Software vulnerabilities damage the reliability of software systems. Recently, many methods based on deep learning have been proposed for vulnerability detection by learning features from code sequences or various property graphs. However, sequence-based methods frequently fail to consider the structural information of the code, whereas graph-based methods often encounter difficulties in capturing long-distance contextual semantic information. To overcome these limitations, we propose PTCN, a novel vulnerability detection method that integrates Pre-Trained code language model and Convolutional Neural network (CNN). First, the code tokens sequence and the propagation chains are constructed from the source code in preparation for the subsequent feature extraction. Next, GraphCodeBERT, a graph-based pre-trained code language model, is introduced as a means of learning both the semantic and structural information contained in the code tokens sequence and the propagation chains. Then, a CNN architecture is designed to effectively extract the crucial vulnerability features from the hidden states of the last Transformer layer of GraphCodeBERT for vulnerability detection. The experiments on the public benchmark dataset REVEAL indicate that PTCN outperforms the state-of-the-art methods with respect to the Accuracy and F1-score metrics by 3.41%-15.80% and 22.68%-104.27%, respectively. © 2024 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. Voice conversion (VC) can be achieved by first extracting source content information and target speaker information, and then reconstructing waveform with these information. However, current approaches normally either extract dirty content information with speaker information leaked in, or demand a large amount of annotated data for training. Besides, the quality of reconstructed waveform can be degraded by the mismatch between conversion model and vocoder. In this paper, we adopt the end-to-end framework of VITS for high-quality waveform reconstruction, and propose strategies for clean content information extraction without text annotation. We disentangle content information by imposing an information bottleneck to WavLM features, and propose the spectrogram-resize based data augmentation to improve the purity of extracted content information. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the latest VC models trained with annotated data and has greater robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

Many sophisticated cloud platforms are available to provide services such as storage and computation for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. However, with the concerns about the semi-trusted nature of cloud platforms, data security and privacy have been gaining broad attention. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-assisted verifiable data sharing scheme (BAV-DSS) for IoT. The BAV-DSS features fine-grained access control, fast encryption, and outsourced decryption with verifiability. Specifically, with the application of ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE), flexible access control is enabled. Blockchain is employed to store public keys, generate account addresses, and perform data verification. Furthermore, the selective replayable chosen ciphertext attacks (sRCCA) security of BAV-DSS is proved, and the simulation results indicate that BAV-DSS obtains high efficiency and practicality compared to other schemes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Research on improved full-factor deep information mining algorithm

In the use of fire-fighting physics platform for fire alarm data correlation analysis, there are often problems such as too much data volume and insufficient accuracy of the analysis results. For such questions, this paper establishes a full-factor secondary mining mechanism for fire accidents based on the fire big data based on the correlation analysis algorithm and the clustering algorithm. The association algorithm is used to conduct full-factor primary mining on the fire-related factors in the data warehouse, and the common-sense accident attributes in the association rules are extracted. Then use the K-means clustering algorithm, where the cluster center is the relevant attribute in the fire accident record, and perform the second combined clustering of the accident elements to achieve in-depth information mining of all factors of the fire accident. Experimental results show that the improved full-factor deep information mining algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively filter 31.6% of meaningless mining results compared to the traditional single mining algorithm. It shows that the algorithm in this paper can more accurately dig out the relationship between data, and can provide more effective decision support for fire management and other work. © 2022

Image co-segmentation and co-localization exploit inter-image information to identify and extract foreground objects with a batch mode. However, they remain challenging when confronted with large object variations or complex backgrounds. This paper proposes a multi-view graph embedding (MV-Gem) learning scheme which integrates diversity, robustness and discernibility of object features to alleviate this phenomenon. To encourage the diversity, the deep co-information containing both low-layer general representations and high-layer semantic information is generated to form a multi-view feature pool for comprehensive co-object description. To enhance the robustness, a multi-view adaptive weighted learning is formulated to fuse the deep co-information for feature complementation. To ensure the discernibility, the graph embedding and sparse constraint are embedded into the fusion formulation for feature selection. The former aims to inherit important structures from multiple views, and the latter further selects important features to restrain irrelevant backgrounds. With these techniques, MV-Gem gradually recovers all co-objects through optimization iterations. Extensive experimental results on real-world datasets demonstrate that MV-Gem is capable of locating and delineating co-objects in an image group. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

