Introduction: Educational Data Mining and Machine Learning Models gained more interest among researchers and academicians in recent years. These are used to extract meaningful data from the educational database can be applied to predict the student academic performance Objective: The main objective of this research shows the capability to predict the student's performance and is highly beneficial to take remedial actions in the present educational system. It also offers suitable student assistance, allows an educational institution or teacher to help the students in gaining extra marks. Methods: The presented model operates in two stages, namely classification and outlier detection. Initially, a multilayer perceptron is employed for data classification. Later, a stochastic gradient descent classifier and multi-layer perceptron are integrated to effectively classify the data. For further improvement in the classification, Student academic performance, outlier detection method namely radial basis function is applied to remove the misclassified instances Results: The proposed model achieves superior classification performance with the maximum precision of 79.30, recall of 79.30, and accuracy of 79.30, F-score of 79.30 and kappa value of 52.40 respectively. The simulation outcome exhibited that the multilayer perceptron and stochastic gradient descentmodel offers better results over the other classifiers. However, the usage of outlier detection using the radial basis function model takes the classifier results to the next level. Conclusion: Using classification techniques a new student academic performance model is proposed by addressing some issues in the existing model which is used to predict the student academic performance assist inproper time. © 2021 Bentham Science Publishers.

Automation of malware characterization has become increasingly important for early malware detection over the past decades. Since it is crucial to be able to perform malware detection transparently, explainable machine-learning methods may be considered particularly suitable for this application. In our previous work, we thus employed algorithms for learning description-logics concept expressions to obtain structured characterizations of malicious software. The results of our initial experiments, however, lead us to several inconsistencies in the behaviour of the studied algorithms included in DL-Learner, a widely adopted framework for concept learning. Hence, in this work, we make a couple of corrections to DL-Learner, along with a few further enhancements, and repeat the experiments to empirically assess the effects of our changes. The outcomes show that the modified algorithms can mark an improvement in terms of the predictability of their behaviour as well as evaluation metrics. © 2023 CEUR-WS. All rights reserved.

In this work, we investigate a unique effective framework for projected design inspections in industrial manufacturing combining machine learning methodologies and edges cloud computing technologies. We recommend a thorough approach that involves targeted data gathering and broadcast, forecasting and supplying appropriate, as well as innovation with the current IT plant infrastructure, in contrary to state-of-the-art contributions. To highlight the steps and advantages of the suggested solution, a genuine business use case in the manufacture of SMT is described. The outcomes demonstrate that the proposed strategy can dramatically reduce inspection volumes, leading to economic gains. A key achievement basis for the drawn-out presentation of assembling ventures is the creation of imperfection-free, top-notch items. Indeed, even with the intricacy and assortment of items and the requirement for savvy production, an exhaustive and dependable quality investigation is habitually required. Along these lines, high examination volumes cause producing bottlenecks in the review processes. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to develop a predictive design for quality assessment regarding employing cloud computing and machine learning. Concerning this particular research, a descriptive research design has been used by depending on secondary data due to its reliability and validity. Moreover, it has been found that both cloud computing and machine learning contribute effectively for employing quality assessment because of their innovative features and infrastructure. © 2023 IEEE.

Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSN) have drawn increased interest from researchers in recent years due to advancements in underwater tracking, the implementation of multiple uses, and marine monitoring. Both researchers and business are drawn to the UWSN field. It is also susceptible to hostile attacks and threats because of the harsh undersea surroundings, its own capabilities, and the open acoustic channel. These features make it simple for attackers to intercept information across the source and destination. Many studies have been done to secure UWSN from malicious attacks, but the majority of them rely on a threshold that is determined before deployment or a training set of data. Because there is no proven security foundation, it is difficult and challenging for UWSN to identify harmful attacks. To identify harmful attacks in a UWSN, we support vector machines in this research. SVM produces good results and requires significantly less time to train than neural networks. This study will help the researchers design the routing protocols to cover the known security threats and help industries manufacture the devices to observe these threats and security issues. © 2023 IEEE.

