The advancement of today's learning technology makes the learning process no longer fully bases on face to face learning, but can achieve by online learning. Online learning is not only useful in overcoming deficiencies in conventional classroom learning, but also a means to meet the learning styles of students who are less fond of and/or dislike face-to-face learning. On the other hand, the main disadvantage of online learning is the lack of face-to-face interaction, while the strength of face-to-face learning is the intensity of student interaction with teachers, the ease of cooperative learning and the clarity of learning materials. In turn, the superiorities on face-to-face learning and online self-learning can be acquired by blended learning. However, blended learning is a learning solution by taking the best advantage of face-to-face classroom learning and online learning. Blended learning has been a learning solution of today's learning. In this study, two blended learning that has different learning content portions between the portion of face-to-face learning materials and online self-learning was conducted to find out which blended learning results produce better pedagogy between two blended learning, and how well the learning outcomes of blended learning are, especially for Algorithm and programming subject. The research results showed the blended learning with 60% face-to-face learning content and 40% online self-learning content delivers learning cognitive competency outcomes worse than 40% face-to-face learning content and 60% online self-learning content. Photonic technologies continue to drive the quest for new optical materials with unprecedented responses. A major frontier in this field is the exploration of nonlocal (spatially dispersive) materials, going beyond the local, wavevector-independent assumption traditionally made in optical material modeling. On one end, the growing interest in plasmonic, polaritonic and quantum materials has revealed naturally occurring nonlocalities, emphasizing the need for more accurate models to predict and design their optical responses. This has major implications also for topological, nonreciprocal, and time-varying systems based on these material platforms. Beyond natural materials, artificially structured materials—metamaterials and metasurfaces–can provide even stronger and engineered nonlocal effects, emerging from long-range interactions or multipolar effects. This is a rapidly expanding area in the field of photonic metamaterials, with open frontiers yet to be explored. In the case of metasurfaces, in particular, nonlocality engineering has become a powerful tool for designing strongly wavevector-dependent responses, enabling enhanced wavefront control, spatial compression, multifunctional devices, and wave-based computing. Furthermore, nonlocality and related concepts play a critical role in defining the ultimate limits of what is possible in optics, photonics, and wave physics. This Roadmap aims to survey the most exciting developments in nonlocal photonic materials, highlight new opportunities and open challenges, and chart new pathways that will drive this emerging field forward–toward new scientific discoveries and technological advancements. Continuous glucose monitoring(CGM) technology has grown rapidly to track real-time blood glucose levels and trends with improved sensor accuracy. The ease of use and wide availability of CGM will facilitate safe and effective decision making for diabetes management. Here, we developed an attention-based deep learning model, CGMformer, pretrained on a well-controlled and diverse corpus of CGM data to represent individual's intrinsic metabolic state and enable clinical applications. During pretraining, CGMformer encodes glucose dynamics including glucose level, fluctuation, hyperglycemia, and hypoglycemia into latent space with self-supervised learning. It shows generalizability in imputing glucose value across five external datasets with different populations and metabolic states(MAE = 3.7 mg/d L). We then fine-tuned CGMformer towards a diverse panel of downstream tasks in the screening of diabetes and its complications using task-specific data, which demonstrated a consistently boosted predictive accuracy over direct fine-tuning on a single task(AUROC = 0.914 for type 2 diabetes(T2D) screening and 0.741 for complication screening). By learning an intrinsic representation of an individual's glucose dynamics,CGMformer classifies non-diabetic individuals into six clusters with elevated T2D risks, and identifies a specific cluster with lean body-shape but high risk of glucose metabolism disorders, which is overlooked by traditional glucose measurements. Furthermore, CGMformer achieves high accuracy in predicting an individual's postprandial glucose response with dietary modelling(Pearson correlation coefficient = 0.763)and helps personalized dietary recommendations. Overall, CGMformer pretrains a transformer neural network architecture to learn an intrinsic representation by borrowing information from a large amount of daily glucose profiles, and demonstrates predictive capabilities fine-tuned towards a broad range of downstream applications, holding promise for the ear

Cryptography is the science and art of maintaining the security of messages when messages are sent from one place to another. One of the ways securing the form of text message information is by the encryption process using the Vigenere Cipher algorithm and utilizing the One Time Pad (OTP) algorithm as a key generator, where the message will be random when it is opened. The message encryption process used the vigenere cipher algorithm while OTP is used to secure the key with the same formula. After this research has been done, an application was designed to secure text messages by converting the text message into a random message so that the message was unreadable due to a secret message that could not be known by others. The results achieved can secure an encrypted message that cannot be reopened and if those messages were reopened, they must be decrypted. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Augmented Reality is a technology that aims to combine digital content made by computers with the real world in real time. Augmented Reality can be applied in almost all areas of life. One of the applications is in the field of providing information. The publication of registration flow for entrance examination at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya is still using paper media that makes it less interesting on the prospective applicants. Therefore it requires an application based on android to implement the information distribution of registration flow for entrance examination at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya. This augmented reality application consists of two menus namely information menu and location menu. Information menu contains motion graphic video of registration flow for entrance examination at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya and location menu contains 3d object of entrance examination at State Polytechnic registration buildings. The research method is divided into several stages, namely design, asset creation, implementation and testing. At the testing stage is divided into two, namely application testing by testing the functionality of the features provided by the application and testing of respondents to determine the effectiveness of registration flow at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya compared to paper media seen in the respondent's answer of 88.7%.

