E-commerce is a common platform for trading in this era and used online platform where buyer and seller have met the transaction. Usability is the process of optimizing the interaction between the user and the system, which can be done interactively, so that the user gets the correct information or better performs a function in the application. This research aims to analyze how is the usability of e-commerce platform in Indonesia, the most favorite and bigger platform selected for the case study. The comparison of e-commerce usability by distributes an online questionnaire to the user with more than 200 respondents in order to obtain data. The questionnaire was distributed using the likers and comment scale method, namely respondents were asked to complete a questionnaire that required them to indicate their level of agreement with a series of statements. The researcher analyzed and graphed the results obtained from the questionnaire data and tested whether the data was valid or not using the Python programming language, as well as recapitulating the data using Microsoft Excel. Then there are problems in this research, namely what applications provide more convenience to users, what applications are more efficient, and what applications provide better satisfaction to their users. In this work of the level of usability, take case on Tokopedia, Bukalapak and Shopee e-commerce platforms. Results show these three companies of e-commerce platform and the calculations achieve that the usability of application is in higher out of all attributes is Shopee which reaches up to 80% compare to others e-commerce. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

An effective conversion of recognised phonemes to words has a significant impact on the overall performance of an automatic lip-reading system. In this paper, transformer-based models have been examined for phoneme-to-text translation. The benchmark BBC Lip-reading Sentence 2 (LRS2) data is used in this study, and the T5 model (Text-To-Text Transfer Transformer) and the GPT-2 model are considered the conversion models. A detailed discussion is provided on the analysis procedure, data pre-processing, model implementation, and the metrics employed for model evaluation. The experimental results have demonstrated that the T5 model can achieve a substantial improvement over the GPT-2 model with a superior accuracy and fluency in the phoneme-to-text translation, offering a potentially promising solution for enhancing the precision of automatic translation and speech processing systems. This work contributes to the development of more robust applications in the field of speech recognition and communication technologies. © 2024 IEEE.

A Comparative Study of Physics-Informed and Conventional Neural Networks for Predicting On-Screen Gaze Points from Eye-Tracking Data

Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) take advantage of physical constraints to improve the predictive performance of neural networks. They have demonstrated remarkable success in physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine, sparking interest in their potential applications in other fields, such as Human-computer Interaction (HCI). Despite their versatility, PINNs are underutilized in certain disciplines due to the challenge of defining Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) that adequately constrain specific problems. This study investigates the application of PINNs to predict fixations captured by an eye-tracking device, employing equations that model head and eye movements. The data for this study were collected during an experiment involving an adaptive user interface for pilots, encompassing a variety of fixation points and rapid glances. The results establish PINNs as a superior method, achieving a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.61 for horizontal predictions (X) and 0.35 for vertical predictions (Y), significantly outperforming the conventional neural network (NN). Additionally, the PINN demonstrated stronger predictive accuracy for vertical gaze dynamics, as evidenced by an [[EQUATION]] of 0.91 compared to 0.85 for the NN. These findings underscore the robustness of the PINN approach in modeling gaze points with enhanced precision and reliability. While conventional neural networks perform adequately, the added benefit of physical constraints in PINNs encourages further exploration of their application in non-natural science domains. These promising results point toward the potential of PINNs in creating more adaptive and context-aware systems for various HCI applications. © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This article is dedicated to research on the problems of quality control of rotation of industrial rollers using radar equipment. The radar signals reflected from roller are analyzed using short-time Fourier transform and classified using linear discriminant analysis technique. To evaluate the proposed approach an testbed has been implemented. To obtain a dataset a set of radar signals has been recorded. The results of experiments shown that the accuracy of the proposed approach of detecting roller condition is reach 98%. © 2024 IEEE.

In ornamental fish cultivation, water conditions are one of parameters to control the water quality. Water quality is closely related to fish habitat in ponds or aquariums. Water is a medium that must be considered because it supports the process of developing a successful fish culture. Because of the importance of monitoring water conditions for fish, some tools are needed to observe it in real-time. Therefore, pH level, oxygen, temperature and water transparency provide real-time notification of required time conditions. With the esp8266 microchip and built-in TCP/IP network software on NodeMCU has the ability to transmit data via Wi-fi, this data will be sent via the Telegram bot and the information of the state of the water, whether the pH is too low, the water is cloudy, and the water temperature. With some experimental test has some results about the accuracy level obtained on the pH sensor reaches the accuracy obtained is 99.19%. on the TDS sensor up to 96.7%, the accuracy on the DS18B20 sensor is up to 96.9% and the last sensor is turbidity which has an accuracy of 49.73% so that this model can classify the water condition whether it is suitable for use for ornamental fish growth. © 2022 IEEE.

