Summary evaluation method is crucial to promote the development of summarization technologies. However, most of the existing summary evaluation methods seldom consider the content integrity and readability of summaries simultaneously. This paper proposed a Linguistic Quality and Semantic Similarity Model (LQSSM) to evaluate generated summaries more comprehensively. Considering the readability of summaries, a linguistic quality evaluation network (LQEN) is proposed to evaluate summaries automatically. Meanwhile, a semantic similarity evaluation network (SSEN) is introduced to directly measure the informativeness between the summary and original . Additionally, there is also a comprehensive evaluation using fusion indicators. The LQSSM and Recall-Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation (ROUGE) methods were used to score the summaries generated by five models. The results showed that the proposed method gave further feedback from different angles on the basis of reaching the level of other methods. © 2020 IEEE.

Due to the intricate nature of erodibility, sensitivity of soil particles and limited amount of data, the consequent modelling of soil wind erodibility is a challenging task for researchers. Therefore, the robust prediction of soil wind erodibility along with the sensitive factors is often an indispensable task. This study analyses portable wind tunnel-based measured wind erosion rate (gm −2 s −1 ) from 118 sites in Kerman Province, southeast Iran where 17 different predictors were considered for each site. This paper investigates the importance of a set of predictors which are most affected by soil erosion rate. Furthermore, this study proposes a novel an optimum feature selection-based heterogeneous ensemble meta-estimator (voting ensemble (VE)) for predicting wind erosion rate. A linear regression-based recursive feature elimination technique with 2-fold cross validation is used to identify the 7significant important predictors, called i) VFS (very fine sand), ii) CS (coarse sand), iii) VCS (very coarse sand), iv) GC (gravel coverage), v) MWD (mean weight diameter), vi) surface crust, and vii) moisture, that affects the soil erodibility rate. Then, a VE with 3 unfitted estimators is proposed, which averages the predictions of singleton estimators to enhance the prediction accuracy. The 3 singleton unfitted estimators, called support vector machine (linear kernel), random forest and gradient boosting machine, are used with grid search approach. The investigation identifies the surface crust as the most effective parameter in predicting soil erosion rate. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Cloud computing is one of the most modern innovations that are growing rapidly in all technical fields because of its advantages in securing multiple resources and high speed in performance. It provides users connected via the Internet with a variety of storage and computing supplies. Cloud computing is both a catalyst and an enabler for major technological developments such as mobile computing, big data, and machine learning. With all these features, task scheduling has become one of the most difficult challenges facing the cloud, It plays a key role in the effectiveness of all cloud computing tools. Scheduling tasks means allocating tasks to the suitable virtual machine so that the course of computation can be executed to satisfy QoS constraints defined by users such as time to finish and expense. Most current optimization algorithms focus on only one aspect. In this paper, Depending on the characteristics of the swarm algorithm we will develop a model to solve the dilemma of task scheduling as well in order to get the fastest time to transfer tasks and the fastest time for execution with the lowest possible expense. In addition to that, we will develop a multi-purpose algorithm based on the PSO method to provide an optimal solution for the proposed model. The experimental consequences of this paper demonstrate that the proposed manner is more efficacious in expediting tasks and reducing expenses.

Cloud computing is a reasonably distributed computing with heterogeneous computing resources. Resource sharing, convenience of resources that correspond to the needs and a lot of box-management issues facing the cloud. Here, during this paper, analysis and comparison of varied existing algorithms of service brokers and load equalization algorithms in cloud computing . To check the implementation of existing algorithms, varied modeling tools were developed, for instance, a Cloud Analyst. The performance of the present policies of the service broker is compared by considering total response time and execution time in data center.

