Due to the decentralized and public nature of the blockchain ecosystem, malicious activities on the Ethereum platform impose immeasurable losses on users. At the same time, the transparency of cryptocurrency transactions provides a unique opportunity to analyze illegal activities, such as phishing scams, from a network perspective. Most existing phishing scam detection methods focus primarily on analyzing account interaction networks, which limits their ability to uncover transaction behavior patterns embedded within transaction interactions. To address this, we construct the Transaction SubGraph Network (TSGN) by using transaction subgraphs as basic elements and further propose a novel framework for Ethereum phishing account detection. Specifically, we rebuild the graph structures via three well-designed mapping mechanisms, yielding TSGN and its two variants, i.e., Directed-TSGN and Temporal-TSGN, to obtain direction-aware and time-aware transfer flow features. By further incorporating the mapping strategy into transaction multidigraphs, we develop the Multiple-TSGN, which could preserve more transaction flow features while concurrently reducing the time consumption of modeling large-scale networks. TSGN models based on transaction subgraph interactions can capture complex higher-order dependencies, which lay beyond the reach of models that exclusively capture pairwise account interactions. As a general framework, our model can incorporate various feature extraction methods to improve the performance of phishing detection. Extensive experimental results on Ethereum datasets show that our method achieves superior performance in phishing detection, yielding 3.27%∼6.71% relative improvement over previous state-of-the-art. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Over-the-air computation (AirComp) has emerged as an essential approach for enabling communication-efficient federated learning (FL) over wireless networks. Nonetheless, the inherent analog transmission mechanism in AirComp-based FL (AirFL) intensifies challenges posed by potential Byzantine attacks. In this paper, we propose a novel Byzantine-robust FL paradigm for over-the-air transmissions, referred to as federated learning with secure adaptive clustering (FedSAC). FedSAC aims to protect a portion of the devices from attacks through zero trust architecture (ZTA) based Byzantine identification and adaptive device clustering. By conducting a one-step convergence analysis, we theoretically characterize the convergence behavior with different device clustering mechanisms and uneven aggregation weighting factors for each device. Building upon our analytical results, we formulate a joint optimization problem for the clustering and weighting factors in each communication round. To facilitate the targeted optimization, we propose a dynamic Byzantine identification method using historical reputation based on ZTA. Furthermore, we introduce a sequential clustering method, transforming the joint optimization into a weighting optimization problem without sacrificing the optimality. To optimize the weighting, we capitalize on the penalty convex-concave procedure (P-CCP) to obtain a stationary solution. Numerical results substantiate the superiority of the proposed FedSAC over existing methods in terms of both test accuracy and convergence rate. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Novel WDM-PON architecture for simultaneous transmission of unicast data and multicast services

We propose a novel wavelength-division multiplexed passive optical network （WDM-PON） to simultaneously transmit unicast data and multicast services with upstream data re-modulation in optical network units （ONUs）. For each wavelength channel in the optical line terminal （OLT）, the downstream unicast data are applied to one arm of a dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator （DPMZM） to generate baseband unicast non-return-to-zero （NRZ） signal. A radio frequency （RF） control signal is applied to the other arm to present two un-modulated sidebands for multicast data modulation in a differential phase-shift keying （DPSK） format. The flexible and dynamic multicast services are realized by simply switching the RF control signal on or off. The proposed scheme is experimentally demonstrated with 1.25-Gb/s downstream unicast, multicast, and upstream data.

We analyze push and pull for data collection in wireless sensor networks. Most applications to date use the traditional push approach, where nodes transmit sensed data immediately to the sink. Using a pull approach, nodes store the data in their local flash memory, and only engage in communication during dedicated collection phases. We show how one can transform an existing push-based collection protocol into a pull-based one, and compare the power consumption of both approaches on a 35-node testbed. Our results show that substantial energy gains are possible with pull, provided that the application can tolerate a long latency. Copyright 2010 ACM.

We investigate to what extent flooding and routing is possible if the graph is allowed to change unpredictably at each time step. We study what minimal requirements are necessary so that a node may correctly flood or route a message in a network whose links may change arbitrarily at any given point, subject to the condition that the underlying graph is connected. We look at algorithmic constraints such as limited storage, no knowledge of an upper bound on the number of nodes, and no usage of identifiers. We look at flooding as well as routing to some existing specified destination and give algorithms. Copyright 2005 ACM.

Developing, testing, debugging, and evaluating communication protocols for low-power wireless networks is a long and cumbersome task. Simulators can be helpful in the early stages of development, but their models of hardware components and the wireless channel are often rather simplistic and hence cannot substitute experiments on real sensor node platforms. The resources available on common platforms are however very limited, and so are the possibilities for non-intrusive debugging and testing. With most existing testbeds it is only possible to collect information from the serial port, which requires adding highly intrusive logging statements that alter the timing behavior of the software running on the nodes. This is particularly detrimental to the operation of time-critical components, such as radio drivers, media access control (MAC) protocols, and certain flooding protocols [2], hindering their testbed-assisted development. When we use multicast services it? heterogeneous networks such that the wired networks and the wireless ad hoc networks are combined, it is inefficient to apply the wired overlay multicast protocol to wireless ad hoc network and vice versa, due to existence of mobility and the limitation of bandwidth, power and etc. With our best knowledge, several multicast gateways have been studied in order to integrate multicast between heterogeneous networks. Existing multicast gateways need protocol translations when a node wants to join for multicast group which is in different environmental networks. However, deploying translation functions to existing gateway causes another deployment problem. In this paper, we propose two cases to place a translation function. It can be located in wireless ad hoc nodes, wired end nodes with Rendezvous Point. We discuss and compare to each case and problem occurred, and analyze using performance metrics such as control overhead, join latency and stretch The control overhead is calculated by number of control messages. The more control messages are required when the translation function is in the wireless ad hoc network. The join latency is shorter when the translation function is in the wired network. Also, the stretch is better when the wireless nodes have translation function.

Global Optimal Output Regulation of Partially Linear Systems via Robust Adaptive Dynamic Programming

A non-model-based robust adaptive dynamic programming (RADP) approach is developed to solve the global optimal output regulation problem (GOORP) of partially linear systems with nonlinear dynamic uncertainties. By converting the output regulation problem into a global robust optimal stabilization problem, a robust optimal controller is designed by means of the RADP for the transformed system. Nonlinear small-gain theory is applied to conclude the global asymptotic stability for the closed-loop system and thus solves the original GOORP. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. © 2015

We propose a method for the sharing of capacity among zones of a communication network. Our approach can be employed either when a zone owner wishes to sell capacity for a specified period of time to a number of different zones, or when zones cooperate to build a network to be shared among themselves. We show how load balancing can be performed to mediate between rapidly fluctuating costs and the capacity of zone, which might be traded. Depending on the density of the zone, an important property of the process is that it, prevents zone from congestion. © 2005 IEEE.

Previous methods often utilize CLIP semantic classifiers with class names for zero-shot object counting. However, they ignore crucial density and depth knowledge for counting tasks. Thus, we propose a density-aware and depth-aware prompt counting model, which captures density information via learning density-aware prompts based on density-aware contrastive loss and incorporates depth guidance with predefined depth-aware prompts. To facilitate the training process, we design two strategies for standard counting loss and the contrastive loss, where the former prioritizes larger and sparser objects initially, gradually focusing on smaller and denser objects, and the latter adopts coarse-to-fine density learning. Besides, we construct a dataset named LVIS-372 with more real-world scenarios and balanced instance distribution compared to existing ones. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.
