Combinatorial interaction testing (CIT) is a useful testing technique to ad- dress the interaction of input parameters in software systems. In many ap- plications, the technique has been used as a systematic sampling technique to sample the enormous possibilities of test cases. In the last decade, most of the research activities focused on the generation of CIT test suites as it is a computationally complex problem. Although promising, less effort has been paid for the application of CIT. In general, to apply the CIT, practitioners must identify the input parameters for the software-under-test (SUT), feed these parameters to the CIT tool to generate the test suite, and then run those tests on the application with some pass and fail criteria for verification. Using this approach, CIT is used as a black-box testing technique without knowing the effect of the internal code. Although useful, practically, not all the parameters having the same impact on the SUT. This paper intro- duces a different approach to use the CIT as a gray-box testing technique by considering the internal code structure of the SUT to know the impact of each input parameter and thus use this impact in the test generation stage. We applied our approach to five reliable case studies. The results showed that this approach would help to detect new faults as compared to the equal impact parameter approach. The article deals with the problems of speed and timeliness of the development of control actions from digital management systems. Generalization of researches is given. The role of mathematical applications of game theory for the role in the implementation of fog and boundary computations in the paradigm of the development of digital signal processing systems as well as their optimization value are substantiated.A particular generalization is developed and is given from the processing of an encoded signal sequence that demonstrates the operation of a humidity sensor from the viewpoint of bringing it to the basis of an antagonistic game in order to determine the optimal strategy of the device's behaviour at a given time *** practical significance of the study is confirmed by a new approach to the implementation of economic methods for analysis of probabilistic outcomes within the framework of game theory in an algorithm for analysis of a digital signal for a linear comparator of recorded physical quantities in the form of digital levels. The value of such analysis metrics in network-centric distributed systems of the Internet of things in multiplexing environments is given.

Modal regression based structured low-rank matrix recovery for multi-view learning

Low-rank Multi-view Subspace Learning (LMvSL) has shown great potential in cross-view classification in recent years. Despite their empirical success, existing LMvSL based methods are incapable of well handling view discrepancy and discriminancy simultaneously, which thus leads to the performance degradation when there is a large discrepancy among multi-view data. To circumvent this drawback, motivated by the block-diagonal representation learning, we propose Structured Low-rank Matrix Recovery (SLMR), a unique method of effectively removing view discrepancy and improving discriminancy through the recovery of structured low-rank matrix. Furthermore, recent low-rank modeling provides a satisfactory solution to address data contaminated by predefined assumptions of noise distribution, such as Gaussian or Laplacian distribution. However, these models are not practical since complicated noise in practice may violate those assumptions and the distribution is generally unknown in advance. To alleviate such limitation, modal regression is elegantly incorporated into the framework of SLMR (term it MR-SLMR). Different from previous LMvSL based methods, our MR-SLMR can handle any zero-mode noise variable that contains a wide range of noise, such as Gaussian noise, random noise and outliers. The alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) framework and half-quadratic theory are used to efficiently optimize MR-SLMR. Experimental results on four public databases demonstrate the superiority of MR-SLMR and its robustness to complicated noise. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Generator is a critical asset in the power system. The reliable operation of a generator mostly depends on the condition of stator winding insulation; hence, performing a periodic diagnostic test and finding a health index of generator insulation has become mandatory. In this paper, effort has been made to compute a health index of generator winding insulation using a scoring and weighting method. Three levels of score are assigned against each dielectric diagnostic test conducted on a stator winding. The score is given after framing an acceptance criteria referring relevant standards. The weight of each test is calculated using analytical hierarchy process. Diagnostic test used for this approach includes insulation resistance, polarization index, dissipation factor (tan δ) test, capacitance test, DC ramp test, and partial discharge test. Visual inspection of a stator winding is also included. The test results of 12 in-service hydro generators with class F insulation, commissioned between 1999 and 2006 in Bhutan are applied in the study. After computing a health index, it is concluded that the condition of winding insulation in all 12 hydro generators are remaining satisfactory.

False Trajectory Privacy Protection Scheme Based on Location Service

When the user applies for a location continuous query service, the user location privacy may be revealed due to different types of trajectory identification. A false trajectory privacy protection scheme is proposed, which uses the real-time generation of similar trajectories to protect the user's personal location privacy. The false location set is established by initial anonymous location selection, similar trajectory location calculation and generated location selection. The false location is used to form a false trajectory similar to the real location trajectory, which reduces the probability of attacker identification and achieves real-time trajectory anonymity based on location service. Finally, the effectiveness of the scheme is verified by performance analysis and experimental results.

