Accurately detecting traffic anomalies becomes increasingly crucial in network management. Algorithms that model the traffic data as a matrix suffers from low detection accuracy, while the work using the tensor model often assumes the tensor is regular without considering that network nodes may dynamically join in or leave, which will fail in a practical network with the change of node set as a result of mobility and churn behaviors. We propose a novel Tensor Recovery scheme in a Dynamic network (TRDN) with traffic data modeled as a practical irregular tensor for accurate anomaly detection. To take advantage of correlations among small tensors, each formed with a short time duration to capture more hidden information in the data for higher detection accuracy, we propose several novel techniques: 1) a new joint tensor factorization model to capture the characteristic shared by the common nodes of small tensors, 2) a tensor partition algorithm to identify the data that can be applied to train the shared parameters efficiently, and 3) a bar-based algorithm that partitions nodes into the minimum number of no-overlapping subsets to form the shared tensor model. Extensive experiments on two Internet traffic data sets, Abilene and GEANT, demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed TRDN. © 2016 IEEE.

Cluster-preserving sampling algorithm for large-scale graphs

Graph sampling is a very effective method to deal with scalability issues when analyzing largescale graphs. Lots of sampling algorithms have been proposed, and sampling qualities have been quantified using explicit properties(e.g., degree distribution) of the sample. However, the existing sampling techniques are inadequate for the current sampling task: sampling the clustering structure, which is a crucial property of the current networks. In this paper, using different expansion strategies, two novel top-leader sampling methods(i.e., TLS-e and TLS-i) are proposed to obtain representative samples, and they are capable of effectively preserving the clustering structure. The rationale behind them is to select top-leader nodes of most clusters into the sample and then heuristically incorporate peripheral nodes into the sample using specific expansion strategies. Extensive experiments are conducted to investigate how well sampling techniques preserve the clustering structure of graphs. Our empirical results show that the proposed sampling algorithms can preserve the population's clustering structure well and provide feasible solutions to sample the clustering structure from large-scale graphs.

5G technology has endowed mobile communication terminals with features such as ultrawideband access,low latency,and high reliability transmission,which can complete the network access and interconnection of a large number of devices,thus realizing richer application scenarios and constructing 5G-enabled vehicular ***,due to the vulnerability of wireless communication,vehicle privacy and communication security have become the key problems to be solved in vehicular ***,the large-scale communication in the vehicular networks also makes the higher communication efficiency an inevitable *** order to achieve efficient and secure communication while protecting vehicle privacy,this paper proposes a lightweight key agreement and key update scheme for 5G vehicular networks based on ***,the key agreement is accomplished using certificateless public key cryptography,and based on the aggregate signature and the cooperation between the vehicle and the trusted authority,an efficient key updating method is proposed,which reduces the overhead and protects the privacy of the vehicle while ensuring the communication ***,by introducing blockchain and using smart contracts to load the vehicle public key table for key management,this meets the requirements of vehicle traceability and can dynamically track and revoke misbehaving ***,the formal security proof under the eck security model and the informal security analysis is conducted,it turns out that our scheme is more secure than other authentication schemes in the vehicular *** analysis shows that our scheme has lower overhead than existing schemes in terms of communication and computation.

A bitcoin service community classification method based on Random Forest and improved KNN algorithm

There are service communities with different functions in the Bitcoin transactions system. Identifying community categories helps to further understand the Bitcoin transactions system and facilitates targeted regulation of anonymized Bitcoin transactions. To this end, a Bitcoin service community classification method based on Random Forest and improved K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm is proposed. First, the transaction characteristics of different types of communities are analyzed and summarized, and the corresponding transaction features are extracted from the address and entity levels;then multiple classification algorithms are compared, the optimal model to filter the effective features is selected, and the feature vector of entity addresses is constructed. Finally, a classification model is constructed based on Random Forest and improved KNN algorithm to classify the entities. By constructing different classification models for experimental comparison, the accuracy and stability advantages of the proposed method for classification in service community classification research are verified. © 2024 The Authors. Frequency-enhanced and decomposed transformer for multivariate time series anomaly detection

