This paper deals with the topic of qLPV state-space model based control design in which LMIs are used to optimize the multi-objective control performance. In this paper we investigate how the convex hull of the polytopic model influences the state value estimation of the LMI based control design. We examine these influences through the control design of the two dimensional aeroelastic system's example. First we define various TP type polytopic model representations of a wing section whose vertices define different convex hulls. In the second step we investigate how these models lead to different performances of the state value estimation.

Long Term Evolution (LTE), the next-generation network beyond 3G, is designed to support the explosion in demand for bandwidth-hungry multimedia services that are already experienced in wired networks. To support Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Services (MBMS), LTE offers functionality to transmit MBMS over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN), where a time-synchronized common waveform is transmitted from multiple cells for a given duration. This significantly improves the Spectral Efficiency (SE) compared to conventional MBMS operation. The achieved SE is mainly determined by the Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) utilized by the LTE physical layer. In this paper we propose and evaluate four approaches for the selection of the MCS that will be utilized for the transmission of the MBSFN data. The evaluation of the approaches is performed for different users' distribution and from SE perspective. Based on the SE measurement, we determine the most suitable approach for the corresponding users' distribution.

In this work, we present a concrete framework, based on web services-oriented architecture, for integrating small programmable objects in the web of things. Functionality and data gathered by the Small Programmable Objects (SPO) are exposed using Web Services. Based on this, by exploiting XML encoding, SPO can be comprehensible by any web application. The architecture proposed is focused in providing secure and efficient interoperability between SPO and the web. Additionally, the proposed architecture provides management capabilities for deploying, maintaining and operating SPO applications across multiple networks. We present the multilayer architecture of our system and its implementation, which uses a combination of Java Standard and Micro Editions. Finally, we present a case study presenting our implementation. In this application we use SunSPOTs, which are wireless network motes developed by Sun Microsystems.
