This study presents the development of ultra-thin azo-dye polarizers, notable for their minimal thickness (100-200 nm) and superior optical performance, with polarization efficiency exceeding 99.9%, extinction ratios above 4000, transmittance over 45.3%, and dichoric ratio over 100. Utilizing cost-effective solution-processing methods, we fabricate these high-performance polarizers and determine optimal experimental conditions for peak efficacy. Our research includes comprehensive Scanning Electron Microscopy analyses to understand the microstructural properties of these azo-dye thin film polarizers, contributing significantly to the field of advanced display technologies.
