This paper introduces AbotalebNet, a novel deep learning architecture optimized for time series forecasting, with a particular focus on the complexities of COVID-19 data. AbotalebNet’s architecture is mathematically represented as:\begin{equation*}\hat Y = {\text{Attention}}(\operatorname{LSTM} ({\text{CNN}}(X)))\tag{1}\end{equation*}Here, X represents the input time series data, and Ŷ is the forecasted output. AbotalebNet integrates the feature extraction capabilities of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with the sequential data processing power of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, further enhanced by a Multi-Head Attention *** address overfitting, a key challenge in deep learning, the model incorporates regularization strategies, dropout mechanisms, and batch normalization:\begin{equation*}\mathop {\min }\limits_\Theta ( Loss (X,\hat Y;\Theta ) + \lambda R(\Theta ))\tag{2}\end{equation*}In this equation, Θ denotes the model parameters, R(Θ) represents regularization terms, and λ is the regularization coefficient. These additions aid in preventing the model from overfitting to the training data, ensuring robust performance on unseen *** evaluation on COVID-19 time series data demonstrates AbotalebNet’s enhanced predictive accuracy over traditional models, solidifying its potential for advanced non-linear time series analysis.

Joint safety and security analysis of cyber-physical systems is a necessary step to correctly capture inter-dependencies between these properties. Attack-Fault Trees represent a combination of dynamic Fault Trees and Attack Trees and can be used to model and model-check a holistic view on both safety and security. Manually creating a complete AFT for the whole system is, however, a daunting task. It needs to span multiple abstraction layers, e.g., abstract application architecture and data flow as well as system and library dependencies that are affected by various vulnerabilities. We present an AFT generation tool-chain that facilitates this task using partial Fault and Attack Trees that are either manually created or mined from vulnerability databases. We semi-automatically create two system models that provide the necessary information to automatically combine these partial Fault and Attack Trees into complete AFTs using graph transformation rules. © 2023, CC BY-NC-ND.

Chronic back pain can present a serious health concern, with symptoms that can significantly affect an individual's well-being, mobility, and overall quality of life over an extended period. While chronic back pain may manifest suddenly in some cases, it often develops gradually and persists for weeks, and in untreated cases, it can linger for years. Hence, the utilization of assistive devices such as wearable posture-monitoring vests can offer valuable assistance and guidance to users. This research paper is dedicated to the development of a system for detecting, diagnosing, and correcting poor posture, specifically leaning posture. The vest is designed to provide users with visual, auditory, and tactile cues to help them address this issue, thereby reducing the risk associated with leaning. Additionally, an integrated electrical box has been designed to consolidate all components directly onto the main board in a secure enclosure. This box also displays the daily count of instances where the user has leaned. This system is characterized by its electrical safety, portability, compactness, comfort, and affordability. A comprehensive analysis of the system's performance has been conducted with a meticulous evaluation of accuracy. Each component of the system has undergone successful testing, and the system as a whole is currently in the testing phase. The results of these tests have indicated a lack of faulty errors and have demonstrated outstanding accuracy and detection rates. Over 100 individuals of varying ages, genders, and BMI categories were involved in testing, with each person wearing the device for an average of six hours. The accuracy rate achieved was 98.85%, with an average of 54.35 instances of poor posture detected per participant. © 2023 IEEE.

Optical speed sensors based on the spatial frequency filter method are a proven technology that offer high measurement accuracy over a wide speed range. Newly developed variants also enable measurements at very low speeds and increase the robustness of the method [1]. This makes the sensor very suitable for use in the area of functional safety. A measurement chain up to safety integrity level 3 (SIL3) should be feasible via a combination with a safety system on a chip (SoC) for evaluating the measurement data and an extension of the sensor module to include safety-related elements [2], [3]. By integrating the sensor at IC level, a compact overall solution is to be made possible. After the first successful tests with the safety SoC, further examinations of the measuring method with regard to functional safety are now necessary.

In this study, we present an improved approach to optimizing the parameters of sensor sensing elements using quartz resonators with an interelectrode gap. We combine graphical and analytical methods to solve the multi-criteria optimization problem. The work focuses on the modes of operation of a quartz resonator equipped with an interelectrode gap in sensors with a frequency output, determining a set of optimal parameters and representing them as surfaces in a particular optimization parameter space. The presented results reveal specific areas on the surface of the objective function where optimization of design and technological parameters is possible, taking into account technological influences and features of the sensor design, including the initial value of the interelectrode gap. By using an improved mathematical model for the oscillations of a quartz resonator with an electrode gap, this study achieves results with an accuracy of ($8 . . .11$)% higher than previous studies, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method in improving the design and functionality of piezoelectric sensors for advanced applications.

This article discusses the use of fuzzy logic and a neural network to predict the demand for pharmaceutical products in a distributed network, in conditions of insufficient information, a large assortment and the influence of risk factors. A comprehensive approach to solving forecasting problems is proposed using: the theory of fuzzy logic - when forecasting emerging and unmet needs and a neural network - if there is a lot of retrospective information about the actual sale of drugs and drugs. Using this approach to solve the problems of forecasting demand allows you to get statistics and experience. Industrial Internet of NanoThings (IIoNT) traffic model proposed. The model is based on the developed algorithm for Dynamic Data Composition Control. The application of the algorithm made it possible to reduce the total amount of transmitted information from the end nodes of IIoNT. The model made it possible to determine the parameters of aggregation traffic of IIoNT cluster gateway. With the calculated parameters, the value of the aggregated package is maximized. The main limitation is not exceeding the value of the boundary delay for the transmission of sensor readings. The model also allows you to dynamically determine the required amount of the gateway buffer memory. © 2023 IEEE.

Feature models are the de facto standard for modelling variabilities and commonalities. Concrete models in different domains exist;however, many are in private or sparse repositories or belong to discontinued projects. The dispersion of knowledge of feature models hinders the study and reuse of these artefacts in different studies. The Universal Variability Language (UVL) is a community effort textual feature model language that promotes a common way of serialising feature models independently of concrete tools. Open science principles promote transparency, accessibility, and collaboration in scientific research. Although some attempts exist to promote feature model sharing, the existing solutions lack open science principles by design. In addition, existing and public feature models are described using formats not always supported by current tools. This paper presents UVLHUB, a repository of feature models in UVL format. UVLHUB provides a front end that facilitates the search, upload, storage, and management of feature model datasets, improving the capabilities of discontinued proposals. Furthermore, the tool communicates with Zenodo providing a permanent save of datasets and following open science principles. UVLHUB includes existing datasets and is readily available to include new data and functionalities in the future. Fog computing extends the capabilities of cloud computing by enabling computing at the edge of the network, involving devices such as mobile collaborative devices or fixed nodes with integrated storage, computing, and communication capabilities. Fog computing offers benefits such as improved efficiency, increased security, savings in network bandwidth, and increased flexibility. In order to provide a complete understanding of Fog computing, this paper presents its salient features and highlights the differences from cloud computing research. Cloud computing is an emerging technology that offers computing resources on a pay-per-use basis. It provides three service models, and the cloud offers cost-effective centrally managed resources for reliable computing for specific tasks. This document presents a comparison between Fog computing and cloud computing, highlighting the differences in design, deployment, services, and tools available to organizations and users. By explicating the distinctiveness of fog computing and its contrast to cloud computing, we contribute to the field by shedding light on the unparalleled potential of fog computing in conserving resources while delivering robust computational solutions at the network periphery. Our study offers a new perspective that challenges the prevailing practices and extends the discourse on optimizing distributed computing architectures.
