This study will use intelligent modeling to optimize the metal powder injection molding gear process. The robust process combined with fuzzy theory would be used to find process parameters for optimizing process single and multiple quality characteristics. And establish a reverse transfer neural network and adaptive neuro-fuzzy system prediction model. The model hyperparameter structure will be optimized during the modeling process to improve accuracy. The industry can use it to reduce process uncertainty, cost, and extremely a process innovation. The experimental results are single-objective optimization. After optimizing the parameters, the process target displacement, volume shrinkage rate, and powder concentration, compared with the manufacturer's original process, the improvements are increased by 5.79%, 5.66%, and 1.57%. Optimizing multiple quality characteristics has risen by 5.37%, 5.66%, and 0.31%. In the prediction model building part, after the optimization experiment of hyperparameter setting, the accuracy of the backward pass neural network model can reach 96.99%;the accuracy of the adaptive neuro-fuzzy system model can reach 97.45%. © 2023, The Author(s) under exclusive licence to Taiwan Fuzzy Systems Association.

Smart Buildings are buildings that integrate and combine intelligence, management, control, materials, and construction as a single system to meet all the needs of the building, such as comfort, energy efficiency, and durability. In universities, laboratories are used less frequently than other facilities and classrooms. Courses and students may change in the same classroom, and the period of use of such classrooms is much more extended than in laboratories. However, classrooms may only be used for classes during long breaks or for short periods of non-use between exams. In addition, there is no provision for when the heating system will start to heat up before classes or when it will be turned off after classes. By planning heating and lightning, energy and costs will be saved. This paper presents data acquisition methods for preparing a dataset to create a machine learning (ML) model to save energy loss in university laboratories. The developed model will predict energy consumption in classrooms and laboratories based on weather conditions. The study is being conducted in two stages. The first stage describes how to collect data using electronic devices such as Internet of Things (IoT) controllers of Smart Building Management Systems. The second stage gave possibilities for data analysis and preparation using the phases of the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM). © 2024 IEEE.

The objective of this work was the investigation of multiscale Amplitude Modulation - Frequency Modulation (AM-FM) analysis based on Difference of Gaussians (DoG) filterbanks representations in order to predict the risk of stroke by analysing carotid plaques ultrasound images of individuals with asymptomatic carotid stenosis. We computed the instantaneous amplitude, instantaneous phase and the magnitude of instantaneous frequency to extract histogram features on each plaque region. The Support Vectors Machine classifier was implemented to classify asymptomatic versus symptomatic plaques. A dataset of 100 carotid plaque images (50 asymptomatic and 50 symptomatic) were tested, and showed that the AM-FM features based on DoG filterbanks and simple histograms performed better than the traditional AM-FM features. Best results were obtained when an eight scale filterbank with a combination of scales was used reaching the accuracy of 75%. © 2023 IEEE.

This study proposes methods that can be used to examine and interpret comments that users have made after watching videos on YouTube on a particular topic. YouTube tutorials are very popular among young people. They have become an important pillar in informal education, thus contributing to the rapid acquisition of skills and knowledge. Under these circumstances, we were interested in analysing the YouTube videos comments, knowing that the platform has a continuous increase in popularity, which is also due to the opportunities of sharing them. Since ChatGPT-themed YouTube videos have seen a significant surge in popularity since 2022, we were interested to analyse some videos that approach the topics of 'ChatGPT, AI clone, AI robot and Deep Learning.' © 2024 IEEE.

Background: In the cloud environment, the satisfaction of service level agreement (SLA) is the prime objective. It can be achieved by providing services in a minimum time in an efficient manner at the lowest cost by efficiently utilizing the resources. This will create a win-win situation for both consumers and service providers. Through literature analysis, it has been found that the procedure of resource optimization is quite costly and time-consuming. Objectives: The research aims to design and develop an efficient load-balancing technique for the satisfaction of service level agreement and the utilization of resources in an efficient manner. Methods: To achieve this, the authors have proposed a new load-balancing algorithm named EBGAP by picking the best features from Bacterial Foraging, Genetic, Particle-Swarm, and AntColony algorithm. A fitness value is assigned to all virtual machines based on the availability of resources and load on a virtual machine. Results: A newly arrived task is mapped with the fittest virtual machine. Whenever a new task is mapped or left the system, the fitness value of the virtual machine is updated. In this manner, the system achieves the satisfaction of service level agreement, the balance of the load, and efficient utilization of resources. To test the proposed approach, the authors have used the real-time cloud environment of the amazon web service. In this, waiting time, completion time, execution time, throughput, and cost have been computed in a real-time environment. Conclusion: Through experimental results, it can be concluded that the proposed load balancing approach EB-GAP has outperformed other load balancing approaches based on relevant parameters. © 2022 Bentham Science Publishers.

The rapid evolution of e-commerce has been significantly influenced by the integration of machine learning (ML) and data science techniques. The present survey provides a comprehensive overview of how ML methods are applied across various functional domains in e-commerce, including personalized recommendations, dynamic pricing, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and behavioral analysis. We categorize and evaluate a wide range of ML paradigms, namely supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement, and hybrid learning, as well as emerging approaches such as neurosymbolic artificial intelligence (AI), federated learning (FL), and quantumML(QML).Key challenges related to scalability, interpretability, cold-start problems, data sparsity, and privacy are critically analyzed. Additionally, we highlight underexplored areas, such as continual learning (CL) and multi-agent architectures in commerce. The survey incorporates comparative tables, real-world use cases, and a taxonomy of methods to support both academic and industrial perspectives. Ultimately, by analyzing trends and gaps in the literature, we provide a forward-looking research roadmap that bridges ML innovations with the evolving demands of e-commerce ecosystems. © 2013 IEEE.

We present the non-FIFO time-dependent graph model with REalistic vehicle eXchange times (REX) for schedule-based multimodal public transport, along with a novel query algorithm called TRIP-based LAbel-correction propagation (TRIPLA) algorithm that efficiently solves the realistic earliest-arrival routing problem. The REX model possesses all strong features of previous time-dependent graph models without suffering from their deficiencies. It handles non-negligible exchanges from one vehicle to another, as well as supports non-FIFO instances which are typical in public transport, without compromising space efficiency. The synthesis of digital twin (DT) technology into smart grid systems has emerged as a promising approach for enhancing operational efficiency, reliability, and resilience in en-ergy management. DTs offer a virtual representation of physical assets and processes, enabling real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, optimization, and control. This survey paper provides an overview of the recent advances in designing DTs to upgrade the smart grid. We mainly focus on aspects of DT concept, DT empowered economic dispatch, DT empowered prediction and diagnosis, and DT empowered frequency and voltage regulations. The matching and linear matroid intersection problems are solvable in quasi-NC, meaning that there exist deterministic algorithms that run in polylogarithmic time and use quasi-polynomially many parallel processors. However, such a parallel algorithm is unknown for linear matroid matching, which generalizes both of these problems. In this work, we propose a quasi-NC algorithm for fractional linear matroid matching, which is a relaxation of linear matroid matching and commonly generalizes fractional matching and linear matroid intersection. Our algorithm builds upon the connection of fractional matroid matching to non-commutative Edmonds' problem recently revealed by Oki and Soma (2023).
