In the current era of extensive data usage across industries, data collection, preservation, utilization, and organization has become more challenging and nuanced because it is necessary to consider critical concerns such as data security, privacy, and legal issues, apart from efficiency issues. As a result, Thai government initiated the idea and effort to implement data governance throughout the government agency. This paper showcases the implementation of data governance in a governmental research organization with highly diverse structured and unstructured data. The implementation follows international standards and the guidelines of the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA). The executives set up the working body, including the data Governance Council and data Stewards, responsible for setting up and deploying policies and regulations. Creating awareness and the necessary infrastructure are the main focuses in the first-year phase. The metadata was designed to extend DGA's version and match the organization's unique requirements. A data catalog platform was developed accordingly. We organized activities to boost employee awareness and participation, including advertising and data catalog platform training. By the end of the first year of implementation, every organization unit had registered at least one data record into the data catalog.

Recently, the autoregressive framework based on large language models (LLMs) has achieved excellent performance in controlling the generated text to adhere to the required style. These methods guide LLMs through prompt learning to generate target text in an autoregressive manner. However, this manner possesses lower controllability and suffers from the challenge of accumulating errors, where early prediction inaccuracies might influence subsequent word generation. Furthermore, existing prompt-based methods overlook specific region editing, resulting in a deficiency of localized control over input text. To overcome these challenges, we propose a novel three-stage prompt-based approach for specific region editing. To alleviate the issue of accumulating errors, we transform the text style transfer task into a text infilling task, guiding the LLMs to modify only a small portion of text within the editing region to achieve style transfer, thus reducing the number of autoregressive iterations. To achieve an effective specific editing region, we adopt both prompt-based and word frequency-based strategies for region selection, subsequently employing a discriminator to validate the efficacy of the selected region. Experiments conducted on several publicly competitive datasets for text style transfer task confirm that our proposed approach achieves state-of-the-art performance. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

Due to the exceptional performance of Transform-ers in 2 $D$ medical image segmentation, recent work has also introduced them into 3D medical segmentation tasks. For instance, Swin UNETR and other hierarchical Transformers have reintroduced prior knowledge from several convolutional networks, further enhancing the volume segmentation capabilities of models. The efficacy of these hybrid methodologies is primarily attributed to the substantial quantity of parameters and the nonlocal self-attention mechanism with a large receptive field. We argue that the behavior of these methods' large receptive fields can be simulated by employing fewer parameters through the utilization of depth-wise convolutions with large kernel. Within this manuscript, we introduce a lightweight volume segmentation model called MedX-Net, which uses convolutional network modules to simulate hierarchical Transformers for robust volume segmentation. Firstly, inspired by the hierarchical Transformer module of Swin UNETR, we investigate large-kernel depth-wise convolutions with different sizes to achieve a reduced model parameter count while maintaining a large global receptive field. Secondly, we replace the multilayer perceptron (MLP) in the hierarchical Transformer module with Inverted Bottleneck with Depthwise Convolution Enhancement(DWCE) to improve model performance with fewer activation and normalization layers, further reducing the parameter count. We validate the effectiveness and efficiency of our model for volume segmentation on three public datasets: Synapse, BTCV and ACDC. On the Synapse dataset, compared to Swin UNETR, our model achieves an improvement from 83.48% to 87.21% in Dice score. Compared to the result of 86.57% achieved by nnFormer, our model achieves superior performance while reducing the model parameter count by 64%.

In the process of large-scale industrial production, complex defects of different shapes and sizes can occur in industrial products and their components, and these defects seriously affect the performance of industrial products and their components, and being able to quickly and accurately identify defective industrial products and their components is an important task. Memory-based methods are usually used for anomaly detection, and these methods often rely on pre-trained models for feature extraction, but have high requirements on feature quality. In addition, patch-based methods mainly focus on local differences in feature embedding when detecting anomalies without explicitly exploiting broader contextual information, thus greatly affecting the robustness and accuracy of anomaly detection. Aiming at the above problems and requirements, this paper proposes a Feature Aggregation Network for Memory-Based Industrial Anomaly Detection (FANet), which is based on the pre-extraction of anomalous features, attentional attention to key features, information aggregation of multi-level and multi-scale features, and the FANet provides advanced performance in industrial image anomaly detection and localisation by pre-extraction of anomalous features, attentional attention to key features, information aggregation of multi-layered and multi-scale features, and introduction of environmental information in the anomaly score computation to perform industrial anomaly detection tasks, and using core set subsampling to reduce storage requirements. On the MVTec AD, FANet has an image-level AUROC score of 99.1% and a pixel-level AUROC score of 98.2%. Similarly high detection results were achieved on the ViSA dataset, further demonstrating the robustness of FANet.

The seedling stage is important in the growth and development of maize, and it is also a critical period that affects maize yield and quality. Accurately recognizing this stage of maize is challenging, as current maize seedling detection methods struggle with small sizes and complex environments. This paper proposes a rapid maize seedling detection method that emphasizes spatial feature extraction in the receptive field and cross-dimensional interaction - receptive field triplet attention YOLO (RFT-YOLO). First, we design a convolutional module for cross-dimensional information interaction within the receptive field. Second, we introduce an advanced selective fusion network, which boosts the multi-scale fusion capability of small object features while reducing the GFLOPs of the model. Additionally, we employ Inner-IoU to diminish sensitivity to positional biases of small objects and expedite the convergence of the loss function. Finally, we create a dataset of maize seedlings to conduct our experiments. Experimental results demonstrate that the RFT-YOLO significantly enhances performance, reducing the number of parameters by 35.3% and GFLOPs by 14.24%, compared to the baseline model. Moreover, the mean average precision (mAP) improves from 89.6% to 91.5%. These improvements confirm the model's effectiveness in detecting maize seedlings. © 2024 IEEE.