Increases in domestical applications and other applications drive the need for better clean Water Management in India. What makes up the 'chemical, physical, and biological' quality of freshwater There are three stages in the conventional method of monitoring water quality: sample, analysis, and inquiry. The scientists do these by hand. This method needs to be foolproof and predict a water supply's quality. They're Using the development of wireless sensor technologies, has also been some investigation into the possibility of monitoring water quality with wireless sensors put in water and communicating with farmers through brief messages regarding water. There has also been a study into the possibility of employing machine learning algorithms to analyze water quality. In light of recent advances in Machine Communication, which allow for devices to communicate with one another and smart ly analyze the data they collect. We have developed an 'smart water quality monitoring system by using wireless sensonrs' for residential areas that rely on water storage tanks. A pH sensor and a total dissolved solids meter are used in this system to provide accurate readings of the water's pH and dissolved solids levels. K-Means clustering, a machine learning technique, has been used to forecast water quality using a training data set consisting of various water samples. This system is now in its prototype stage, used with low-cost embedded devices like the Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi3. © 2023 IEEE.

Organizations have adopted Continuous Software engineering (CSE) practices aiming at making software development faster, iterative, integrated, continuous, and aligned with the business. In this context, they often use different applications (e.g., project management tools, source repositories, and quality assessment tools) that store valuable data to support daily activities and decision-making. However, data items often remain spread in different applications that adopt different data and behavioral models, posing a barrier to integrated data usage. As a consequence, data-driven software development is uncommon, missing valuable opportunities for product and process improvement. In this paper, we explore an ontology network addressing CSE aspects to develop a data integration solution in which networked ontologies are the basis to build reusable and autonomous software components that work together in a system federation to provide meaningful integrated data. We achieve a comprehensive and flexible solution that can be used as a whole or partially, by extracting only the components related to the subdomains of interest. © 2023 ACM.

The need to ensure the longevity of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and secure their communication has spurred various researchers to come up with various WSN models. Prime among the methods for extending the life span of WSNs is the clustering of Wireless Sensors (WS), which reduces the workload of WS and thereby reduces its power consumption. However, a drastic reduction in the power consumption of the sensors when multicore sensors are used in combination with sensors clustering has not been well explored. Therefore, this work proposes a WSN model that employs clustering of multicore WS. The existing Elliptic Curve Cryptographic (ECC) algorithm is optimized for parallel execution of the encryption/decryption processes and security against primitive attacks. The Elliptic Curve Diffie-Helman (ECDH) was used for the key exchange algorithm, and the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) was used to authenticate the communicating nodes. Security analysis of the model and comparative performance analysis with the existing ones were demonstrated. The security analysis results reveal that the proposed model meets the security requirements and resists various security attacks. Additionally, the projected model is scalable, energy-conservative, and supports data freshness. The results of comparative performance analysis show that the proposed WSN model can efficiently leverage multiprocessors and/or many cores for quicker execution and conserves power usage. © 2013 IEEE.

While systematic literature reviews are frequently carried out within software engineering research, performing them in a rigorous and reproducible manner can be difficult. This paper proposes some new methods for evaluating and validating systematic literature reviews. Our approach consists of several steps, such as: Selecting a set of relevant scientific papers to analyze, Developing a list of questions and criteria to evaluate each literature review, and Determining what types of functionality and performance should be evaluated. We tested our method by having multiple experts evaluate the literature reviews based on our questions and criteria. We measured the similarity in scores between each expert to determine the reliability of the evaluations. The average similarity index between experts was 0.58 to 0.83, indicating a reasonable level of agreement in their assessments. This shows our evaluation method can produce fairly consistent results, even when different experts are involved. The relatively high level of agreement is notable considering each expert brings their perspectives and opinions in analyzing literature reviews. By providing concrete questions, criteria, and evaluation methods, we aimed to guide the experts toward more uniform evaluations. In summary, we developed and tested a new approach for evaluating and validating systematic literature reviews in software engineering. By assessing reliability via interrater agreement, we showed that consistent and reproducible results are possible using our evaluation framework and methodology. Our methods could help researchers gain more insight into what makes for an effective and high-quality literature review. © 2023 IEEE.
