Dental caries is a distinct disease strategy caused by the metabolic action of dental biofilm, which continually demineralizes lacquer and dentine. Its commonly known as tooth rot, is one of the most prevalent and long- lasting dental illnesses, affecting people at all stages of their lives. There are a few different sorts of dental x-rays, each of which records a different perspective on dental living systems for caries detection and has the highest symptomatic accuracy, whereas panoramic radiography has the lowest Despite this, Bitewing has a few downsides, such as patient unease. Because of the lack of knowledge among administrators, Bitewing imaging frequently results in increased patient radiation exposure as a result of the need for image retakes. On the other hand, panoramic x-ray scans, also known as Orthopantomogram (OPG), are commonly utilized to capture the whole mouth with a small amount of radiation. OPG has a low radiation content, is simple to use, takes less time, and provides exceptional patient comfort. In this way, when compared to intraoral frameworks, pediatric, impaired, and senior people would profit greatly from panoramic imaging frameworks. This research work explores panoramic photos to detect accurate dental disease using deep learning. As a result, most patients can benefit from panoramic imaging, which covers a large portion of the maxillofacial region, including all of the teeth. © 2023 IEEE.

Today, you can see how children are increasingly spending their free time playing desktop or mobile video games. The question then becomes whether a simple hobby can be turned into a rewarding learning pastime? In the introduction of the article, the current situation and the problem that video games can create and the direction in which it can be solved using video games will be considered. The literature review considers some interesting aspects and conclusions of earlier similar studies. The methodology will present plans for quantitative and qualitative surveys of the population and a proposal for the development of a gaming product for educational purposes. The results will show what the situation is and what people's opinion about the use of video games in education. All the data obtained will help in the development of an educational project. Summing up, we will talk about the meaning and significance of the project and similar ideas in the modern world.

This paper introduces a novel approach for managing 5G millimeter-wave channel switching, addressing the critical need for high-speed, low-latency communication. While promising significantly higher transmission rates, millimeter-wave frequencies are highly susceptible to environmental conditions such as rain, snow, dust, and sand, leading to signal attenuation and connectivity disruptions. To counter these challenges, we propose a Fuzzy Controller for switching mm-wave channels, which utilizes advanced algorithms to ensure smooth and efficient channel transitions. Our model quantifies the impact of environmental conditions on 5G signal propagation, precisely simulating how rainfall influences signal strength. Unlike devices on the market that typically switch between two frequencies based on signal strength alone, our approach intelligently incorporates environmental data such as visibility and rain intensity to choose optimally from five different frequencies. Through extensive simulations and performance evaluations, we show that our approach ensures reliable connectivity while maintaining high data speeds and minimizing latency. This research sets a foundational platform for future investigations into robust millimeter-wave channel switching mechanisms for 5G networks, enhancing user experience and overall network efficiency.

This paper presents an approach to joint wireless and computing resource management in slice-enabled metaverse networks, addressing the challenges of inter-slice and intra-slice resource allocation in the presence of in-network computing. We formulate the problem as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem and derive an optimal solution using standard optimization techniques. Through extensive simulations, we demonstrate that our proposed method significantly improves system performance by effectively balancing the allocation of radio and computing resources across multiple slices. Our approach outperforms existing benchmarks, particularly in scenarios with high user demand and varying computational tasks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In today's interconnected world, ensuring secure communication in resource-constrained contexts is still challenging. This study offers CAPLC, a novel technique for lightweight encryption that uses Cellular Automata (CA) and Henon maps. Its goal is to improve security in such situations. The method uses 1D Cellular Automata for initial data transformation and incorporates the Henon map to improve encryption strength. We used conventional metrics to evaluate CAPLC's effectiveness on image encryption, and the findings were promising: NPCR of 99.6154%, UACI of 33.88235, and PSNR of 9.1924. These numbers show the method's capacity to dramatically change image while maintaining quality and anonymity. The implications of CAPLC go beyond image encryption, providing a scalable solution for secure communication in circumstances with limited computational resources. Future studies ought to explore CAPLC's real-time application and performance across various kinds of datasets, with a focus on the potential of merging CA with Henon maps to create efficient encryption methods for improving secure communications technology.

With the popularization of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) in surveillance, delivery services, environmental monitoring, and increasingly other operational aspects, besides the need to take off and land, efficient traffic management becomes integral for assuring and securing further development and exploitation. Most of the existing traffic management systems for UAVs depend on traditional rule-based algorithms or simpler machine learning techniques, such as DQN or PPO. However, these systems also have enormous challenges: dynamic environments, high-density traffic, and robust decision-making over unpredictable weather and network conditions. In addition, the above traditional models usually experience difficulties in balancing exploration and exploitation, leading to suboptimal routing and enlarged collision risks in complicated urban airspaces. These challenges have driven us to develop a new proposal: a UA V traffic management framework based on Double Deep Q-Network (DDQN) combined with Instruction-Based Learning. In this approach, advanced learning for DDQN optimizes processes at decision-making points for UAVs. The model proposed herein, along with comprehensive simulations and quantitative analyses, demonstrated higher performance in terms of leadership and cumulative rewards while keeping lower training loss compared to the classical algorithms such as DQN, A3C, and PPO. At the same time, the DDQN model presented a better success rate (95%), as also reflected in the balanced precision-recall curve showing an area under the curve of 0.90, over others in the on-point prediction of UAVstate and safety margin of collision. Our experimental results demonstrate that the proposed DDQN-based framework significantly enhances UA V traffic management by optimizing energy consumption in complex airspaces and reducing the risk of collision.

Temporal Motifs for Financial Networks: A Study on Mercari, JPMC, and Venmo Platforms

Understanding the dynamics of financial transactions among people is critically important for various applications such as fraud detection. One important aspect of financial transaction networks is temporality. The order and repetition of transactions can offer new insights when considered within the graph structure. Temporal motifs, defined as a set of nodes that interact with each other in a short time period, are a promising tool in this context. In this work, we study three unique temporal financial networks: transactions in Mercari, an online marketplace, payments in a synthetic network generated by J.P. Morgan Chase, and payments and friendships among Venmo users. We consider the fraud detection problem on the Mercari and J.P. Morgan Chase networks, for which the ground truth is available. We show that temporal motifs offer superior performance than a previous method that considers simple graph features. For the Venmo network, we investigate the interplay between financial and social relations on three tasks: friendship prediction, vendor identification, and analysis of temporal cycles. For friendship prediction, temporal motifs yield better results than general heuristics, such as Jaccard and Adamic-Adar measures. We are also able to identify vendors with high accuracy and observe interesting patterns in rare motifs, like temporal cycles. We believe that the analysis, datasets, and lessons from this work will be beneficial for future research on financial transaction networks. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
