In Information Centric networking(ICN)where content is the object of exchange,in-network caching is a unique functional feature with the ability to handle data storage and distribution in remote sensing satellite *** up cache space at any node enables users to access data nearby,thus relieving the processing pressure on the ***,the existing caching strategies still suffer from the lack of global planning of cache contents and low utilization of cache resources due to the lack of fine-grained division of cache *** address the issues mentioned,a cooperative caching strategy(CSTL)for remote sensing satellite networks based on a two-layer caching model is *** two-layer caching model is constructed by setting up separate cache spaces in the satellite network and the ground *** caching of popular contents in the region at the ground station to reduce the access delay of users.A content classification method based on hierarchical division is proposed in the satellite network,and differential probabilistic caching is employed for different levels of *** cached content is also dynamically adjusted by analyzing the subsequent changes in the popularity of the cached *** the two-layer caching model,ground stations and satellite networks collaboratively cache to achieve global planning of cache contents,rationalize the utilization of cache resources,and reduce the propagation delay of remote sensing *** results show that the CSTL strategy not only has a high cache hit ratio compared with other caching strategies but also effectively reduces user request delay and server load,which satisfies the timeliness requirement of remote sensing data transmission.

Iterative Data Generation with Large Language Models for Aspect-based Sentiment Analysis

Aspect-based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) is an important sentiment analysis task, which aims to determine the sentiment polarity towards an aspect in a sentence. Due to the expensive and limited labeled data, data generation (DG) has become the standard for improving the performance of ABSA. However, current DG methods usually have some shortcomings: 1) poor fluency and coherence, 2) lack of diversity of generated data, and 3) reliance on some existing labeled data, hindering its applications in real-world scenarios. With the advancement of large language models (LLMs), LLM-based DG has the potential to solve the above issues. Unfortunately, directly prompting LLMs struggles to generate the desired pseudo-label ABSA data, as LLMs are prone to hallucinations, leading to undesired data generation. To this end, we propose a systematic Iterative Data Generation framework, namely IDG, to boost the performance of ABSA. The core of IDG is to make full use of the powerful abilities (i.e., instruction-following, in-context learning and self-reflection) of LLMs to iteratively generate more fluent and diverse pseudo-label data, starting from an unsupervised sentence corpus. Specifically, IDG designs a novel iterative data generation mechanism and a self-reflection data filtering module to tackle the challenges of unexpected data generation caused by hallucinations. Extensive experiments on four widely-used ABSA benchmarks show that IDG brings consistent and significant performance gains among five baseline ABSA models. More encouragingly, the synthetic data generated by IDG can achieve comparable or even better performance against the manually annotated data. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With increasing demand for mobile communication and the development of artificial intelligence, the development of the sixth-generation mobile communication network (6G) will be oriented toward more intelligent and multimodal services. It is necessary to consider the deep integration of information, communication, and data technologies and build a full life cycle resource management framework for computing, data, artificial intelligence models, and communication. To address the requirements of 6G intelligent applications and multimodal services, this article refers to the visual cognitive mechanism of the human brain to improve multimedia representation and communication efficiency and studies the architecture of semantic communication systems, privacy protection mechanisms, and quality evaluation and guarantee mechanisms. The "semantic-network-semantic" architecture was established to integrate semantic computing, intelligent communication, and endogenous security to improve transmission efficiency, service quality, and security credibility. Through prior semantic knowledge, semantic representation, and encoding transmission methods, the quality of service of semantic communication is improved. To build an efficient 6G semantic communication paradigm and system, the communication mode should be changed, and new ideas for future mobile communication should be provided. © 1979-2012 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (loT) facilitates the interconnection of a vast array of devices, services, and individuals for data exchange in multi-domain loT ecosystems, the social, physical, and cyber domains. That emerges various security, privacy, and trust issues, such as vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks. Addressing these challenges requires innovative solutions. New controls (solutions) are needed. Trust by design can be one of these controls, supporting security and privacy (among other system components). This paper proposes a Trusted loT (TloT), a trust-by-design model, and highlights the author's principal contributions. First, it advocates for implementing Tlo T through trust services. Second, it outlines an architecture for using trust by design in loT, including the design of its top-level structure and activities. Minor contributions include overviews of loT and trust, as well as looking at security and privacy in terms of security services and privacy services, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Betweenness centrality (BC) is widely used to measure a vertex's significance by using the frequency of a vertex appearing in the shortest path between other vertices. However, most recent algorithms in BC computation suffer from the problem of high auxiliary memory consumption. To reduce BC computing's memory consumption, we propose a path-mergingbased algorithm called Galliot to calculate the BC values on GPU, which aims to minimize the on-board memory consumption and enable the BC computation of large-scale graphs. The proposed algorithm requires O(n) space and runs in O(mn) time on unweighted graphs. We present the theoretical principle for the proposed path merging method. Moreover, we propose a locality-oriented policy to maintain and update the worklist to improve GPU data locality. In addition, we conducted extensive experiments on NVIDIA GPUs to show the performance of Galliot. The results show that Galliot can process the larger graphs, which have 11.32× more vertices and 5.67× more edges than the graphs that recent works. Moreover, Galliot can achieve up to 38.77× speedup over the existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Goodness-of-fit testing, a classical statistical tool, has been extensively explored in the batch setting, where the sample size is predetermined. However, practitioners often prefer methods that adapt to the complexity of a problem rather than fixing the sample size beforehand. Classical batch tests are generally unsuitable for streaming data, as valid inference after data peeking requires multiple testing corrections, resulting in reduced statistical power. To address this issue, we delve into the design of consistent sequential goodness-of-fit tests. Following the principle of testing by betting, we reframe this task as selecting a sequence of payoff functions that maximize the wealth of a fictitious bettor, betting against the null in a repeated game. We conduct experiments to demonstrate the adaptability of our sequential test across varying difficulty levels of problems while maintaining control over type-I errors.

