Hybrid intelligence has emerged as an innovative approach that synergistically combines the strengths of human intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI) to address complex problems. In this paradigm, knowledge graphs play a pivotal role by supplying vital background information and contextual understanding to hybrid intelligence systems. However, due to limitations in local storage capacity, managing large-scale graph data often requires outsourcing to cloud servers. Nevertheless, the use of untrusted cloud servers poses a risk of potential user data leaks. To address these concerns, this paper presents an encryption scheme specifically designed to protect graph data, enabling queries involving intermediate nodes in the shortest path between two nodes within the graph. The proposed scheme ensures the privacy and security of outsourced data by employing a novel method that utilizes padding dictionary structure encryption. This method ensures strict limitations on the cloud server's capabilities, restricting it solely to query operations, it effectively prevents any compromise of user data or unauthorized access to sensitive information, users can securely store and process their graph data on servers, significantly reducing the potential risk of data leakage and unauthorized breaches. To validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed solution, practical experiments were conducted using real-world data. © 2023 IEEE.

Sensors produce a large amount of multivariate time series data to record the states of Internet of Things(IoT)*** time series timestamp anomaly detection(TSAD)can identify timestamps of attacks and ***,it is necessary to determine which sensor or indicator is abnormal to facilitate a more detailed diagnosis,a process referred to as fine-grained anomaly detection(FGAD).Although further FGAD can be extended based on TSAD methods,existing works do not provide a quantitative evaluation,and the performance is ***,to tackle the FGAD problem,this paper first verifies that the TSAD methods achieve low performance when applied to the FGAD task directly because of the excessive fusion of features and the ignoring of the relationship’s dynamic changes between ***,this paper proposes a mul-tivariate time series fine-grained anomaly detection(MFGAD)*** avoid excessive fusion of features,MFGAD constructs two sub-models to independently identify the abnormal timestamp and abnormal indicator instead of a single model and then combines the two kinds of abnormal results to detect the fine-grained *** on this framework,an algorithm based on Graph Attention Neural network(GAT)and Attention Convolutional Long-Short Term Memory(A-ConvLSTM)is proposed,in which GAT learns temporal features of multiple indicators to detect abnormal timestamps and A-ConvLSTM captures the dynamic relationship between indicators to identify abnormal *** simulations on a real-world dataset demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve a higher F1 score and hit rate than the extension of existing TSAD methods with the benefit of two independent sub-models for timestamp and indicator detection.

The aim of cross-modal image-text retrieval is to heighten comprehension and to create robust associations between visual and textual content. This process entails a mutual querying and synchronization across various data formats. While conventional techniques have seen enhancements via attention-based approaches, they frequently miss the dynamics between corresponding and non-corresponding entity areas within image-text pairs. These techniques, often fixated on aligning image entities with textual terms, can overlook the congruence of entity characteristics, leading to less accurate localization. This research introduces PNRITR, an innovative strategy for cross-modal retrieval that leverages label learning to discern attributes absent from images, broadening the scope beyond just positive entity areas. With the development of information and technology, especially with the boom in big data, healthcare support systems are becoming much better. However, an early diagnosis is not an easy task because it is hard to find out the hidden patterns in the disease. The symptoms of heart failure are usually non-specific. Therefore, this study aims to devise an early prediction model for incident heart disease based on machine learning algorithms. In this study, we compared several powerful models, including support vector machines (SVM), k-nearest neighbor (KNN), decision tree, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), random forest, gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT), categorical boosting (CatBoost), light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM), and choose two best models, namely, XGBoost and LSTM as our prediction model. The XGBoost algorithm was used to extract a subset from the data of patients, which will be fed into the LSTM-XGBoost model for training. An experiment comparison is conducted based on the data from Kaggle. Experimental results demonstrate that the LSTM-XGBoost model can operate effectively with a prediction accuracy achieving 0.9896 and a loss rate achieving 0.0105, which is much better than XGBoost or LSTM, respectively. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In this paper, a compact and highly selective stacked filtering dense dielectric patch (DDP) antenna (DDPA) is proposed. By placing a pair of thin DDP with high dielectric constant along the y axis on the DDP with low dielectric constant, the resonant frequency of the TE12 mode is adjusted to approach low frequency and form a passband with the TE11 mode. By loading a U-shaped microstrip feeding line on the microstrip feeding line, the bandwidth can be further broadened and the TE11, TE11 + δ and TE12 modes can be successfully excited in the passband. The radiation nulls are generated by the U-shaped microstrip line and non-radiative TE12 mode, respectively. By adjusting the length of the U-shaped microstrip line and the size of DDP with high dielectric constant, the independent adjustment of radiation nulls can be achieved. Finally, the proposed filtering antenna achieves a relative bandwidth of 11.66 % (4.04-4.54 GHz). The average realized gain and peak gain are 6.89 dBi and 7.1 dBi, respectively. The realized gain in the passband is very flat, and the fluctuation is less than 0.7 dBi. The proposed antenna has the advantages of compactness, high selectivity and flat gain, and it can be applied to modern satellite communication and wireless communication systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an invaluable tool for brain tumor segmentation. However, in clinical practice, certain modalities might be unavailable, leading to potential performance degradation in prediction tasks. According to current implementations, different modalities are treated as independent entities during the feature extraction phase, ignoring their inherent complementary nature. In this paper, inspired by knowledge distillation techniques, we introduce the Fusion-Inspired Modality Distillation (FIMD) framework. FIMD leverages the output from a fused multi-modal model as a teacher to guide the training of individual modalities. Each modality benefits from the collective knowledge of all modalities, enhancing its performance. Our FIMD method, devoid of specific architectural constraints, seamlessly integrates into existing multi-modal brain tumor segmentation frameworks. Notably, extensive experiments on BraTS2020, BraTS2018, and BraTS2015 datasets indicate that FIMD can enhance the performance of current state-of-the-art (SOTA) algorithms on Dice by an average of 0.55-1.60%. Especially in the case of missing modalities, the effectiveness of the FIMD framework in enhancing the robustness and accuracy of brain tumor segmentation is demonstrated. © 2024 ACM.

