Foreign Exchange market is the world's largest daily currency turnover. Two of the popular currencies Euro and Pound sterling traded against the US Dollar. Since the Russia and Ukraine war started in February 2022, their exchange rates decrease to the lowest rate ever. Even though the general trend is bearish, several daily candles increase for some days making challenges for forex analysts. To solve this problem, classification is applied. The data is labeled downward and upward. By utilizing Linear Kernel and Radial Basis Function (RBF) Kernel-based Support Vector Machines (SVM), the candle direction can be classified and optimized by tuning the Hyperparameters. The accuracy of candle direction classifications are highly improved. After tuning, in general, classification using Linear Models can outperform RBF Models. The best accuracy found on the Pound sterling against US Dollar by using the Linear model is 98.11% and the accuracy becomes 100% on data testing at a ratio of 70:30. Whilst for the Euro against the US Dollar, the best accuracy found the same for both Linear and RBF models on a ratio of 80:20 at 97.53%. However, on data testing, it decreases to 94.51% for Linear Model and 93.41% using RBF Model. The implication of this study is SVM can successfully classify candle direction on pairs in the Forex Market that are affected by a big event that comes for such a long period as long as the hyperparameter is tuned. © 2022 IEEE.

Since the emergence of Pokémon Go in 2016, the world has been introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) games. Many IT companies have begun developing augmented reality (AR) games due to the great commercial potential in this industry. Certain products may have managed to remain viable in the market, while others were forced to close due to one or two factors. Since the emergence of Pokémon Go, no other game has managed to surpass its unprecedented success. The company responsible for developing Pokémon Go has decided to shut down one of their games due to a lack of consumer interest. The technology of augmented reality (AR) is consistently associated with the concept of immersion. Immersion is a key aspect of the game that allows users to deeply engage and feel fully involved in the experience. This study will employ a quantitative methodology, utilising a questionnaire that will be distributed to and completed by those who have engaged in augmented reality (AR) games. The data will be analysed using Smart PLS to examine the impact of user experience on immersion, which in turn influences intention. After gathering over 200 participants by spreading google form questionnaires and doing data analysis, the findings indicate that only a few aspects of user experience, namely Brand Experience and User Need Experience, have an impact on reasons. Niantic, the developer of Pokémon Go, was unable to replicate their success with a similar augmented reality game called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The initial release occurred on June 21, 2019, and the shutdown took place on December 21, 2021. In the beginning, they shown a profound enthusiasm for the game but were unable to sustain it, much as Pokémon Go. According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, the primary reason for the game's shutdown was its immersion. In recent years, hazardous gases emission from fossil fuels has attracted public concerns due to its worse effects on the ecosystem and living conditions not only mankind but also all creatures living on earth. That's why solar energy has a vital role in alternative energy resources. Solar energy sources will gain more importance in the future. As it is known, the most needed type of energy today is electrical energy. Thus, in this study, the necessary conditions for the photovoltaic (PV) systems used in solar energy production to operate at maximum performance and which parameters are required to control these conditions are examined. The results show that four parameters that we need to measure. These are: maximum operating current of a panel/cell (Impp), maximum operating voltage of a panel/cell (Vmpp), panel surface temperature and light intensity falling on the panel. Except for the panel surface temperature, the rest of the parameters can be measured directly. However, affecting the panel surface temperature;we must not ignore parameters such as ambient temperature, wind speed, humidity and light intensity. Therefore, while determining the panel surface temperature, these parameters should also be measured and a surface temperature should be determined accordingly. © 2022 IEEE.

For Cardio-thoracic technology education program, the focus is on teaching pathophysiology, as well as the interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECG), through case studies. The curriculum includes instruction on treatment options and the use of electrophysiology studies (EP studies) for tachycardia and cardiac ablation. A portion of e-learning resources for ECGs and EP studies are delivered via web-based platforms. However, to date, there have been no e-learning platforms that combine instruction on pathological ECGs, EP study, cardiac ablation, or simulations of EP which would provide a more comprehensive learning experience for students. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to create the electrophysiology study simulator program (EPSSIM), which serves as an e-learning platform for EP studies and ECG. The development started with gathering information about ECG from the medical records of patients at a public hospital. MATLAB was used to generate synthetic heart signals. Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 was used to construct the EPSSIM program. A total of 47 cardio-thoracic technology students who used the program completed a pre-test and post-test and questionnaires. The effectiveness and satisfaction of the EPSSIM program were evaluated. The results showed that participants' scores improved, but the improvement was restricted due to the short time that the students were able to use the system. The participants who completed the satisfaction survey generally indicated satisfaction with the effectiveness of EPSSIM. Overall, the use of the application was beneficial and the application could be successfully used in future to enhance users knowledge.

