In software projects, bug reports remain open and get updates from team members during the related bug's lifetime. It is an important task to predict when a bug would be resolved so that managers plan timeline and allocate team resources accordingly. Prior works show that reporter information is the most effective feature for predicting resolution time. Previous work only considers bug reporting activity to define reporter reputation and misses other activities. In this paper, we propose a new reputation calculation method that considers all activities of a reporter within a bug tracking system. We collected bug reports of Chromium and WebRTC projects and calculated reputations of each bug reporter within the dataset using our weighted, activity based calculation method as well as other methods from previous work in order to compare performance. We trained a Doc2Vec model to utilize textual information in bug reports to build a base model for comparing different reputation methods. Bug reports are classified into two categories as FAST and SLOW according to their resolution time. Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) and Extreme Gradient Boost (XGB) classifier algorithms are employed. XGB classifier resulted with 55 % - 72 % F -Scores for FAST and SLOW respectively. The results also show that data characteristics of project affects the effectiveness of the reputation calculation method on bug resolution time prediction. © 2022 IEEE.

Social media have become the main platforms for expressing and supplementing nuanced human activity such as engaging in public and private conversations, creating and sharing multimedia content, participating to digital culture events, and recently describing emotions about events, places, or even products. In this survey, we provide a comprehensive overview of graph mining and machine learning on affective social media through graph neural networks (GNNs). The latter are capable of performing a variety of tasks, such as graph and vertex classification, link prediction, and graph clustering using vertex information, edge information, and topological structure. These capabilities are critical in harnessing the vast emotional information available in social media in order to generate meaningful and scalable affective analytics. © 2022 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by the recently discovered coronavirus. This virus spreads through droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. A person can be infected by breathing air containing the virus if a person is too close to someone who is already infected with Covid-19. A person can also be infected by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching their eyes, nose, or mouth. Social distancing is to reduce the spread of viruses, other than washing hands and wearing a mask. With the help of computer Vision Technology, it can monitor the safe distance of human activities in a particular area or environment. The problem is to determine the safe distance in a pixel-based digital image. The difference in the same pixel distance does not always mean the actual distance between adjacent objects is the same. It must consider the actual distance to the camera. Since social distancing requires someone to keep a certain distance from another, a web-based application with a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm is employed using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) and Pixel-to-real-world distance mapping technique. In testing, there are several test scenarios with the accuracy results obtained of 95% with a recall of 0.95 and a precision of 0.92, and MAE 5.9 cm. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper introduces XMeta-OS, a meta-operating system specially designed with Linux as its foundation to unify and optimize resource management for the distributed edge-cloud when dynamic use of GPU resources is possible. This approach offer a new GPU abstraction layer and dynamic edge-cloud allocation model that offer enhanced flexibility and resource utilization over existing systems like Kubernetes and OpenStack. By using likely sensitive data, the model applied cloud-pushed deployment model. XMeta-OS manages computer resources in real-time. Therefore, fulfilling high performance various needs. It allocates CPU and GPU in real-time to workloads requiring massive parallel processing, such as machine learning, scientific simulations, real-time data analytics, and transportation tasks. Fabrication in the laboratory of an edge-cloud environment can help to assess the scalability, fault tolerance and efficiency of the system. It showcases the overall architectural design of XMeta-OS. Changes to the kernel and security solutions for safe and effective distribution are suggested. This article presents the design of the XMeta-OS. The future of XMeta-OS entails usage and testing with which we see latency, energy, computation and other such measurements in labs. XMeta-OS is a solution to cost performance, emerging application, large-scale edge-cloud deployments, and distributed GPU-enabled infrastructures. "I Have to Use My Son's QR Code to Run the Business": Unpacking Senior Street Vendors' Challenges in Mobile Money Collection in China