The most influential nodes are capable of generating maximum influence and widest information spread to their connected nodes in mobile social networks. Hence identifying high influential users plays an important role in monitoring network public opinion. However, influence maximization is an open and challenging issue, and existing works only focus on online social networks but fail to characterize the user social relations and social behavior. In this paper, firstly, we present a novel method based on location and preference relationships to calculate the social influence of users, and the initial nodes are identified by community partition. Secondly, according to the stochastic information spreading process in MSNs, we propose the Fluctuate Particle Swarm Optimization (FPSO)-algorithm to solve the problem of changing communication relationship between users at the optimization stage. Finally, we use extensive experiments on the real datasets to prove the effectiveness of the proposed FPSO-algorithm. The experimental evaluation shows that in the real networks, our proposal achieves better performance than other related methods. © 2022 ACM.

As an Ethernet-based communication protocol with timing determinism, TSN (time-sensitive networking) has become a well-recognized promising in-vehicle network solution for increasingly automated automobiles. To satisfy the reliability requirement of safety-critical applications, existing works towards fault-tolerant TSN trade too much bandwidth for redundancy, limiting their scope of applicability. Targeting mixed-critical traffic, which is widely found in practice, we define a shared fault-tolerant segment that is compatible with the TSN standard. It serves the critical flows when faults occur, to improve their reliability and serves the non-critical flows when otherwise, to improve their quality of service (QoS). On top of this, we propose a space-time redundancy scheduling algorithm, aiming to make the most efficient use of bandwidth, i.e., to fulfill both the reliability as well as hard real-time requirements, and maximize the QoS with the least bandwidth. In essence, we formulate a bi-objective design space exploration problem with hundreds of thousands of decision variables and solve it with customized heuristics. Experimental results show that compared to the state-of-the-art methods, our reported work increases the number of critical flows that can be accommodated on a resource-constrained network by 3 to 4 times, and achieve the highest QoS with an average reduction of 60.3% in bandwidth. As the first work along sharing of bandwidth between mixed-critical traffic in fault-tolerant TSN, this idea can be further pursued towards higher efficiency and may be applied in general autonomous systems.

Devil is in Details: Locality-Aware 3D Abdominal CT Volume Generation for Self-Supervised Organ Segmentation

In the realm of medical image analysis, self-supervised learning (SSL) techniques have emerged to alleviate labeling demands, while still facing the challenge of training data scarcity owing to escalating resource requirements and privacy constraints. Numerous efforts employ generative models to generate high-fidelity, unlabeled 3D volumes across diverse modalities and anatomical regions. However, the intricate and indistinguishable anatomical structures within the abdomen pose a unique challenge to abdominal CT volume generation compared to other anatomical regions. To address the overlooked challenge, we introduce the Locality-Aware Diffusion (Lad), a novel method tailored for exquisite 3D abdominal CT volume generation. We design a locality loss to refine crucial anatomical regions and devise a condition extractor to integrate abdominal priori into generation, thereby enabling the generation of large quantities of high-quality abdominal CT volumes essential for SSL tasks without the need for additional data such as labels or radiology reports. Volumes generated through our method demonstrate remarkable fidelity in reproducing abdominal structures, achieving a decrease in FID score from 0.0034 to 0.0002 on AbdomenCT-1K dataset, closely mirroring authentic data and surpassing current methods. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in self-supervised organ segmentation tasks, resulting in an improvement in mean Dice scores on two abdominal datasets effectively. These results underscore the potential of synthetic data to advance self-supervised learning in medical image analysis. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
