Speech recognition systems use computer algorithms to interpret and process spoken words and translate them into text. Speech-to-text, or Speech detection, is the proficiency of a program or machine to find spoken words aloud and translate them into plain text. Speech detection systems are the most common complex systems that use wide-ranging research in computer engineering, linguistics, and computer science. In today's significant data era, several machine learning (ML) approaches for processing raw, unlabelled speech data still need to be improved. Deep learning (DL) models, on the other hand, with their powerful modelling ability for extensive data, are capable of directly processing unlabelled data and have become a crucial area of research in the domain of automated speech recognition. The DL model has recently gained popularity for voice disorders and automated speech detection. DL is an ML that exploits artificial neural networks (ANN) to gain meaningful insights from data. The DL approach demonstrated great success and achieved significant attention in different fields comprising speech processing, computer vision (CV), and natural language processing (NLP). Therefore, this article develops a Deep Learning with Natural Language Processing based Robust Speech Detection (DLNLP-RSD) technique. The DLNLP-RSD technique derives features from the mel-frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC) technique. Followed by the DLNLP-RSD technique employs a one-dimensional deep convolutional neural network (CNN) approach for the detection and classification of speech. Moreover, the parameter tuning model uses the grasshopper fractals optimization algorithm (GOA) approach. The performance evaluation of the proposed technique highlights its significant performance over other models concerning distinct measures. This paper studies the efficiency of training a statistical model among an edge server and multiple clients via Federated Learning (FL) - a machine learning method that preserves data privacy in the training process - over wireless networks. Due to unreliable wireless channels and constrained communication resources, the server can only choose a handful of clients for parameter updates during each communication round. To address this issue, analytical expressions are derived to characterize the FL convergence rate, accounting for key features from both communication and algorithmic aspects, including transmission reliability, scheduling policies, and momentum method. First, the analysis reveals that either delicately designed user scheduling policies or expanding higher bandwidth to accommodate more clients in each communication round can expedite model training in networks with reliable connections. However, these methods become ineffective when the connection is erratic. Second, it has been verified that incorporating the momentum method into the model training algorithm accelerates the rate of convergence and provides greater resilience against transmission failures. Last, extensive empirical simulations are provided to verify these theoretical discoveries and enhancements in performance. © 2023 CCBY.

Security is one of the key challenges in container orchestration, especially in complex environments. This paper explores the security aspects of implementing containerized applications using Docker within a Kubernetes cluster. The first part of the paper describes Docker, Kubernetes, and various ways of applying them within DevOps methodology. It then presents potential vulnerabilities during the implementation of these technologies, as well as vulnerabilities specific to Docker and Kubernetes. Subsequently, some solutions for securing a Kubernetes environment are described. © 2025 IEEE.

Perceiving scene depth and 3D structure is one of the key tasks for Internet of Video Things (IoVT) devices to understand and interact with the environment. Self-supervised monocular depth estimation has demonstrated significant potential in leveraging large-scale unlabeled datasets to achieve competitive performance, thereby playing an increasingly important role in depth estimation. Despite recent methods providing additional supervisory signals through self-distillation strategies to improve depth estimation, an effective method for generating pseudo-depth labels suitable for addressing occlusion issues among elements far from the camera remains unexplored. To address this limitation, we propose a Patch-based Self-Distillation Learning Framework to exploit the potential of self-supervised monocular depth estimation in recovering fine-grained scene depth. In the proposed framework, elements far from the camera within the input image are enlarged by enlarging and cropping operations in the patch-based self-distillation branch. Guided by photometric consistency, the model learns the detailed occlusion relationships among elements from the enlarged patches, producing patch depth maps with fine structures. In the main branch, which takes full-scale images as input, patch depth maps serve as pseudo-depth labels through self-distillation loss to provide additional supervisory signals for regions where photometric consistency fails to offer effective supervision. This forces the depth estimation network to recover fine structures of elements far from the camera in full-scale input images. Regarding the architecture of the depth estimation network, we introduce a bin-center prediction. In this prediction, a global aggregator based on self-attention provides additional scene structure queries for adaptive scene depth discretization. This paper introduces GLOW-ENV, an intelligent Internet of Everything (IoE)-driven mobile application designed with the objective of integrating real-time glucose monitoring data and environmental metrics to enhance diabetes care and management. The proposed IoE ecosystem integrates a continuous glucose monitoring with a personalized Artificial Intelligence model designed to predict glycemic fluctuations in a near-future. Additionally, GLOW-ENV integrates a rule-based recommendation system to dynamically adapt its suggestions based on contextual glucose and environmental data. Drought is an environmental and economic problem. Sustainable ecosystems, water resources, food security, and all are severely affected by drought. Due to the increasing frequency and severity of droughts caused by climate change. Effective drought modeling is crucial for early warning systems and risk mitigation. Recent advances in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques have been developed as potential drought modeling tools that offer accurate drought modeling, providing policymakers and decision-makers with insightful information. The geographical scope of this study is the region of South Asia. This region is selected because of its heavy reliance on agriculture and vulnerability to droughts. The review offers a thorough grasp of how drought conditions are evaluated by gathering and analyzing the most important drought indicators and metrics specific to South Asia. The paper explores the current state- of-the-art in ML and DL (Complex Machine learning and deep learning models) for drought modeling, highlighting current challenges such as incomplete and inconsistent datasets, Lack of explainability and interpretability in complex ML/DL models, unavailability of benchmarks. Based on these challenges, this review suggests the following techniques to address these challenges: Data integration (Data fusion), distributed machine learning (Federated Learning) and explainable AI (XAI, SHAP, LIME, etc.). © 2013 IEEE.

