Face photo-sketch synthesis aims at generating a facial sketch/photo conditioned on a given photo/sketch. It is of wide applications including digital entertainment and law enforcement. Precisely depicting face photos/sketches remains challenging due to the restrictions on structural realism and textural consistency. While existing methods achieve compelling results, they mostly yield blurred effects and great deformation over various facial components, leading to the unrealistic feeling of synthesized images. To tackle this challenge, in this work, we propose to use the facial composition information to help the synthesis of face sketch/photo. Specially, we propose a novel composition-aided generative adversarial network (CA-GAN) for face photo-sketch synthesis. In CA-GAN, we utilize paired inputs including a face photo/sketch and the corresponding pixel-wise face labels for generating a sketch/photo. In addition, to focus training on hard-generated components and delicate facial structures, we propose a compositional reconstruction loss. Finally, we use stacked CA-GANs (SCA-GAN) to further rectify defects and add compelling details. Experimental results show that our method is capable of generating both visually comfortable and identity-preserving face sketches/photos over a wide range of challenging data. Our method achieves the state-of-the-art quality, reducing best previous Fréchet Inception distance (FID) by a large margin. Constructing IGA-suitable planar parameterization from complex CAD boundary by domain partition and global/local optimization

In this paper, we propose a general framework for constructing IGA-suitable planar B-spline parameterizations from given complex CAD boundaries consisting of a set of B-spline curves. Instead of forming the computational domain by a simple boundary, planar domains with high genus and more complex boundary curves are considered. Firstly, some pre-processing operations including Bézier extraction and subdivision are performed on each boundary curve in order to generate a high-quality planar parameterization;then a robust planar domain partition framework is proposed to construct high-quality patch-meshing results with few singularities from the discrete boundary formed by connecting the end points of the resulting boundary segments. After the topology information generation of quadrilateral decomposition, the optimal placement of interior Bézier curves corresponding to the interior edges of the quadrangulation is constructed by a global optimization method to achieve a patch-partition with high quality. Finally, after the imposition of C1/G1-continuity constraints on the interface of neighboring Bézier patches with respect to each quad in the quadrangulation, the high-quality Bézier patch parameterization is obtained by a C1constrained local optimization method to achieve uniform and orthogonal iso-parametric structures while keeping the continuity conditions between patches. The efficiency and robustness of the proposed method are demonstrated by several examples which are compared to results obtained by the skeleton-based parameterization approach. A new generation memory, Non-Volatile Memory (NVM), such as Phase-Change Memory (PCM), has been adopted together with DRAM in the main memory to form the hybrid main memory for low energy consumption and high capacity. The biggest challenge of hybrid memory is how to decrease the average memory access cost for the higher cost of NVM's read/write operation. Currently, most researches are based on migration. However, the page migration itself is a high cost operation. And the migration based policy produces many migration operations, which induces high cost in memory access. Therefore, in order to decrease the cost, we present a virtual page behavior based page management policy (VBPM) in this paper. According to the virtual pages' behavior, we allocate virtual pages into DRAM or PCM physical pages correspondingly. The whole process is migration independent. The experimental results show our VBPM decreases the average memory access time by 24%, moreover, VBPM improves real-time performance in critical path.

Toward activity mapping for Artifact-Centric business process

The existing method of task mapping between process models is mostly based on the similarity of labels to get the similarity between tasks, which is affected by a single factor and easy to cause errors. This paper proposes a task mapping method for Artifact-Centric business process analyzes the data operation in business process execution. At first we add the description of data operation to EZ-Flow model. Secondly select the similar artifact attributes of the two business artifact by whole artifacts similarity calculation and based them to calculate two tasks’ similarity by label similarity, artifact operation similarity and context similarity calculations. Finally, the task mapping comes from the optimal selection of tasks’ similarities. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the method, and show that the method reflects the data operation characteristics of business process model, as artifact task mapping of the process model provides a feasible method. © 2016 SERSC.

There have two effective ways to improve the overall efficiency of the object-based distributed storage system, one is network caching technology and the other is metadata server cluster load balancing strategy. Under the heterogeneous storage environments, object-based distributed file system face the key challenge of lacking caching mechanism for the high-frequency access files, metadata server load imbalance also reduce the overall efficiency. To address these challenges, we discuss the design and implementation of an object-based distributed file storage caching system, and propose a weight-based metadata server cluster load balancing strategy. It effectively improve the metadata processing capacity. Based on the results, it demonstrated the feasibility and the efficiency of our methods. © 2015 SERSC.

The OraCDP disaster recovery system uses CDP disaster recovery technology based on the combination of block level, combining with the communication coupling between the underlying I/O and Oracle database. The experimental results show that the OraCDP system can not only maintain the normal operation of the original system without any negative influence, but also guarantee the recovery of data and service at specific time quickly, fully and accurately. © 2015 SERSC.

For the problem of compute nodes load unbalance leads to the overload node impact VM performance and the underload node waste electrical energy. Dynamic VM consolidation is an efficient approach for improving the utilization of servers and reducing energy costs. In this paper, we introduce dynamic consolidation into OpenStack and implement AMVM based on OpenStack. AMVM collect and analyze all performance data of VM and compute node in OpenStack. Then AMVM automatically schedules VM live migrate to the most appropriate node according to the real-time load of all compute nodes. Then we use hybrid-copy instead of pre-copy in AMVM to improve the efficiency of VM live migration. Finally, we analyze the performance of hybrid-copy, hybrid-copy can reduce page faults compared with post-copy and reduce total data transferred compared with pre-copy. © 2016 SERSC.

Previous researches have well demonstrated the importance of costly punishment for promoting the evolution of cooperation, while it remains unconsidered sides about the punishment. Recent evidences highlight that punishment cannot promote cooperation when punishment can be targeted at cooperators. In this paper, we study the evolutionary process of cooperation in the well-mixed population when the presence of antisocial punishment. Here cooperator can optionally adopt an insurance strategy which incurs an extra cost to resist the threat of antisocial punishment, and she will obtain compensation when being punished by antisocial punisher in the future. With this strategy, cooperators can opportunistically adjust their behavior, which makes cooperators evolve advantageously, and improve individuals' average payoff in population.

Most previous studies involving public goods games are investigated under a simplifying assumption that participators are compulsive in collective interactions and contribute unconditionally to the public pool. Nevertheless, how the conditional investment mechanism based on individual's reputation affects the evolution of cooperation in structured populations is still unclear. Here we introduce a reputation-based conditional investment rule for constituting participant groups into spatial threshold public goods game, where the public goods game can be conducted only if the participant number is not less than the threshold parameter. Interestingly, we find that large threshold parameter results in the optimal environment for cooperators' viability.