Recent studies have focused on leveraging large-scale artificial intelligence (LAI) models to improve semantic representation and compression capabilities. However, the substantial computational demands of LAI models pose significant challenges for real-time communication scenarios. To address this, this paper proposes utilizing knowledge distillation (KD) techniques to extract and condense knowledge from LAI models, effectively reducing model complexity and computation latency. Nevertheless, the inherent complexity of LAI models leads to prolonged inference times during distillation, while their lack of channel awareness compromises the distillation performance. These limitations make standard KD methods unsuitable for task-oriented semantic communication scenarios. To address these issues, we propose a fast distillation method featuring a pre-stored compression mechanism that eliminates the need for repetitive inference, significantly improving efficiency. Furthermore, a channel adaptive module is incorporated to dynamically adjust the transmitted semantic information based on varying channel conditions, enhancing communication reliability and adaptability. In addition, an information bottleneck-based loss function is derived to guide the fast distillation process. Simulation results verify that the proposed scheme outperform baselines in term of task accuracy, model size, computation latency, and training data requirements. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Characterising the fundamental energy efficiency (EE) limits of massive Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems is significant for the development of green wireless communications. This paper analyses the adaptation of optimal BS transmitted power according to channel conditions and users' Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. The optimal BS transmitted power has the potential to be utilised as an effective strategy to reduce BSs power consumption and consequently enhance the EE of the system. Thus, this paper conducts an analytical closed-form expression of optimal downlink BS transmitted power for massive MIMO systems with Zero Forcing (ZF) beamforming processing and perfect Channel State Information (CSI). User required data rate and maximum allowable outage probability are considered as users' QoS constraints. Both of theoretical and the simulation results, for several transmission modes, indicate that the average EE per BS is a unimodal function of the user required data rate that jointly increased up to the maximum point of EE, but further increases in the data rate can only come at a loss in average EE per BS. As the higher the data rate, the higher the circuit and transmit power consumption, due to the need for a larger number of BS antennas. The results indicate that system EE can be enhanced by reducing energy consumption through optimal BS transmitted power. This is achieved by adaptation to channel conditions and users' QoS requirements.

In this paper, a compact Ultra-Wideband (UWB) antenna is presented which has a polygonal shaped patch with the circular slotted ground. Rectangular shaped modification is also done at the side of the ground plane in this UWB antenna. Both HFSS and CST software have been used for simulation purpose of this proposed antenna which has an electrical dimension of 0.30λ × 0.285λ × 0.012λ at the lowest frequency 2.25GHz. Operating bandwidth of this proposed antenna is of 8.8GHz (2.25-11.05GHZ) which is observed in both simulation and fabrication result with a constant increase in gain and stable radiation pattern. This proposed antenna is both simulated and fabricated on FR4 substrate which makes it inexpensive, high current density, low profile, omnidirectional. It shows an average gain of 4.68 dBi, the peak gain of 5.05dBi and maximum efficiency of 97%. After exhibiting these simulated and measured results, it is proved that this proposed antenna is suitable for working in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications. © 2018 IEEE.

In this paper, a broadband elliptical slotted patch antenna has been proposed for 5G wireless communications. The proposed antenna apparatus has a minimal size of 0.308λ0 × 0.308λ0 × 0.009λ0 at 22 GHz. The antenna bandwidth is enhanced for an elliptical ground plane. Microstrip feed line has been connected by a stub, to achieve better impedance. Array design has been designed for better gain, therefore array design has been made. The array has a high gain of about 18 dBi at 28 GHz and 21dBi at 38 GHz. The proposed antenna covers a wide band area from 22 GHz to 48 GHz. The proposed antenna covers 28/38 GHz. The antenna additionally gives omnidirectional to required 5G bands. © 2018 IEEE.

With the advent of digital transmission systems, the task of the discrete-Time signal reconstruction became very important. Notice that the task of the discrete-Time signals reconstruction is similar to the task of functions interpolation in numerical mathematics. In case of practical use of reconstruction methods one of the most important thing is to provide necessary accuracy of signal reconstruction. It depends both on type of the original analog signal and length of the discrete-Time signal. This paper presents results of the research on the accuracy of the periodic discrete-Time finite-length signal reconstruction by means of a Whittaker-Kotelnikov-Shannon interpolation formula. To estimate the accuracy of reconstruction the signal power to the error reconstruction power ratio has been employed. Two methods to increase the number of samples are considered. It is demonstrated that the formal increase in number of samples does not provide the of reconstruction error reduction every time. The conditions making reconstruction error on the dimensionless sampling rate ratio appear as the amount of the monotonic dependence with local extremums are defined. The ratio between the frequency of a signal, sampling rate and number of discrete samples providing minimum reconstruction error is determined. © 2018 IEEE.