An independent industrial system may transform into a connected network through the assistance of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The deployed sensors in the IIoT maintain surveillance of the industrial machinery and equipment. As a result, safety and reliability emerge as the primary concerns in IIoT. This presents a variety of well-known and increasing issues related to the industrial system. The IIoT devices are exposed to a wide range of malware, threats, and assaults. To prevent the IIoT devices from malware effects, effective protection plans must be implemented. But adequate security mechanisms are not be incorporated in IIoT devices with limited resources. It is essential to ensure the accuracy and dependability of information gathered by IIoT devices. Decisions taken with incomplete or inaccurate data might be devastating. To overcome these difficulties deep learning with reinforcement learning for complex decision-making in industry applications is developed in this research work. In this developed model, an Adaptive Deep Reinforcement learning (ADRL)-based resource management is performed to reduce the operation cost associated with IIoT deployments. Energy efficiency is essential in IIoT ecosystem, particularly for the devices that run on batteries. Through dynamic resource allocation based on workload needs and energy limits, ADRL-based resource management optimizes the usage of energy. The reliability of the designed model is enhanced by fine-tuning the parameters from DRL using the Ship Rescue Optimization (SRO) algorithm. Thus, ADRL-based resource management systems make real-time decisions based on current environmental conditions and system requirements. This helps the IIoT systems to react quickly to change demands and optimize resource allocation. Social media networks play a major role in expressing people's feelings, reviews, and thoughts. One of the popular linguistic patterns to express or criticize one's ideas with ridicule is sarcasm, where they have unintended and intended meanings in written text. The sarcastic text is used to reverse the polarity of the sentiment. As a result, sarcasm detection in the text positively affects the sentimental analysis (SA) tasks and improves accuracy. The sarcasm recognition of Arabic content is constrained even though Arabic is the most popular language for web content sharing, and yet still naive owing to various challenges, such as the insufficient data sources, the multiple dialects, and the morphological structure of the Arabic language. This study presents an Artificial Intelligence Driven Sarcasm Detection using Optimal Deep Learning (AIDSD-ODL) technique on Arabic tweets. In the AIDSD-ODL technique, a hyperparameter-tuned DL model is utilized to identify sarcastic or non-sarcastic Arabic tweets. At the initial stage, the AIDSD-ODL method undergoes data pre-processing to convert the input tweets into a compatible format. In the next phase, the Glove word embedding process is used in the AIDSD-ODL technique. The self-attention bidirectional long short-term memory (SA-BiLSTM) model is utilized for sarcasm detection. The Al-Biruni Earth Radius (BER) model is implemented for the hyperparameter selection process to enhance the performance of the SA-BiLSTM network. The experimental results of the AIDSD-ODL method are examined under the Arabic tweets dataset. The comparison study of the AIDSD-ODL method portrayed a superior accuracy value of 94.20 % over existing models. © 2025 The Authors

The technological advancements in the field of agriculture have increased to a great extent in recent years, and many techniques have evolved from other techniques. Some methods are improved or upgraded from the previous versions by implementing a new model or using better hardware devices. This has been helpful for the farmers in increasing crop productivity, and the life expectancy of crops has also increased as the diseases inside or outside the crops can be detected much earlier, and learning at an early stage helps prevent other crops. In this paper, we have presented a study where many varieties of fruits and vegetables have been taken to determine which method was used for a particular crop. By analyzing the various works carried out by the authors, it was inferred that most of the works revolved around image processing and hyperspectral imaging. Due to this, we had also included most of the papers, particularly as the models and hardware components used were much better than other works. Innovative cross-layer defense mechanisms for blackhole and wormhole attacks in wireless ad-hoc networks

Wireless ad-hoc networks operate independently of existing infrastructure, using devices like access points to connect end-user computing devices. Current methods face issues such as low detection accuracy, structural deviation, and extended processing times. This paper proposes a cross-layer approach that leverages knowledge from the physical and Medium Access Control (MAC) layers, which is then shared with higher layers to effectively mitigate wormhole and blackhole attacks. A wormhole attack disrupts communication through tunneling, while a blackhole attack manipulates network traffic by impersonating the source. The proposed cross-layer framework integrates the network, MAC, and physical layers, and is independent of specific network protocols. The physical layer handles channel interference, the network layer manages process handling, and the MAC layer oversees bandwidth information and tracks failed transmissions. Performance metrics are measured in seconds. The Enhanced Support Vector Machine (E-SVM) algorithm, implemented using NS3 software, demonstrates superior performance compared to traditional SVM techniques across multiple metrics, including average energy consumption, average remaining energy, packets received, packet delivery ratio, delay, jitter, throughput, normalized overhead, dropping ratio, and goodput. Simulation results show that E-SVM achieves a 12.5% dropping ratio, 98.459% energy consumption, and an 89.2879% packet delivery ratio, outperforming existing SVM techniques across various network sizes. © The Author(s) 2025.