Objective: Mobile nutrition applications (apps) provide a simple way for individuals to record their diet, but the validity and inherent errors need to be carefully evaluated. The aim of this study was to assess the validity and clarify the sources of measurement errors of image-assisted mobile nutrition apps. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with 98 students recruited from School of Nutrition and Health Sciences, Taipei Medical University. A 3-d nutrient intake record by Formosa Food and Nutrient Recording App (FoodApp) was compared with a 24-h dietary recall (24-HDR). A two-stage data modification process, manual data cleaning, and reanalyzing of prepackaged foods were employed to address inherent errors. Nutrient intake levels obtained by the two methods were compared with the recommended daily intake (DRI), Taiwan. Paired t test, Spearman's correlation coefficients, and Bland–Altman plots were used to assess agreement between the FoodApp and 24-HDR. Results: Manual data cleaning identified 166 food coding errors (12%;stage 1), and 426 food codes with missing micronutrients (32%) were reanalyzed (stage 2). Positive linear trends were observed for total energy and micronutrient intake (all P_trend < 0.05) after the two stages of data modification, but not for dietary fat, carbohydrates, or vitamin D. There were no statistical differences in mean energy and macronutrient intake between the FoodApp and 24-HDR, and this agreement was confirmed by Bland–Altman plots. Spearman's correlation analyses showed strong to moderate correlations (r = 0.834 ∼ 0.386) between the two methods. Participants’ nutrient intake tended to be lower than the DRI, but no differences in proportions of adequacy/inadequacy for DRI values were observed between the two methods. Conclusions: Mitigating errors significantly improved the accuracy of the Formosa FoodApp, indicating its validity and reliability as a self-reporting mobile-based dietary assessment tool. The research on signal processing of syllables sound signal is still the challenging tasks, due to non-stationary, speaker-dependent, variable context, and dynamic nature factor of the signal. In the process of classification using multi-layer perceptron (MLP), the process of selecting a suitable parameter of hidden neuron and hidden layer is crucial for the optimal result of classification. This paper presents a speech signal classification method by using MLP with various numbers of hidden-layer and hidden-neuron for classifying the Indonesian Consonant-Vowel (CV) syllables signal. Five feature sets were generated by using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Renyi Entropy, Autoregressive Power Spectral Density (AR-PSD) and Statistical methods. Each syllable was segmented at a certain length to form a CV unit. The results show that the average recognition of WRPSDS with 1, 2, and 3 hidden layers were 74.17%, 69.17%, and 63.03%, respectively. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

BigNeuron is an open community bench-testing platform with the goal of setting open standards for accurate and fast automatic neuron tracing. We gathered a diverse set of image volumes across several species that is representative of the data obtained in many neuroscience laboratories interested in neuron tracing. Here, we report generated gold standard manual annotations for a subset of the available imaging datasets and quantified tracing quality for 35 automatic tracing algorithms. The goal of generating such a hand-curated diverse dataset is to advance the development of tracing algorithms and enable generalizable benchmarking. Together with image quality features, we pooled the data in an interactive web application that enables users and developers to perform principal component analysis, t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding, correlation and clustering, visualization of imaging and tracing data, and benchmarking of automatic tracing algorithms in user-defined data subsets. The image quality metrics explain most of the variance in the data, followed by neuromorphological features related to neuron size. We observed that diverse algorithms can provide complementary information to obtain accurate results and developed a method to iteratively combine methods and generate consensus reconstructions. The consensus trees obtained provide estimates of the neuron structure ground truth that typically outperform single algorithms in noisy datasets. However, specific algorithms may outperform the consensus tree strategy in specific imaging conditions. Finally, to aid users in predicting the most accurate automatic tracing results without manual annotations for comparison, we used support vector machine regression to predict reconstruction quality given an image volume and a set of automatic tracings.

Traffic signs are important markers in two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. However, there is a change in direction or arrangement on the road that cannot be opened on a map which can cause incorrect information, which can cause traffic jams. In this journal the author uses a camera mounted on a car that provides a solution for drivers who issue problems that occur on the road that show directions or arrangements that are not directly updated using the HOG and MMOD methods. HOGs and MMODs are methods that can refute objects well, and move images and will be recognized immediately. The information received can be sent directly to an electronic map so that it can be accessed automatically by the driver's information and assistance and other information finds the right path, so that it can help the driver and can avoid traffic jams.
