As the mobile Internet is developing rapidly, people who use cell phones to access the Internet dominate, and the mobile Internet has changed the development environment of online public opinion and made online public opinion events spread more widely. In the online environment, any kind of public issues may become a trigger for the generation of public opinion and thus need to be controlled for network supervision. The method in this paper can identify entities from the event texts obtained from mobile Today's Headlines, People's Daily, etc., and informatize security of public opinion in event instances, thus strengthening network supervision and control in mobile, and providing sufficient support for national security event management. In this paper, we present a SW-BiLSTM-CRF model, as well as a model combining the RoBERTa pre-trained model with the classical neural network BiLSTM model. Our experiments show that this approach provided achieves quite good results on Chinese emergency corpus, with accuracy and F1 values of 87.21% and 78.78%, respectively.

Malware scanning of an app market is expected to be scalable and effective. However, existing approaches use syntax-based features that can be evaded by transformation attacks or semantic-based features which are usually extracted by expensive program analysis. Therefore, to address the scalability challenges of traditional heavyweight static analysis, we propose a graph-based lightweight approach MalScan for Android malware detection. MalScan considers the function call graph as a complex social network and employs centrality analysis on sensitive application program interfaces (APIs) to express the semantic characteristics of the graph. On this basis, machine learning algorithms and ensemble learning algorithms are applied to classify the extracted features. We evaluate MalScan on datasets of 104,892 benign apps and 108,640 malwares, and the results of experiments indicate that MalScan outperforms six state-of-the-art detectors and can quickly detect Android malware with an f-value as high as 99%. In addition, there are also significant improvements in the robustness of Android app evolution and robustness to obfuscation. Finally, we conduct an exhaustive statistical study of over one million applications in the Google-Play app market and successfully identify 498 zero-day malware, which further validates the feasibility of MalScan on market-wide malware scanning. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

5G technology is constrained by its higher frequency band and smaller coverage area, which leads to the need for operators to use technologies such as small cell base stations to increase the density of base station deployment to ensure signal coverage quality, which leads to more enormous construction costs. Therefore, it is urgent to find a safe and reliable solution that can use the existing public network to realize small cell base stations with automatic access. Based on this demand, we summarize various existing small cell base station automatic access technology solutions and their advantages and disadvantages while combing the characteristics of blockchain technology and its application solutions in similar scenarios. And then, we propose a new blockchain-based base station automatic access solution and implements the system in a practical scenario. In our solution, we innovatively introduce blockchain as an intermediate manager for small base stations and core networks, which solves traditional solutions requiring customized equipment while ensuring safety and reliability. It reduces costs and improves efficiency, but some problems are brought by the “decentralization” of blockchain waiting to be solved.

Computational music research plays a critical role in advancing music production, distribution, and understanding across various musical styles in the world. Despite the immense cultural and religious significance, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC) chants are relatively underrepresented in computational music research. This paper contributes to this field by introducing a new dataset specifically tailored for the analysis of EOTC chants, also known as Yaredawi Zema. This work provides a comprehensive overview of a 10-hour dataset, 369 instances, creation, and curation process, including rigorous quality assurance measures. Our dataset has a detailed word-level temporal boundary and reading tone annotation along with the corresponding chanting mode label of audios. Moreover, we have also identified the chanting options associated with multiple chanting notations in the manuscript by annotating them accordingly. Our goal in making this dataset available to the public1 is to encourage more research and study of EOTC chants, including lyrics transcription, lyric-to-audio alignment, and music generation tasks. Such research work will advance knowledge and efforts to preserve this distinctive liturgical music, a priceless cultural artifact for the Ethiopian people. © 2024, CC BY.

The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has rapidly spread all over the world since its first report in December 2019 and thoracic computed tomography (CT) has become one of the main tools for its diagnosis. In recent years, deep learning-based approaches have shown impressive performance in myriad image recognition tasks. However, they usually require a large number of annotated data for training. Inspired by Ground Glass Opacity (GGO), a common finding in COIVD-19 patient's CT scans, we proposed in this paper a novel self-supervised pretraining method based on pseudo lesions generation and restoration for COVID-19 diagnosis. We used Perlin noise, a gradient noise based mathematical model, to generate lesion-like patterns, which were then randomly pasted to the lung regions of normal CT images to generate pseudo COVID-19 images. The pairs of normal and pseudo COVID-19 images were then used to train an encoder-decoder architecture based U-Net for image restoration, which does not require any labelled data. The pretrained encoder was then fine-tuned using labelled data for COVID-19 diagnosis task. Two public COVID- 19 diagnosis datasets made up of CT images were employed for evaluation. Comprehensive experimental results demonstrated that the proposed self-supervised learning approach could extract better feature representation for COVID-19 diagnosis and the accuracy of the proposed method outperformed the supervised model pretrained on large scale images by 6.57% and 3.03% on SARS-CoV-2 dataset and Jinan COVID-19 dataset, respectively. © 2021, CC BY-NC-SA.

In this paper, continuous-time noncooperative games in networks of double-integrator agents are explored. The existing methods require that agents communicate with their neighbors in real time. In this paper, we propose two discrete-time communication schemes based on the designed continuous-time strategy-updating rule for the efficient use of communication resources. First, the property of the designed continuous-time rule is analyzed to ensure that all agents’ strategies can converge to the Nash equilibrium. Then, we propose periodic and event-triggered communication schemes for the implementation of the designed rule with discrete-time communication. The rule in the periodic case is implemented synchronously and easily. The rule in the event-triggered case is executed asynchronously without Zeno behaviors. All agents in both cases can asymptotically reach to the Nash equilibrium by interacting with neighbors at discrete times. Test of macroscopic realism (MR) is key to understanding the foundation of quantum mechanics. Due to the existence of the non-invasive measurability loophole and other interpretation loopholes, however, such test remains an open question. Here we propose a general inequality based on high-order correlations of measurements for a loophole-free test of MR at the weak signal limit. Importantly, the inequality is established using the statistics of raw data recorded by classical devices, without requiring a specific model for the measurement process, so its violation would falsify MR without the interpretation loophole. The non-invasive measurability loophole is also closed, since the weak signal limit can be verified solely by measurement data (using the relative scaling behaviors of different orders of correlations). We demonstrate that the inequality can be broken by a quantum spin model. The inequality proposed here provides an unambiguous test of the MR principle and is also useful to characterizing quantum coherence. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Spatiotemporal structured light has opened up new avenues for optics and photonics. Current spatiotemporal manipulation of light mostly relies on phase-only devices such as liquid crystal spatial light modulator to generate spatiotemporal optical fields with unique photonic properties. However, simultaneous manipulation of both amplitude and phase of the complex field for the spatiotemporal light is still lacking, limiting the diversity and richness of achievable photonic properties. In this work, a simple and versatile spatiotemporal holographic method that can arbitrarily sculpture the spatiotemporal light is presented. The capabilities of this simple yet powerful method are demonstrated through the generation of fundamental and higher-order spatiotemporal Bessel wavepacket, spatiotemporal crystal-like and quasi-crystal-like structures, and spatiotemporal flat-top wavepackets. Fully customizable spatiotemporal wavepackets will find broader application in investigating the dynamics of spatiotemporal fields and interactions between ultrafast spatiotemporal pulses and matters, unveiling previously hidden light-matter interactions and unlocking breakthroughs in photonics and beyond. © 2024, CC BY.
