is 99.453%.This result is achieved in an average time of 3.6725 s,the best result among all the competing approaches utilized in the experiments.

The problem of image denoising plays an important role in the field of image processing due to the noise foundation in any life medium that will causing image corruption, the goal of the paper is to present a new proposed thresholding technique for image denoising. The aim of the work is to evaluate the new proposed thresholding method and make a comparison with other denoising methods in the recent literatures using some common performance measure. A wavelet based denoising algorithm is proposed to improve the image quality;different methods are listed for comparative study and evaluation. The procedure for wavelet based denoising method is to calculate the wavelet transformation for the noisy image, then thresholding the coefficients in the wavelet domain with new proposed thresholding and proper selected threshold other parameters. The evaluation process involved of suing PSNR as a performance metric among various introduced denoising methods. The proposed thresholding method has been implemented using Matlab simulation program for denoising image and improves its quality. The obtained results have confirmed the proposed thresholding method operability and permit for recommending the new proposed method for solving the problem of noisy image by improving its quality though the proposed method. The prospects for further research can involve the investigation for proposed method operability with signal and image applications and other life and practical problems. © 2022 Copyright for this paper by its authors.
