Existing methods for Salient Object Detection in Optical Remote Sensing Images (ORSI-SOD) mainly adopt Convolutional Neural networks (CNNs) as the backbone, such as VGG and ResNet. Since CNNs can only extract features within certain receptive fields, most ORSI-SOD methods generally follow the local-to-contextual paradigm. In this paper, we propose a novel Global Extraction Local Exploration Network (GeleNet) for ORSI-SOD following the global-to-local paradigm. Specifically, GeleNet first adopts a transformer backbone to generate four-level feature embeddings with global long-range dependencies. Then, GeleNet employs a Direction-aware Shuffle Weighted Spatial Attention Module (D-SWSAM) and its simplified version (SWSAM) to enhance local interactions, and a Knowledge Transfer Module (KTM) to further enhance cross-level contextual interactions. D-SWSAM comprehensively perceives the orientation information in the lowest-level features through directional convolutions to adapt to various orientations of salient objects in ORSIs, and effectively enhances the details of salient objects with an improved attention mechanism. SWSAM discards the direction-aware part of D-SWSAM to focus on localizing salient objects in the highest-level features. KTM models the contextual correlation knowledge of two middle-level features of different scales based on the self-attention mechanism, and transfers the knowledge to the raw features to generate more discriminative features. Finally, a saliency predictor is used to generate the saliency map based on the outputs of the above three modules. Extensive experiments on three public datasets demonstrate that the proposed GeleNet outperforms relevant state-of-the-art methods. Mimic defense (MD) is a novel architecture which takes the dynamic and heterogeneous security of redundant executors, and prevents further attacks through multi-mode decision feedback mechanism. However, there is a lack of effective analysis and evaluation on the defense cost and risk of multi-mode decision output. In this paper, we proposed the idea of Bayesian decision-making with minimum risk combined with the failure probability of the executor and the output of multi-mode decision. After considering the impact of failed defense and defensive cost on strategy generation, the optimal cleaning strategy is designed to ensuring the validity of optimal strategy. Finally, simulation experiments confirm the effectiveness of the model.

Efficient and rapid identification of miRNA-21 may be conducive to the early diagnosis of prostate cancer. In this work, a label-free and highly sensitive optical fiber Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) biosensor was developed for detecting the miRNA-21, which was fabricated simply by coating a layer of Au film and AuNPs onto a multi-mode-single-mode-multi-mode (MSM) optical fiber, and then biofunctionalized with ssDNA enabling the quantification of miRNA-21. The working principle involves initiating the change of the effective refractive index (RI) around the optical fiber's surface, which was caused by nucleic acid hybridization between the ssDNA and the miRNA-21. As a result, the interaction would result in a noticeable shift of the SPR wavelengths in the transmission spectra. In the experiment, a substantial enhancement was exhibited in the RI sensitivity of the optical fiber sensor due to the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) coupling effect of AuNPs and the Au film, measuring approximately 3021.48 nm/RIU. Excitingly, the biosensors, which have a simple composition, were experimentally verified to have an ultra-low limit of detection (LOD) of 10-20 M, significantly lower than current detection methods. And trace miRNA-21 was enabled for detection without RNA amplification. The SPR sensors were also experimentally proved with excellent linearity, specificity and stability. When employed to detect the serum samples, the results indicated that the proposed sensors could brilliantly distinguish clinical patients with and without prostate cancer. Compared to the commonly used PSA quantification in clinical practice, the method developed in this work has higher detection accuracy. The proposed sensing platform processes the merits of simple configuration as well as low cost and may be applied for the precise diagnosis of prostate cancer. © 2025, The Authors. It is unclear whether socioeconomic factors affect the incidence of respiratory infectious diseases in China. This article uses generalized linear model and generalized additive model to analyze the relationship between socioeconomic factors and infectious diseases. Studies have shown that both models can reflect the relationship between socioeconomic factors and infectious diseases, but generalized additive model has better goodness of fit. Nationwide, considering the impact of a single economic and social factor on the incidence of respiratory infectious diseases, the GDP Per capita, age structure of population, local fiscal budgetary receipts and proportion of higher education have a significant impact on the incidence rate of five diseases (p © 2020 IEEE.

Developing trust in 5G network slicing is an important issue since as mobile networks evolve the number of internal components, network functions, and the use of virtualized elements increase. The current security practices that are based on a perimeter/defense-in-depth cybersecurity approach are proven to be ineffective to address the current and future cybersecurity challenges because they assume that everything on the inside of a network is trustworthy. One promising approach of growing significance in the telecom security sphere is the Zero-Trust (ZT) security model. This paper opens a new research direction for implementing a real-time ZT framework that enables trustworthy deployment and secure management of network slices in 5G open architecture.

This paper presents a multilayer slot-coupled bandpass filter based on integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW). The bandpass filter consists of two ISGW unit structures that are placed back-to-back. Source-load coupling is achieved by etching double rectangular slots on the common ground of the two ISGW unit structures that can achieve better filtering performance in addition to introduction of out-of-band transmission zeros. Simulation results show that a passband of the filter from 26.6 to 28 GHz, insertion loss of lower than 0.7 dB, and return loss of better than 20 dB. Two transmission zeros on both sides of the passband improve the frequency selectivity. © 2020 IEEE.

Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) has received increasing attention due to its capability of extending cell coverage by reflecting signals toward receivers. This paper considers a RIS-assisted high-speed train (HST) communication system to improve the coverage probability. We derive the closed-form expression of coverage probability. Moreover, we analyze impacts of some key system parameters, including transmission power, signal-to-noise ratio threshold, and horizontal distance between base station and RIS. Simulation results verify the efficiency of RIS-assisted HST communications in terms of coverage probability. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) has recently emerged as a promising technology in the 5G era. It is deemed an effective paradigm to support computation intensive and delay critical applications even at energy-constrained and computation-limited Internet of Things (IoT) devices. To effectively exploit the performance benefits enabled by MEC, it is imperative to jointly allocate radio and computational resources by considering non-stationary computation demands, user mobility, and wireless fading channels. This paper aims to study the tradeoff between energy efficiency (EE) and service delay for multi-user multi-server MEC-enabled IoT systems when provisioning offloading services in a user mobility scenario. Particularly, we formulate a stochastic optimization problem with the objective of minimizing the long-term average network EE with the constraints of the task queue stability, peak transmit power, maximum CPU-cycle frequency, and maximum user number. To tackle the problem, we propose an online offloading and resource allocation algorithm by transforming the original problem into several individual subproblems in each time slot based on Lyapunov optimization theory, which are then solved by convex decomposition and submodular methods. Theoretical analysis proves that the proposed algorithm can achieve a [O(1/V), O(V)] tradeoff between EE and service delay. Simulation results verify the theoretical analysis and demonstrate our proposed algorithm can offer much better EE-delay performance in task offloading challenges, compared to several baselines.