In this paper, we investigate the energy-efficient hybrid precoding design for integrated multicast-unicast millimeter wave (mmWave) system, where the simultaneous wireless information and power transform is considered at receivers. We adopt two sparse radio frequency chain antenna structures at the base station (BS), i.e., fully-connected and subarray structures, and design the codebook-based analog precoding according to the different structures. Then, we formulate a joint digital multicast, unicast precoding and power splitting ratio optimization problem to maximize the energy efficiency of the system, while the maximum transmit power at the BS and minimum harvested energy at receivers are considered. Due to its difficulty to directly solve the formulated problem, we equivalently transform the fractional objective function into a subtractive form one and propose a two-loop iterative algorithm to solve it. For the outer loop, the classic Bi-section iterative algorithm is applied. For the inner loop, we transform the formulated problem into a convex one by successive convex approximation techniques and propose an iterative algorithm to solve it. Meanwhile, to reduce the complexity of the inner loop, we develop a zero forcing (ZF) technique-based low complexity iterative algorithm. Specifically, the ZF technique is applied to cancel the inter-unicast interference and the first order Taylor approximation is used for the convexification of the non-convex constraints in the original problem. Finally, simulation results are provided to compare the performance of the proposed algorithms under different schemes. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Learning the optimally coordinated routes from the statistical mechanics of polymers

Many major cities suffer from severe traffic congestion. Road expansion in the cites is usually infeasible, and an alternative way to alleviate traffic congestion is to coordinate the route of vehicles. Various path selection and planning algorithms are thus proposed, but most existing methods only plan paths separately and provide un-coordinated solutions. Recently, an analogy between the coordination of vehicular routes and the interaction of polymers is drawn;the spin glass theory in statistical physics is employed to optimally coordinate transportation routes. To further examine the advantages brought by path coordination, we incorporate the link congestion function developed by the Bureau of Public Roads (BPR) into the polymer routing algorithm. We then estimate in simulations the traveling time of all users saved by the polymer-BPR algorithm in randomly generated networks and real transportation networks in major cities including London, New York and Beijing. We found that a large amount of traveling time is saved in all studied networks, suggesting that the approach inspired by polymer physics is effective in minimizing the traveling time via path coordination, which is a promising tool for alleviating traffic congestions. Nowadays, the h-index is an index that attempts to measure both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar. The index is based upon the set of the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other publications. Besides, the most commonly used measure of journal quality is Impact Factor. This is a number which attempts to measure the impact of a journal in terms of the average number of citations to recent articles published in the journal. So, receiving more citation is very important for authors and journals to get high h-index and impact factor. In this paper, we tried to analyses the effect of the number of available version from the web on receive more citations. We analyzed 10162 papers which are published in Scopus database in year 2010. Once a fitness fad, wearable and other related Internet of Things (IoT) devices are fast becoming common place in many different smart city applications such as healthcare. However, IoT devices, particularly inexpensive devices, often trade security and privacy for usability. One solution to protect privacy in the healthcare domain which has begun to be explored is blockchain-based technology. However, there are a number of limitations underpinning the use of blockchain, which limits its adoption particularly in applications that require low energy and computational footprints. In this paper, we present a transactional protocol for remote patient monitoring using directed acyclic graphs. We use a newer blockchain protocol called GHOSTDAG in both a public blockchain and a private blockchain. Our novel proposed solution aims to resolve known security issues for healthcare, without affecting scalability (a feature of classic blockchain architecture). © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.

A crucial problem in post-flood recovery actions is the ability to rapidly establish communication and collaboration among rescuers to conduct timely and effective search and rescue (SAR) mission given disrupted telecommunication infrastructure to support the service. Aimed at providing such proximity service (ProSe) for mission-critical data exchange in the post-flood environment, the majority of existing solutions rely heavily upon ad-hoc networking approaches, which suffer from restricted communication range and the limited scope of interaction. As an effort to broaden the ProSe coverage and expand integrated global-local information exchange in the post-flood SAR activities, this paper proposes a novel network architecture in the form of a cyber-enabled mission-critical system (CEMCS) for acquiring and communicating post-flood emergency data by exploiting TV white space spectrum as network backhaul links. The primary method of developing the proposed system builds upon a layered architecture of wireless local, regional and wide-area communications, and incorporates collaborative network components among these layers. The desirable functionalities of CEMCS are showcased through formulation and the development of an efficient global search strategy exploiting a wide range of collaboration among network agents. The simulation results demonstrate the capability of CEMCS to provide ProSe in the post-flood scenarios as reflected by reliable network performance (e.g., packet delivery ratio nearing 80%–90%) and the optimality of efficient search algorithm. © 2017 Oxford University Press.