In Software-Defined networks(SDNs),determining how to efficiently achieve Quality of Service(QoS)-aware routing is challenging but critical for significantly improving the performance of a network,where the metrics of QoS can be defined as,for example,average latency,packet loss ratio,and *** SDN controller can use network statistics and a Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)method to resolve this *** this paper,we formulate dynamic routing in an SDN as a Markov decision process and propose a DRL algorithm called the Asynchronous Advantage Actor-Critic QoS-aware Routing Optimization Mechanism(AQROM)to determine routing strategies that balance the traffic loads in the *** can improve the QoS of the network and reduce the training time via dynamic routing strategy updates;that is,the reward function can be dynamically and promptly altered based on the optimization objective regardless of the network topology and traffic *** can be considered as one-step optimization and a black-box routing mechanism in high-dimensional input and output sets for both discrete and continuous states,and actions with respect to the operations in the *** simulations were conducted using OMNeT++and the results demonstrated that AQROM 1)achieved much faster and stable convergence than the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)and Advantage Actor-Critic(A2C),2)incurred a lower packet loss ratio and latency than Open Shortest Path First(OSPF),DDPG,and A2C,and 3)resulted in higher and more stable throughput than OSPF,DDPG,and A2C.

Lithological facies classification is a pivotal task in petroleum geology, underpinning reservoir characterization and influencing decision-making in exploration and production operations. Traditional classification methods, such as support vector machines and Gaussian process classifiers, often struggle with the complexity and nonlinearity of geological data, leading to suboptimal performance. Moreover, numerous prevalent approaches fail to adequately consider the inherent dependencies in the sequence of measurements from adjacent depths in a well. A novel approach leveraging an attention-based gated recurrent unit (AGRU) model is introduced in this paper to address these challenges. The AGRU model excels by exploiting the sequential nature of well-log data and capturing long-range dependencies through an attention mechanism. This model enables a flexible and context-dependent weighting of different parts of the sequence, enhancing the discernment of key features for classification. The proposed method was validated on two publicly available datasets. Results demonstrate a considerably improvement over traditional methods. Specifically, the AGRU model achieved superior performance metrics considering precision, recall, and F1-score.

Medical images often occupy large storage space and contain patient privacy or sensitive information, which makes them difficult and unsafe to be transmitted through the network. This paper proposed an adaptive compression-encryption scheme based on improved compressive sensing (CS) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) coding-compression, which helps to solve the above problem. In the proposed scheme, first the original medical image was compressed to a floating point CS matrix using the discrete wavelet transform and the partial Hadamard matrix. The CS matrix was then normalized and rounded for matrix quantification. The result of quantification was fed to DNA fixed encoding and DNA run length coding for encryption and secondary compression. Finally the compressed-encrypted image was obtained after DNA dynamic encoding-decoding and regroups operation. The proposed scheme was tested against 9 images and proved to be effective in reducing the quantization errors and enhancing the compression performance. For instance, when the benchmark compression ratio (CR) is 0.5, the CR can be reduced by 5%(CR = 0.4453) ∼ 23%(CR = 0.2636), with the corresponding peak signal-to-noise ratio values consistently surpassing the benchmark. Furthermore, the execution of DNA compression and DNA dynamic encoding-decoding provided double guarantee for the algorithm's security. © 2024 IEEE.

Automated skin lesion classification in dermoscopy images remains challenging due to the existence of artefacts and intrinsic cutaneous features, diversity of lesion morphology, insufficiency of training data, and class imbalance problem. To address these challenges, we propose a new densely connected convolutional network termed AttDenseNet-121, which is obtained by integrating the convolutional block attention module (CBAM) into DenseNet-121. CBAM is a simple yet efficient attention module, which is further improved by adding a novel pooling layer (multiscale-pooling) to effectively enhance its attention capability. The optimized CBAM strengthens the representation power of DenseNet-121 by emphasizing meaningful features and suppressing unnecessary ones, thus significantly enhancing the classification performance. Besides, to handle the imbalanced dataset, we employ an improved focal loss function rather than the traditional cross-entropy loss function to train AttDenseNet-121. The improved focal loss is calculated from a different perspective compared with the original focal loss. It makes the distribution of positive samples and negative samples in each batch the same as that in the original data, successfully mitigating the negative influence of class imbalance on this multi-class classification task. We conduct extensive experiments on the public benchmark dataset (HAM10000) and the results indicate that our proposed method achieves superior performance compared with that of the baselines and state-of-the-art algorithms. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Current intelligent diagnosis systems are often trained to diagnose a small number of diseases and lack the ability of continually learning new disease knowledge. To have such continual learning ability, the deployed intelligent system needs to be continually updated based on training data of only new diseases, without accessing old data of previously learned diseases due to privacy concerns and challenges in data sharing across medical centers. In this study, a novel and effective prompt learning strategy is proposed to help a pretrained and fixed Vision Transformer (ViT) continually learn new diseases. In particular, a set of unique prompts for each disease are effectively learned such that discriminative disease features can be well extracted from the fixed ViT under the instructions of prompts during feature extraction, even though the ViT feature extractor is pretrained in the natural image domain. Extensive empirical evaluations on two medical image datasets and one natural image dataset demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method.