The Global Navigation Satellite System Network Reference Stations (GNSS-NRS) are pivotal in modern po-sitioning and navigation applications. However, GNSS-NRS face significant communication challenges, including instability during rapid user movement and inconsistent coverage by different operators, which often results in data transmission interruptions and delays. Moreover, the conventional Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) scheduling strategy does not accommodate the diversity of the data types managed by GNSS-NRS. This default approach treats all data uniformly, even under deteriorating network conditions. To overcome these limitations, this paper introduces a ‘Multiple Reception’ strategy based on MPTCP that ensures timely and reliable GNSS data transmission. This novel strategy differentiates between observational and control data based on their real-time criticality and applies tailored transmission techniques. Under adverse conditions, it utilizes multiple transmission paths and selectively receives control data, thus prioritizing the transfer of critical information. We conducted simulation experiments using MiniNet to compare the ‘Multiple Reception’ method against conventional and redundant strategies, demonstrating that it significantly reduces data loss rates in GNSS-NRS.

In the context of Industry 4.0 and the rise of intelligent manufacturing, the quality of industrial products is becoming more and more important. Strip steel surface defect detection, as a key link in industrial production, is crucial to ensure the quality of industrial products. However, due to the irregularity of the defect scale and the inconspicuous defect features in the surface defect image of strip steel, it is difficult for the existing detection algorithms to realize the effective detection of defects. In order to better extract the features of defects and improve the network’s ability to detect defects, this paper proposes an algorithm for detecting surface defects on industrial strip steel based on receptive field and feature information supplementation. First, we design a receptive field (RF) module to replace the residual structure in the C3 module, which we name C3RF. This module can effectively increase the network’s receptive field, allowing the network to fully capture irregular defect features without increasing the cost. Second, for the characteristics that defective features are not obvious and tend to lose detail information as the network deepens, an extra information supplemental branching feature fusion pyramid (EFPN) is proposed on the basis of the original PAFPN architecture to compensate for the detail information that is lost by the fragile features in deeper layers. Finally, convolutional block attention module (CBAM) is introduced to replace the spatial pooling pyramid (SPPF) in the baseline network, which enhances the contrast between defects and backgrounds, and improves the classification and localization ability of the network. Our network achieves an accuracy of 82.2% on the publicly available strip steel defect detection dataset, which is a 4.0% improvement over the baseline. The results show that the network constructed in this paper can realize effective defect detection.

Advanced communication infrastructure makes the power system smarter but also introduces cybersecurity issues. False data injection attack (FDIA) is a kind of cyberattack that can cause significant damage to the power system. To defend against FDIAs, moving target defense (MTD) was recently proposed by perturbing the branch parameters. However, most of the existing research ignores the impact of MTD on power system stability. Considering the system dynamics, we analyze and investigate the impact of MTD on small-signal stability without sacrificing its effectiveness. We present a sufficient condition for maintaining the stability of the power system with MTD. Finally, we evaluate our findings with the IEEE 68-bus power system.

YOLOv5s is a classic deep learning target detection framework with balanced speed and performance in recognition, which is widely used in industrial defect inspections. YOLOv5s relies on the residual structure in the C3 module for feature extraction, but due to its simple structure and the small, fixed convolution kernel, it is difficult to accurately and completely extract target features when applied to the detection of defects with inconspicuous features and irregular shapes, which results in a decrease in recognition accuracy. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an improved YOLO architecture based on receptive field enhancement and redundant feature reuse. Firstly, the method designs a redundant feature reuse module (RFRM) to replace the residual structure in the C3 module for feature extraction. This module can deepen the network with a smaller cost and enhance the network’s ability to extract features. Furthermore, the feature reuse process allows the network to deepen while retaining detailed information, enabling the network to classify and localize more accurately. Secondly, a simplified convolutional block attention module (SCBAM) is designed and embedded into the neck of the detection network. This module directs the detection network to focus more on inconspicuous defect features and reduce interference from background noise in the feature map, thereby improving the accuracy of defect classification and localization. Finally, a receptive field enhancement module (RFEM) is designed and inserted between the neck and head of the detection network. This module adds only a small computational cost to expand the receptive field of the network, enabling it to further extract and comb irregular features from the neck in a comprehensive manner, making the features reaching the detection head more complete. This paper introduces the HGB-HFN model, addressing feature redundancy by optimizing extracted features using metaheuristic algorithm techniques, achieving a higher accuracy optimal feature dataset at lower computational costs. To counteract the neglect of modal-independent information, a hybrid fusion approach is adopted. It prioritizes visual features to extract precise semantic and emotional information from textual content, training multiple base classifiers to learn independent and diverse discriminative information. Comparative experiments on streaming datasets MOSI and MOSEI demonstrate the computational approach’s superiority in both accuracy and efficiency over existing methods.