This article proposes StrawberryTalk, an Internet of Things (IoT) platform for image-based strawberry disease detection. StrawberryTalk reuses the wall-mounted monitoring cameras without extra hardware cost. The contributions of StrawberryTalk are the utilization of IoT for automatic photo shoot and the wind detection mechanism to eliminate the obscure photos due to the wind effects. Also, the data preprocessing and the infection detection models are manipulated as IoT devices to simplify the implementation of the multicascade artificial intelligence (AI) models. We derive the relationship between the camera zoom factor and the distance between the camera and the strawberries for optimal disease detection. Accuracy of detection may be affected by obscure photos. In terms of eliminating obscure photos due to wind effect, we analytically derive the relationship between the wind alert delay and the number of obscure photos that must be retaken. For the greenhouses in the Bao Mountain, we only need to retake one photo. Based on the experiments, the mean average precision (mAP) of StrawberryTalk (to detect exact spots in a leaf) can be up to 92.37%, which is better than the previous approaches. To detect if a pot has infected leaves, the accuracy of StrawberryTalk can be up to 97.92% at the zoom factor 30×. In commercial operation, it is important to detect all infected strawberry pots. StrawberryTalk is able to detect all infected pots (i.e., recall is 100%) with a camera of zoom factor of 12× . The accuracy is 96.88%. © 2014 IEEE.

This research is an approach to intelligent vehicles with a LoRa communication system, LoRaWAN compatible for Long-Range and Outdoor Communication, but in this paper, we will test the ability of LoRa to handle autonomous vehicles, a Blind-Adaptive Data method will be tried on vehicles systems. The system offered is when the vehicle is running, the sensor will send position data in real-time, the number of vehicles is four, and GPS data is sent alternately using the Blind Adaptive Data Rate principle to avoid data collisions, and when the GPS shows a certain position, the value of SF is ascertained, which affects the data rate and ToA, and the output given is RSSI on each car, speed of a car, power consumption of sensor nodes, signal power, SNR, Bit rate or data rate, and sensitivity. With the Blind ADR principle, it is ensured that there is no data collision between car position data that causes packet loss. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper examines the reproducibility of massive information analytics under particular factors. The paper proposes the 'performing Scalable Inference' technique to cope with scalability troubles and to exploit current big statistics platforms for efficient computing and statistics garage of the statistics. In particular, the paper describes how to perform leak-free, parallelizable visible analytics over massive datasets using present extensive records analytics frameworks such as Apache Flink. This method presents an automated manner to execute analytics that preserves reproducibility and the ability to make adjustments without re-running the entire technique. The paper also demonstrates how these analytics may help several real-world use instances, explore affected person cohorts for studies, and develop stratified patient cohorts for hospital therapy. In the end, the paper observes how the proposed method may be exercised within the real world. Actively scalable inference for massive information analytics is pivotal in optimizing decision-making and allocation of assets. Typically, such inferences are made based on information accumulated from numerous sources, databases, unstructured data, and different digital sources. So one can ensure scalability, a complete cloud-primarily based platform has to be hired. This solution will permit the ***, deploying the essential records series and evaluation algorithms are prime here. It could permit the platform to recognize the styles inside the statistics and discover any ability correlations or traits. Additionally, predictive analytics and system mastering strategies may be incorporated to provide insights into the results of the information. In the long run, by leveraging those techniques, the platform can draw efficient inferences and appropriately compare situations in an agile and green way.. © 2023 IEEE.

With the current alarming exponential increase in global energy demand chiefly due to population growth, electrification, and the issues associated with fossil generation, utilities are reinvesting their returns in alternative ways of clean power generation. Although, finding alternative ways to provide clean energy and to advance the power grid are of the main interest globally, many countries face power theft as a frequent problem. in Ghana, power losses in the distribution system cost the nation over a billion Ghana Cedis in the country's total annual revenue, of which power theft plays a predominant role. This paper presents an electricity theft mitigation technique through a programmable smart energy meter. The proposed method is such that interruptions are added to the smart energy meters in order to detect input signals from an added current sensor placed at the terminal point of the service line, from where in-between the sensor and the meter, illegal connections are made. The proposed Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system will provide smart services, including calculating consumed energy in kWh and generating a bill sent to the utility station. After which, the AMI system will disconnect the power supply from the meter.

Price and quality level of products are two important decisions of any business. This paper provides equilibrium solutions for these decisions of two players for a cybersecurity ecosystem, including a solution provider and an information provider. We assume that end users join a cybersecurity ecosystem based on the prices and qualities of the solution provider’s and information provider’s products;so that, the increasing of the prices or/and decreasing the qualities will reduce the number of end-users of that ecosystem. Also, it is assumed that there is an exogenous information-sharing program under which the effect of quality of the information provider’s product on the cybersecurity level depends on the level of information-sharing. Under this information-sharing program, the equilibrium solutions of prices and qualities of these two players are given. Virtual reality has become a new option to inform the customers about product before purchasing. However, providing virtual reality may create new challenges. For instance, consumers may obtain essential information about products by using virtual reality option, but eventually they buy their products from the offline channel. This phenomenon is called webrooming. Another challenge is cyber-attacks. E-tailers and their consumers face risks from cyber-attacks. Thus, e-tailers are investing to improve cybersecurity. We consider a dual-channel supply chain consisting of an offline retailer and an e-tailer who purchase the same product from a manufacturer at the same wholesale price. The e-tailer offers a partial refund policy in order to attract the customers. Also, to reduce consumer valuation uncertainty, the e-tailer faces the decision on whether to introduce virtual reality. We analyze three scenarios. Firstly, the e-tailer does not offer virtual reality. Secondly, the e-tailer offers virtual reality, but he does not invest on cybersecurity.
