The problem of constructing a deterministic model of a stochastic queuing network that describes the dynamics of changes in the average values of queue lengths is considered. Such specific features of the model are taken into account, such as the possibility of blocking service devices when storage buffers of limited capacity are overflowed and the dependence of service intensity on the state of the system. The resulting model obtained using the method of averaged modeling in the form of a system of non-linear differential equations makes it possible to investigate transient processes in the queuing network caused by changes in the intensity of input demand flows and failures of service devices. The results of a numerical study of examples of the obtained models are presented. © 2023 IEEE.

The problem of constructing a complex composite indicator based on expert scores and statistical information about particular indicators is considered. A procedure for estimating the parameters of a nonlinear model of a composite indicator based on the method of biased kernel ridge regression is proposed;at the same time, the problem of optimal concordant of expert and statistical information is solved by choosing the appropriate regularization functional. Using the method of Lagrange multipliers, expressions for estimating the parameters of a nonlinear model and a kernel-based model of a composite indicator are obtained. The results of a numerical experiment on the construction of a composite indicator model using real data are presented. © 2023 IEEE.

The problem of advanced control systems modeling for feedwater-level control in steam generators of nuclear power plants is considered. To suppress disturbances caused by changes in reactor thermal power and steam flow to the turbine, the control system is built according to the combined principle and includes a dynamic disturbance compensator. Compensator design is carried out on the basis of inverse model control theory. Specialized software for modeling a feedwater control system has been developed, which allows feedback controllers and disturbance compensators to tune and study disturbances' influence on control process performance. The results of the simulation of the effect of technological disturbances on the deviations of the water level in the steam generator and the pressure at the control feed valve and assessing the degree of their suppression are presented. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper considers competitive interaction between two innovative processes, which is described using the 'predator-prey' paradigm. The dynamic model of the economic system is presented as a system of two differential equations of the first order with quadratic nonlinearity. The influence of parameters of the system of differential equations on the evolutionary processes in the economic system, including the possibility of bifurcations, is studied. It is shown that such a system has two focuses and six limit cycles in the ratio 3:3. The proposed model makes it possible to predict the evolution path of the system as a result of the control action. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper is devoted to the development of a technique for classifying failures in predictive maintenance based on machine learning on aggregated data. A feature of the proposed approach is the preliminary clustering of data in order to reduce the dimension of the trained model based on kernels. A regularized 'soft clustering' procedure is proposed, using a regularizing functional that takes into account the imbalance between the number of cluster elements corresponding to the presence of failures and their absence. A cluster-learning kernel regression model of the failure rate is also proposed. The performance and efficiency of the proposed technique are illustrated by the results of computational experiments carried out using the synthetic AI4I Predictive Maintenance dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

We present a third version of the PraK system designed around an effective text-image and image-image search model. The system integrates sub-image search options for localized context search for CLIP and image color/texture and interfaces tailored to specific task types. A user study shows the benefits of sub-image search in homogeneous video collections. This paper presents a tool relying on data service architecture, where technical details of all VBS datasets are completely hidden behind an abstract stateless data layer. The data services allow independent development of interactive search interfaces and refinement techniques, which is demonstrated by a smart front-end component. The component supports common search features and allows users to exploit content-based statistics for effective filtering. We believe that video data services might be a valuable addition to the open-source VBS toolkit, especially when available for the competition on a shared server with all VBS datasets, extracted features, and meta-data behind. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In this paper, the time-fractional coupled viscous Burgers' equation(CVBE)and Drinfeld-Sokolov-Wilson equation(DSWE) are solved by the Sawi transform coupled homotopy perturbation method(HPM). The approximate series solutions to these two equations are obtained. Meanwhile, the absolute error between the approximate solution given in this paper and the exact solution given in the literature is analyzed. By comparison of the graphs of the function when the fractional order α takes different values, the properties of the equations are given as a conclusion.

Local operations of combinatorial structures (graphs, Hadamard matrices, codes, designs) that maintain the basic parameters unaltered, have been widely used in the literature under the name of switching. We show an equivalence between two switching methods to construct inequivalent Hadamard matrices, which were proposed by Orrick [SIAM Journal on Discrete mathematics, 2008], and the switching method for constructing cospectral graphs which was introduced by Godsil and McKay [Aequationes Mathematicae, 1982]. © 2024, CC BY.

In this paper, we present an enhanced medical image segmentation approach leveraging the nnUNet framework, specifically tailored to integrate bounding box prompts for improved segmentation accuracy in resource-constrained environments. By incorporating these prompts as binary masks in an additional input channel, we enable more precise and context-aware segmentation. Our methodology employs a 2D slice-wise approach optimized for CPU-based inference through just-in-time (JIT) compiled functions, ensuring efficient processing on standard clinical equipment. Our solution demonstrates robust performance, achieving an average Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) of 80.98% and a Normalized Surface Dice (NSD) of 83.23% across multiple modalities in the validation set. This indicates its practical applicability and effectiveness in real-world clinical settings, where computational resources may be limited. By focusing on both accuracy and efficiency, our approach makes advanced segmentation technology accessible to a broader range of healthcare providers, facilitating enhanced clinical decision-making and patient care. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
