Many economically essential crops in Indonesia (such as coffee, tea, chocolate, or copra) require storage or drying under certain environmental conditions, especially temperature and humidity. The solar dryer dome, typically used for agricultural purposes in Indonesia, produces a sufficient amount of heat to increase the evaporation rate inside the dome and reduce the moisture content of the commodity. A hybrid solar dryer accompanied by a photovoltaic panel, fan, and ventilation system is generally suitable. The system can provide an optimum environment with minimum control. However, as the outdoor temperature and humidity change dramatically, such as at night time, more control is required. Based on Industry 4.0 technologies, we have developed a new kind of hybrid solar dryer that provides an optimum environment 24/7. The system, called Smart Dome 4.0, is an intelligent, low-cost, self-sufficient drying and storage system to support Indonesia Agriculture 4.0. The system has a local power generation unit to self-sustain the required energy and operate without connecting to the electricity grid. The system utilizes a machine-learning algorithm to predict the environmental condition and optimally uses self-generated electric power. The developed Smart Dome 4.0 technology is critical to producing a sustainable solar dome under drastic environmental dynamics. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Early detection of stem base rot disease in oil palm is a considerable challenge in plantation management, given that the early symptoms of the disease are difficult to identify visually. This research develops a drone-based detection system using the Pi NoIR V2 camera and NIR image analysis, supported by the Mamdani fuzzy method for data interpretation. The dataset consists of 70 oil palm trees selected based on the variation of image conditions captured by the camera, the data taken for analysis at a height of 50 meters above the ground to produce a precise image. This research fills a gap in the automatic detection of stem base rot disease, with novelty in the integration of drone technology, NIR analysis, and fuzzy logic. NDVI and reflectance analysis of the captured images enabled classification of tree health, with results showing the difference between healthy and disease-indicated trees.

Recently, cooking oil has been widely discussed on social media. Many people ask how to analyze this phenomenon, one of which is using a sentiment analysis application on Twitter that performs a scientific analysis of the tweets of this media user. This study aims to test the performance of the sentiment analysis algorithm utilizing the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) algorithm from Twitter, which is used to classify the types of tweets processed in 2000 tweets. The study shows the results of the confusion matrix, accuracy, and precision. The study obtained a fairly good accuracy and precision performance of 84%, which occurred at a learning rate of 1e-6 and epoch 5. The author also discusses the factors that affect the performance of BERT, such as;pre-processing, data quantity, and data variation. © 2022 IEEE.

IIOF: Intra- and Inter-feature orthogonal fusion of local and global features for music emotion recognition

In this paper, we propose intra- and inter-feature orthogonal fusion (IIOF) of local and global features obtained from MS-SincResNet or MS-SSincResNet (a variant of MS-SincResNet) for music emotion recognition (MER). Given a raw waveform of music signal, MS-SincResNet/MS-SSincResNet is first used to learn several 2D representations having different receptive fields and obtain embeddings with time-frequency information from different layers. Then, local and global features are extracted from these embeddings. IIOF consisting of intra-feature OF and inter-feature OF is further employed to integrate both local and global features to obtain a discriminative descriptor for MER. The intra-feature OF is used to enhance the diversity of the global feature, and the inter-feature OF is utilized to reduce redundancies and produce complementary information between local and global features. The experimental results have demonstrated that the representation discriminability can be enhanced by IIOF considering the feature orthogonality. Furthermore, extensive experimental results have shown that the proposed method outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in terms of regression and classification tasks on the well-known MER datasets, including the DEAM dataset and the PMEmo dataset. An accurate predictive model of temperature and humidity plays a vital role in many industrial processes that utilize a closed space such as in agriculture and building management. With the exceptional performance of deep learning on time-series data, developing a predictive temperature and humidity model with deep learning is propitious. In this study, we demonstrated that deep learning models with multivariate time-series data produce remarkable performance for temperature and relative humidity prediction in a closed space. In detail, all deep learning models that we developed in this study achieve almost perfect performance with an R value over 0.99.

Capacitance-to-voltage conversion is essential for capacitive sensors in various industries, including touch interfaces, medical devices, and moisture measurement. However, circuit design faces challenges like non-linearity, noise, and small capacitance variations affecting voltage signals. This article proposes a phase-locked loop in free-running oscillator mode with a frequency-to-voltage converter to enhance accuracy and stability. Test results show a 97.9% measurement accuracy, demonstrating reduced noise and improved stability. The proposed circuit is ideal for high-precision applications in diverse environments, overcoming limitations of traditional methods. © 2025 IEEE.

The development of the internet is getting faster, participating in encouraging the emergence of new and innovative information. In filtering the various information that appears, we need a recommended system to perform well for users in today's internet era. A well-performing recommendation system in question is a reliable recommendation algorithm. This algorithm is fundamental to analyzing various information, such as responses on social media based on user behavior data related to the topic of COVID. This data is crawled from tweets on social media Twitter. The data analysis algorithm obtained uses Python, which is then visualized in the form of a diagram. The processed data is user comments on Twitter, and the text data is analyzed using Python, using more than 60000 data sets taken to form visualizations and conclusions. From sentiment analysis, polarity and subjectivity data are obtained to be analyzed, which are negative, neutral, or positive. The result is show positive tweets with 29.2%, negative tweets is 13%, and 57.8% neutral tweets. Lastly, sentiment analysis can help people effectively infer vast and complex data from social media like Twitter. © 2022 IEEE.

Production losses of agricultural commodities on agricultural land due to product defects depend on the level of pest and disease attacks. Defects cause the product not to be harvested or rejected by the market. Data from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021 shows the percentage of defective products for this commodity is 5%. This study aims to detect defects in agricultural products using image processing and artificial neural networks. We used the screening threshold method with potato research samples from Dieng, Indonesia. The study results for spot defects showed that from 100 training data, there were five incorrect identification data, so the accuracy of the training process was 95%. At the same time, the hole defect accuracy is better, which is 97%. It shows that defects in agricultural commodities can be detected using this method. For further research, the development of agricultural product sorting can combine sorting techniques with this method. © 2022 IEEE.

The Neural Networks (NN) model which is incorporated in the control system design has been studied, and the results show better performance than the mathematical model approach. However, some studies consider that only offline NN model learning and does not use the online NN model learning directly on the control system. As a result, the controller's performance decreases due to changes in the system environment from time to time. The Reinforcement Learning (RL) method has been investigated intensively, especially Model-based RL (Mb-RL) to predict system dynamics. It has been investigated and performs well in making the system more robust to environmental changes by enabling online learning. This paper proposes online learning of local dynamics using the Mb-RL method by utilizing Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model. We consider Model Predictive Control (MPC) scheme as an agent of the Mb-RL method to control the regulatory trajectory objectives with a random shooting policy to search for the minimum objective function. A nonlinear Mass Spring Damper (NMSD) system with parameter-varying linear inertia is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The simulation results show that the system can effectively control high-oscillating nonlinear systems with good performance. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.