With the widespread adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT), vast amounts of multivariate time series data are generated, which reflect the operational status of systems. Accurate and efficient anomaly detection in these data is crucial for maintaining system stability. However, data from unstable environments often exhibit high volatility, data drift, and complex patterns of anomalies. Unsupervised anomaly detection models are typically designed for stable data and lack generalizability, leading to a high rate of false positives when applied to unstable data. This paper introduces the frequency-enhanced and decomposed transformer for anomaly detection (FDTAD), which is a novel anomaly detection model based on a transformer that is enhanced with frequency and time series decomposition. FDTAD addresses data drift by decomposing time series and leverages both time-domain and frequency-domain information to improve the generalization ability of the model. The model preserves major amplitudes in the frequency domain to extract primary periodic patterns, uses spectral residuals to capture detailed variations, and incorporates a frequency-domain correlation attention mechanism to extract dependencies in frequency-domain data in a sparse representation. Additionally, a spatiotemporal module is designed to extract the temporal correlations in the data and spatial correlations among the data with different attributes. FDTAD combines a data periodic pattern reconstructor and a data detailed pattern reconstructor through an adversarial mechanism to achieve maximum accuracy in reconstructing normal data. Extensive experiments on 10 public datasets demonstrate that FDTAD outperforms state-of-the-art baseline methods, with a 4.1% improvement in the F1 score and a 4.7% improvement in precision. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

As one of the major threats to the current DeFi(Decentralized Finance)ecosystem,reentrant attack induces data inconsistency of the victim smart contract,enabling attackers to steal on-chain assets from DeFi projects,which could terribly do harm to the confidence of the blockchain ***,protecting DeFi projects from the reentrant attack is very difficult,since generating a call loop within the highly automatic DeFi ecosystem could be very *** researchers mainly focus on the detection of the reentrant vulnerabilities in the code testing,and no method could promise the non-existent of reentrant *** this paper,we introduce the database lock mechanism to isolate the correlated smart contract states from other operations in the same contract,so that we can prevent the attackers from abusing the inconsistent smart contract *** to the existing resolutions of front-running,code audit,andmodifier,our method guarantees protection resultswith better *** we further evaluate our method on a number of de facto reentrant attacks observed from *** results prove that our method could efficiently prevent the reentrant attack with less running cost.

The structure of railway systems is complex, and accurately and rapidly identifying the root cause of faults post-occurrence is an emerging challenge in the industry. However, railway fault tracing mainly relies on manual experience and traditional data analysis techniques, with most tracing methods suffering from low efficiency and insufficient accuracy. To address these issues, this paper proposes a railway safety equipment fault tracing method based on knowledge graphs and weighted path ranking algorithm. The approach integrates knowledge graphs with Bayesian networks, attention mechanisms, and graph computation, utilizing a weighted calculation to run the weighted path ranking algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves excellent tracing performance in the field of railway equipment. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid expansion of railway networks and technological advancements has introduced significant challenges in ensuring railway safety. To address the critical need for effective prediction and prevention mechanisms, this paper proposes the FCAM-TCN-DSInformer model, a novel approach to railway accident prediction. The model integrates the Fourier-based Channel Attention Mechanism (FCAM), Temporal Convolutional network (TCN), and De-stationary Informer (DSInformer) to capture both temporal and spectral features from time series data effectively. Extensive experiments and ablation studies were conducted to validate the model's performance. The results demonstrate that the FCAM-TCN-DSInformer model significantly outperforms both traditional and advanced models, including ARIMA, LSTM, GRU, Transformer, Autoformer, and FEDformer by achieving the highest R2 score and substantial reductions in error metrics such as RMSE, MAE, and MAPE. These improvements confirm the model's accuracy and robustness, making it a powerful tool for railway safety management. Moreover, the model's adaptability to different univariate time series datasets, such as the Daily Minimum Temperatures Dataset and the US Births Dataset, highlights its strong generalization capabilities. Future work will focus on optimizing the model for real-time predictions and expanding its application to multi-step prediction tasks, thereby fully realizing its potential across diverse forecasting contexts. © 2024 IEEE.