One of the diseases still suffered by many Indonesian people, especially in the city of Depok, is respiratory disease. Currently, respiratory tract disease is a case with a high number of sufferers. An effort to handle these cases is to provide counseling and education for the community. This education aims to enable people to apply a healthy lifestyle independently and prevent various types of diseases. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this role was somewhat difficult to carry out due to limited movement and space. As a solution to this problem, the part of information technology is crucial. One is utilizing multimedia technology as a medium for health education for the community, namely animation. Animation can describe and visualize something so that information can be presented clearly and visually. This study aims to develop animation as a medium of health education for the community, especially in respiratory health. The animation video was generated using the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method. The resulting animated video can inform the public about health that focuses on the health of the respiratory system. 85 % of users stated that this animated video helps them to understand the material presented. © 2022 IEEE.

Despite the planned installation and operations of the traditional IEEE 802.11 networks,they still experience degraded performance due to the number of *** of the main reasons is the received signal strength indicator(RSSI)association problem,in which the user remains connected to the access point(AP)unless the RSSI becomes too *** this paper,we propose a multi-criterion association(WiMA)scheme based on software defined networking(SDN)in Wi-Fi *** association solution based on multi-criterion such as AP load,RSSI,and channel occupancy is proposed to satisfy the quality of service(QoS).SDNhaving an overall view of the network takes the association and reassociation decisions making the handoffs smooth in throughput *** implementWiMA extensive simulations runs are carried out on Mininet-NS3-Wi-Fi network *** performance evaluation shows that the WiMA significantly reduces the average number of retransmissions by 5%–30%and enhances the throughput by 20%–50%,hence maintaining user fairness and accommodating more wireless devices and traffic load in the network,when compared to traditional client-driven(CD)approach and state of the art Wi-Balance approach.

Patients in healthcare facilities such as hospitals and clinics need to monitor continuously time to achieve the latest status and be aware in case of an emergency needed. Several monitoring systems implemented but has some limitation and are not in real-time as well as single parameter. This research aims to design and develop a heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure detection device based on the Internet of Things (IoT) for monitoring patient health conditions in healthcare facilities. The designed device is equipped with sensors that can accurately read heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure, as well as a system that is connected to the internet network so that the data generated can be accessed and analyzed in real time. The detection device has been tested using several patients with different health conditions. The results of the work show that the designed detection device can accurately read heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure and can send data to a cloud server via the internet connection. The data generated by this detection device can be accessed by medical personnel or patients themselves. The results show all the patient parameters able to monitor remotely with an accuracy of up to 99%. It is hoped that the designed detection device can help medical personnel monitor patients’ health conditions more effectively and efficiently, as well as facilitate patients in monitoring their health. In addition, the IoT technology used in this device can open up opportunities for the development of more sophisticated and innovative health devices in the future. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In the dynamic landscape of energy efficiency, a domain garnering ever increasing attention and urgency, the cornerstone of informed decision-making resides in the acquisition of reliable data. This paper summarizes the main approaches, methods and hardware used to gather, process and disaggregate such data on an appliance-by-appliance basis. The paper explores a critical analysis of the various models and techniques that support the gathering of energy data at the appliance level. A range of approaches, including hardware-based solutions such as smart meters, submeters, and sensor arrays, placing a special focus on intrusive load monitoring (ILM) and non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) algorithms that employ advanced signal processing and machine learning techniques, are examined for their effectiveness, scalability, and suitability for both industrial and commercial contexts. Furthermore, the challenges of data acquisition capabilities, reconciling scalability, cost-effectiveness, and user-friendliness - prerequisites for widespread acceptance and uptake are also investigated. © 2024 IEEE.

Cyberbullying is a form of harassment or bullying that takes place online or through digital devices like smartphones,computers,or *** can occur through various channels,such as social media,text messages,online forums,or gaming *** involves using technology to intentionally harm,harass,or intimidate others and may take different forms,including exclusion,doxing,impersonation,harassment,and ***,due to the rapid growth of malicious internet users,this social phenomenon is becoming more frequent,and there is a huge need to address this ***,the main goal of the research proposed in this manuscript is to tackle this emerging challenge.A dataset of sexist harassment on Twitter,containing tweets about the harassment of people on a sexual basis,for natural language processing(NLP),is used for this *** algorithms are used to transform the text into a meaningful representation of numbers for machine learning(ML)input:Term frequency inverse document frequency(TF-IDF)and Bidirectional encoder representations from transformers(BERT).The well-known eXtreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)ML model is employed to classify whether certain tweets fall into the category of sexual-based harassment or ***,with the goal of reaching better performance,several XGBoost models were devised conducting hyperparameter tuning by *** this purpose,the recently emerging Coyote optimization algorithm(COA)was modified and adjusted to optimize the XGBoost ***,other cutting-edge metaheuristics approach for this challenge were also implemented,and rigid comparative analysis of the captured classification metrics(accuracy,Cohen kappa score,precision,recall,and F1-score)was ***,the best-generated model was interpreted by Shapley additive explanations(SHAP),and useful insights were gained about the behavioral patterns of people who perform social harassment.