Differential signals are key in control engineering as they anticipate future behavior of process variables and therefore are critical in formulating control laws such as proportional-integral-derivative(PID).The practical challenge,however,is to extract such signals from noisy measurements and this difficulty is addressed first by *** in the form of linear and nonlinear tracking differentiator(TD).While improvements were made,TD did not completely resolve the conflict between the noise sensitivity and the accuracy and timeliness of the *** two approaches proposed in this paper start with the basic linear TD,but apply iterative learning mechanism to the historical data in a moving window(MW),to form two new iterative learning tracking differentiators(IL-TD):one is a parallel IL-TD using an iterative ladder network structure which is implementable in analog circuits;the other a serial IL-TD which is implementable digitally on any computer *** algorithms are validated in simulations which show that the proposed two IL-TDs have better tracking differentiation and de-noise performance compared to the existing linear TD.

Chinese short text similarity computation stands as a pivotal task within natural language processing, garnering significant attention. However, existing models grapple with limitations in handling intricate semantic relationships, such as the challenge of discerning subtle semantic nuances in text, inadequacies in effectively integrating diverse levels of semantic information, and the struggle to capture polysemous meanings accurately. In addressing these issues, this paper introduces an innovative Chinese short text similarity computation model, SMGC-SBERT. This model addresses shortcomings of the existing models by employing a multi-module fusion strategy, thereby enabling a more precise measurement of semantic similarity between texts. Primarily, the model incorporates SAT embedding to acquire phrase-level semantic information and leverages the MS-BERT model to encode text, improving the model's comprehension of textual polysemy and obtaining richer semantic representation. Then, the fusion of module features, including multi-branch convolutional networks and mix pooling, enables the extraction of textual features from varied levels, bolstering the model's representational capacity. Additionally, to further reduce overfitting risks while improving accuracy and other performance, a multi-layer feature adjustment network is utilized for short text similarity calculation. The final resultant experimental findings showcase the superiority of the SMGC-SBERT model over other neural network models, demonstrating significant advancements across both Chinese-SNLI and CCKS2018_Task3 Chinese short text datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Image-text matching is an important problem at the intersection of computer vision and natural language processing. It aims to establish the semantic link between image and text to achieve high-quality semantic alignment between the two modalities. However, the existing methods have the problem that the meaning expressed in the image or the complex narrative in the text cannot be fully understood due to insufficient feature extraction. Moreover, due to the essential modal differences between images and texts, how to effectively and accurately align the semantic contents in images and texts has become the key of research. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a method based on feature enhancement and relationship interaction. When processing images, the proposed method fuses labeled features, region features and location features to represent images. When processing text, a combination of Bi-GRU and self-attention mechanism is used to represent the text. In order to further align the semantic content in images and texts accurately, this paper improves two relational interaction mechanisms by identifying connection relationships and learning association relationships. Thus, the relation enhanced embedding is obtained. Finally, it calculated the similarity of the enhanced embedding to judge the matching degree of the image and text. Extensive experiments on the public datasets Flickr30K and MSCOCO demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study, we introduce a novel Hybrid Federated Learning (HybridFL) approach aimed at enhancing privacy and accuracy in collaborative machine learning scenarios. Our methodology integrates Differential Privacy (DP) and secret sharing techniques to address inference risks during training and protect against information leakage in the output model. Drawing inspiration from recent advances, we present a HybridFL framework that combines the strengths of Homomorphic Encryption (HE) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to achieve secure computation without the computational overhead of pure HE methods. Our contributions include a privacy-preserving design for Federated Learning (FL) that ensures local data privacy through secret sharing while leveraging DP mechanisms for noise addition. The system offers resilience against unreliable participants and is evaluated using various machine learning models, including Convolutional Neural networks (CNN), Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLP), and linear regression. Furthermore, we address potential external threats by deploying predictive model outputs as robust services against inference attacks. Experimental results demonstrate improved accuracy and convergence speed, establishing the viability of HybridFL as an effective solution for collaborative machine learning with enhanced privacy guarantees. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2025.