Mobile payment systems have become an infrastructural component in citizens' socio-economic life in China. The rapid shift to a cashless society demands vendors of all ages to quickly adapt themselves to the ubiquitous mobile payment era. However, how this trend may impact senior vendors, a group that typically uses less technology, remains unknown despite its significance in inclusive mobile payment design. This work aims to address this gap by investigating the challenges and strategies of senior vendors in mobile payment adoption. Particularly, we focus on a traditional low-resource setting with a large volume of senior vendors: street vending. We conduct a qualitative study incorporating field observations on 33 senior street vendors and semi-structured interviews with 15 of them (aged 53-78), and take Moneywork as an analytical lens to unpack their challenges in physical and social interactions. We find that senior street vendors are a group passively adopting mobile payments due to business requirements instead of recognizing their advantages. Vendors with relatively low digital literacy have to take an alternative method - using family members' QR codes - to run the business as family-dependent money receivers. With limited considerations for senior vendors' situational vulnerabilities, unexpected difficulties of payment confirmation emerge during transactions, such as reduced confirmation efficacy under noisy surroundings and degraded hearing. Transaction security issues also appear when mobile payment-based frauds target both confirmation interfaces (e.g., fake sounds of successful payment) and trust systems (e.g., showing half-done proof to flee without paying) in street vending. Finally, we raise a less visible yet critical concern of family-dependent vendors on the lost money freedom when their income flows into their families' wallets. The transition to a lower-carbon energy system across Europe brings numerous opportunities and challenges, necessitating advancements in sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions. This study examines the design and operation of distribution networks and microgrids, particularly emphasizing the integration of hybrid AC/DC distribution systems. The primary goals of this integration are to enhance overall system performance and reduce operating expenses. Utilizing DIgSILENT Power Factory software, the research simulates a microgrid at the FOSS Research Center for Sustainable Energy at the University of Cyprus, incorporating real load and PV generation data. In order to reduce the amount of energy imported from the main grid, this approach evaluates various combinations of AC and DC loads, power production units, and energy storage solutions. The results show that the most optimal structure, with 65% DC loads and 35% AC loads, maximizes efficiency as well as minimizes running expenses. The analysis highlights a notable decrease in imported energy, which dropped from 60.3 kWh/day at full AC loads to 51.6 kWh/day at the optimal DC ratio. Finally, the design and implementation of effective, sustainable energy systems that are in line with changing European energy policy and technology breakthroughs will be significantly impacted by these outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

Our time is characterized by big sprawling urban complexes that a majority of the human population chooses to live where interactions with the environment seem to be vanishing from our day to day lives. Our relationship with the planet's natural ecosystem is paramount to our survival and well-being, a relationship that begins to form during our childhood years. Considering the above we propose a novel system which aims to give the ability to children to interact with the natural environment even when they have no access to it, from the classrooms in which they spend considerable parts of their lives. Specifically the proposed system is based on the technology of the Digital Twin, a core pillar of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and is comprised of a smart birdhouse and an electronic Digital Twin. The smart birdhouse can be deployed in a natural environment and collect atmospheric data like humidity and temperature values as well as record audio and pictures of possible bird visitors. At the same time the collected data will be available to the end user through a dashboard platform for atmospheric parameters and the digital electronic twin which will play the collected sound or pictures. With the above system we aim to achieve a greater and meaningful engagement of children with their natural habitat even when their urban environment makes it impractical or unfeasible. © 2022 ACM.

The Covid-19 pandemic situation and social restrictions as the impact have resulted in many problems, including mental and emotional health in society. The existence of mobile application technology through smartphones, which many people own, can be a means to assist, especially people with emotional problems. We have developed the EmoHealth Application for this purpose. The EmoHealth application aims to make people get easier to manage and regulate their daily emotions. The EmoHealth has been developed based on Artificial Intelligence. It has four main features, namely: emotional assessment, emotional journey, emo insight, and chatbot features, and is currently developed only in the Bahasa version. This research aims to test the EmoHealth application's usability to get users' feedback before it is widely published. Tests are carried out to ensure that the EmoHealth application is usable and suitable for user needs. The USE Questionnaire is used because it is one of the most frequently used methods in testing mobile-based applications. The USE questionnaire has four attributes: usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. Reliability testing aims to measure the consistency of the questionnaire test. The result usability score is 75.9%, which implied that the EmoHealth application can be used well and satisfactorily. © 2022 IEEE.

In the application of network technology, a Web Server is needed that can run well, by providing data services that have the function to accept HTTP or HTTPS requests by maintaining the security of the Web Server from various disturbances or attacks. Along with the development of information technology, it can cause types of crime in technology, especially on web servers. One type of crime that can occur is the Slow loris Distribute Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which type of attack is focused on disrupting service availability. To overcome these types of attacks in a simple and fast way, it can be applied using the firewall installation method with IP tables filtering tools by conducting research on testing and comparative analysis from before and after the implementation of the IP tables method against Slow loris attacks. Finally, this paper discusses about future solution of DDoS attack and recommendation for secure environment, using IP tables configuration is very effective for secure data, because a simple configuration of IP tables can also limit and block IP directly or completely to attackers who can overcome the attack. © 2022 IEEE.

The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) is growing at a fast pace, as they tend to play an important role in areas such as surveillance, delivery of goods, etc. This is mainly based on their ability to perform flights at low cost with fast deployment. Moreover, they can transmit data produced by embedded sensors and carry packages of different size and weight. Based on these characteristics, the approach of building custom UAVs, for different applications is very common. Since each application requires specific hardware for the UAVs' efficient operation, the selection of the appropriate parts is not an easy task. In this paper, all the necessary information of the basic UAV hardware parts is presented. Using this information, an approach is suggested, for selecting the most suited hardware parts for the most common application domains. © 2022 ACM.
