A decision tree is an easy-to-understand tool that has been widely used for classification tasks. On the one hand, due to privacy concerns, there has been an urgent need to create privacy-preserving classifiers that conceal the user's input from the classifier. On the other hand, with the rise of cloud computing, data owners are keen to reduce risk by outsourcing their model, but want security guarantees that third parties cannot steal their decision tree model. To address these issues, Joye and Salehi introduced a theoretical protocol that efficiently evaluates decision trees while maintaining privacy by leveraging their comparison protocol that is resistant to timing attacks. However, their approach was not only inefficient but also prone to side-channel attacks. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new decision tree inference protocol in which the model is shared and evaluated among multiple entities. We partition our decision tree model by each level to be stored in a new entity we refer to as a "level-site."Utilizing this approach, we were able to gain improved average run time for classifier evaluation for a non-complete tree, while also having strong mitigations against.side-channel attacks. © 2024 IEEE.

In this article, an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA)-based self-biased, ultra-low power inst.umentation amplifier is proposed. The design is performed in SCL 0.18 μm technology under 0.6 V power supply. The total current drawn from the supply is 144 nA, resulting in ultra-low power consumption of 86 nW. The entire circuit is self-biased by an in-built current reference circuit. The inst.umentation amplifier produces a fixed gain of 61 dB with unity gain bandwidth of 4.1 KHz and input RMS noise voltage of 2.01 μVrms. The amplifier is aimed for bio-medical applications and is capable of amplifying a signal as low as 0.5 μV with an ultra-low frequency of 1 Hz also, serving the range of even the weakest possible bio-potential signal quite efficiently. © 2022 IEEE.

Pending interest table (PIT) is one of the data structures on each named data network router. The speed of delivery of interest as well as the interest served at PIT are several important parameters for measuring PIT performance. This research was conducted to analyze the performance of PIT by measuring the round trip time (RTT) of sending data and sending interests from consumers to producers on the Palapa Ring Sumatra topology. Testing is carried out using miniNDN by varying the length of the prefix and the number of interests sent. From the simulation and results of the analysis that has been carried out, it is known that the correlation between the length of the prefix and RTT is directly proportional. The longer the prefix of an interest packet, the higher the RTT value. Apart from the simulation results, the number of interest packets sent is the same as those received at each node. © 2023 IEEE.

Adopting serverless computing to edge networks benefits end-users from the pay-as-you-use billing model and flexible scaling of applications. This paradigm extends the boundaries of edge computing and remarkably improves the quality of services. However, due to the heterogeneous nature of computing and bandwidth resources in edge networks, it is challenging to dynamically allocate different resources while adapting to the burstiness and high concurrency in serverless workloads. This article focuses on serverless function provisioning in edge networks to optimize end-to-end latency, where the challenge lies in jointly allocating wireless bandwidth and computing resources among heterogeneous computing nodes. To address this challenge, We devised a context-aware learning framework that adaptively orchestrates a wide spectrum of resources and jointly considers them to avoid resource fragmentation. Extensive simulation results justified that the proposed algorithm reduces over 95% of converge time while the end-to-end delay is comparable to the state of the art.

Metamorphic testing is a testing method for problems without test oracles. Integration testing allows for detecting errors in complex systems that may not be found during the testing of their components. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that applies metamorphic testing in integration testing. The main idea is to develop a composite metamorphic relation for the system represented as an acyclic graph. This relation is a logical function of metamorphic relations for the parts of the system (vertices of the graph). It takes into account the features of the parts. Also, it can simplify the search for failure by identifying the subsystem with error. In this paper's theoretical part, we describe an algorithm of relation design. Then, we apply our method to a bioinformatics system for comparative genetic analysis of tissues using production tools. This experiment proves our method can be applied to real-life pipelines and find errors in them. © 2022 ACM.

