Test case mutation and generation (m&g) based on data samples is a n effective way to generate test cases for Knowledge-based fuzzing, but present m&g technique is only capable of one-dimensional m&g at a time based on a data sample and thus it is impossible to find a vulnerability that can only be detected by multidimensional m&g. This paper proposes a mathematical model FTSG that formally describes Fuzzing Test Suite Generation based on m&g, and can process multidimension input elements m&g, which is done by a Genetic Algorithm Mutation operator (GAMutator). By executionoriented input-output (I/O) analysis, the influence relationships between input elements and insecure functions in target application were collected. Based on these relationships, GAMutator can directly mutate corresponding input elements to trigger the suspected vulnerability in a target insecure function, which could never been found by one-dimension m&g fuzzing. Importantly, GAMutator does not bring the input combination explosion, and the number of test cases it generates is linear with the number of insecure functions. Finally, an experiment on Libpng has proved that FTSG could effectively enrich the ability of knowledge-based fuzzing technique to find vulnerabilities.

In this paper, a kind of expert system for diagnosing of ginseng disease and insect pest-ES based on case-based reasoning (CBR) is introduced. Rule-based reasoning (RBR) is adopted in the expert system, and there are some problems in RBR usually, for example, system is difficult to defending, knowledge is troublesome to obtain, reasoning fragile and so on. The previously knowledge and experience of explaining similar question for proceeding reasoning may be used when the system based on CBR answers some questions, so that we can acquire the result of the present question. The core of CBR lies in abstraction of similarity and reasoning of history cases. This diagnosis thinking for something which is similar to actually expert diagnosis course, for another, we can full use previous experience of diagnosing and treating when diagnosing and treating ginseng disease and insect pests, which refrains from repetition work. There is well developing prospect on studying of similar agriculture expert system.

In this paper we present a new supervised classification method, referred to as the k-way tree semi-greedy (KTSG) classifier, for the classification of multisource remote sensing images. The generalized positive Boolean function (GPBF) classifier scheme is recently proposed based on minimum classification error (MCE) criteria to improve classification performance. It makes use of MCE criteria to apply positive and negative samples as training parameters. Unfortunately, the classification performance of GPBF is limited when the number of classes increases. This is occurred in training phase by the unbalanced numbers of positive and negative samples caused by the use of a large number of classes. The proposed KTSG overcomes this drawback by modifying the scheme from the perception of pattern-node based semi-greedy (bottom-up scheme used in GPBF) to the conception of region-based semi-greedy (also known as the top-down scheme in KTSG). It is organized by a k-way tree in which every node is composed of a set of k-dimensional positive and negative labeled samples as represented as a percentage, i.e. the corresponding ratio of number of a specific (positive) class samples to the total number of the other (negative) classes. It iteratively divides the d-dimensional hyperplane into 2d subspaces according to the centroids of the labeled (training) samples of all classes. The statistical ratios between different classes are then compared as a basis for stopping the new subspace separation and identifying which subspace belongs to which class. By delivering both positive and negative samples of different classes to KTSG learning modules, KTSG outperforms GPBF and traditional classifiers in terms of classification accuracies. The effectiveness of the proposed KTSG is evaluated by fusing MODIS/ASTER airborne simulator (MASTER) hyperspectral images and airborne synthetic aperture radar (AIRSAR) images for land cover classification during the Pacrim II campaign. ©2009 IEEE.

Many multimedia applications can benefit from recognizing image content. It requires a robust and discriminative representation of objects, especially in the situation of only a few training samples available. In this paper, we present a new approach to integrate the advantages of bag-of-words model and part-based model for image recognition. Each image is encoded as a Hierarchical Word Image (HWI), which contains not only visual appearance but also spatial information. The object parts are then located and represented in HWI. Finally, the part-based Star Model (SM) is used to learn the object model and recognize the test images. It is shown that our proposed approach can detect more accurate part candidates and significantly improve the performance of original part-based model for object recognition.

This paper presents a new mesh simplification algorithm based on edge collapse, it combines surface curvature and quadric error metric, the position of a new vertex for edge collapse depends on multiple-weighted approach. The new algorithm can improve simplification rationality in procedure and preserve important features after simplification. In an addition, we do some experiments with comparing different simplified models, the results show that the new algorithm not only maintains the overall appearance for models, but also obtains better effectiveness. © 2010 IEEE.

Current large scale image retrieval engines rely heavily on the surrounding text information, which inevitably includes some irrelevant images in the retrieval results due to the noisy environment. To improve the retrieval performance, we propose an unsupervised web image re-ranking method by incorporating images' visual information. Our method can automatically select a set of representative images from the original image pool as concept model, which is highly related to the query concept and critically important for the re-ranking result. With a similarity graph constructed by top results given by text based retrieval, we utilize Normalized Cut to select the part with the highest similarity density as concept model. We re-rank the rest images according to their similarities to the concept model. The advantages of our method are (i): Our method is unsupervised, and it doesn't need any pre-prepared query/training image or user's feedback, Thus it greatly facilitates users' retrieval. (ii): By finding a set of images rather than single image, we are able to give a more complete and more robust model for the query concept. (iii): Multi-ranking Integration Strategy is adopted to re-rank the rest images. Experiments show that our method can achieve satisfying results.

In this paper, we propose a large margin framework to learn the local instance-to-class distance function using local patch-based feature vectors, which satisfies the property that distance from instance to its own class should be less than the distance to other class. This instance-to-class distance is modeled as the weighted combination of the distance from every patch in test image to its nearest patch in training class, where the weight is learned through the above learning phase. We evaluate the proposed method on human action datasets and compare with related methods. It is shown that the proposed method achieves promising performance and improves the efficiency.

To improve the local mobility performance of a wireless network, we present a new framework, namely Efficient Framework for Local Mobility (EFLoM). In EFLoM, we introduce three entities: Local Anchor Router (LAR), Wireless Access Gateway (WAG) and Mobile Node (MN). LAR is a router that is in charge of MN's IP mobility management. It keeps track of MN's movement, and delivers the MN's packets to its current location. A WAG is an access router that is responsible for managing the traffic flows within the same local mobility domain. In EFLoM, when Corresponding Node (CN) and MN connect to the same local mobility domain, packets are sent directly between CN and MN by WAG, without suffering sub-optimal routing problems. A MN is a mobile host which updates its data packets' header with its current location address before packets are sent out. To evaluate our new framework, we compare EFLoM with Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 Mobility Management (HMIPv6) which is an existing protocol that has good performance for local mobility. Both analytical analysis and simulation result show that EFLoM can attain substantial improvements over HMIPv6 in terms of handover delay, end to end delay, traffic overhead, which therefore presents EFLoM as a new engineering alternative to existing MIPv6 based techniques.

As semantic Web grows, security concerns increase. One concern is controlling accesses to resources in this environment. In order to infer whether the access is allowed or not, different information of different entities including contextual information should be involved. From access control point of view, we divide the entities in semantic Web into three categories: resources (objects), requesters (subjects), and environment (infrastructure, time, and location). In this paper, we present a semantic-based context-aware access control framework to be applied in semantic Web, considered as a multi-domain environment. To handle context information in the framework, we propose a context ontology to represent contextual information and employ it in the inference engine. The proposed ontology classifies the context of a semantic Web environment and represents the elements of contextual information and their relationship in an abstract level. We illustrate how the access control framework handles the contextual information with the proposed context ontology.

In this paper we propose two mutual authentication protocols for RFID systems. Generally, in RFID systems, a reader can authenticate tags in the real-time and batch modes. This paper proposes the first authentication protocol for the real-time mode. It also proposes an efficient robust mutual authentication protocol for the batch mode. Some significant characteristics of the protocols are forward security, tag anonymity, location privacy, low complexity on the back-end server, and scalability. To the best of our knowledge, our protocols offer the most enhanced security features in RFID mutual authentication protocols with respect to user privacy. In analyzing the protocols, we show how remarkable properties such as forward security and tag anonymity are guaranteed. It is also illustrated that our protocol is secure against several common attacks that RFID systems confront with.