This research introduces a novel method for indoor positioning by integrating Fuzzy C-Means clustering with deep learning autoencoders, leveraging Wi-Fi RSSI fingerprinting for precise location prediction and building and floor level classification within a unified framework. The approach combines the comprehensibility of Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) with the robust feature extraction capabilities of deep autoencoders through a dual-phase strategy: extensive offline training utilizing RSSI fingerprint data followed by real-time online position prediction. The model's performance was rigorously tested using 5-Fold cross-validation, examining its effectiveness both with and without the integration of FCM on various cluster numbers. Evaluation metrics, including Euclidean distance error for regression and accuracy, F1-score, precision, and specificity for classification effectiveness, were used for comparative analysis. The results were visualized through regression plots, confusion matrices, and learning curves, supplemented by t-SNE visualizations that provide profound insights into the feature space. These detailed analyses highlight the considerable promise of this integrated approach in enhancing the accuracy and reliability of indoor positioning systems.

The BART model is an advanced adaptation of transformers introduced by Facebook. It has incorporated elements from both BERT and GPT transformers, enabling significant advancements in language understanding and general speech processing. Utilizing both encoder and decoder components, BART proves versatile for various tasks, including translation, text completion, automatic sentence generation, entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and more. In this study, we focus on the study of pretrained models, BART and a modified version called distilbart, in the context of Zero-Shot Text Classification. In the experimental study we dive into the Zero-Shot technique applied to various pretrained Transformers. Our analysis demonstrates that, depending on the Model we utilize, we can achieve F1 scores of up to 88%, showcasing the model's effectiveness in discerning classes for this Sentiment Analysis problem using the Zero-Shot Text Classification technique.

This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of electrical generator performance using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with a specific emphasis on the role of coil numbers in influencing generator efficiency and functionality. In the context of modern energy systems, where efficient power generation is paramount, this research aims to elucidate the relationship between the number of coils within a generator and its overall performance, including power output and electromagnetic behavior. Through systematic FEA simulations that vary coil numbers while keeping other parameters constant, this study provides valuable insights into the trade-offs associated with increased coil numbers and enhanced efficiency. These findings have significant implications for optimizing generator designs across various applications, from renewable energy systems to industrial power generation, ultimately advancing our understanding of generator dynamics and contributing to more sustainable and efficient power generation technologies. © 2023 IEEE.

The Israel-Palestine conflict that occurred on October 7, 2023, resulted in a boycott of brands known to be pro-Israel. Twitter or X, as one of the largest social media platforms in the world, became a platform for people to voice their opinions regarding the boycott. This study aims to analyze the sentiment of Twitter or X users towards the boycott of pro-Israel brands using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method with the SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique) approach. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) method is a machine learning method used for classification and regression. SMOTE is a technique used to overcome data imbalance. The data used in this study is Indonesian language tweet data from October 7, 2023, to April 7, 2024. The data was collected using data crawling techniques. The results of the study from the 80:20 data split, show that the Support Vector Machine (SVM) polynomial kernel model with the SMOTE technique has better performance in analyzing the sentiment of Twitter or X users towards the boycott of pro-Israel brands, with an accuracy value of 98,47%.

There has been a major change in the financial environment with the recent transition of traditional banking systems towards Decentralized Finance (DeFi). A decentralized alternative that includes DeFi, lessens conventional financial inst.tutions’ drawbacks and improves privacy, transparency, transaction speed, and worldwide accessibility. The work presented here shows an Intelligent NFT-Backed Loans Framework for valuing and managing risk in the DeFi ecosystem. The architecture uses blockchain technology, smart contracts, and artificial intelligence to assure transaction security and integrity. In DeFi, we use Google Colaboratory to build a framework and evaluate its performance across five crossvalidation folds. With a maximum accuracy of 87.35 %, the framework demonstrates its efficacy and consistency over a wide range of data subsets. Using performance evaluation over 5 cross folds for training and validation data, this model enhances loan transaction security by identifying benign nodes for efficient valuation and compliance. Performance evaluation for DeFi extends to training and validation accuracy and loss over 5 folds, and also testing accuracy for 5 folds. This methodology maintains the integrity and security of NFT-backed loans by detecting unauthorized nodes on Proof of Stake permissionless blockchains.
