The use of information technology by companies and individuals in cloud computing revolutionizes. Cloud computing offers virtualized tools over the Internet for dynamic services. This ensures that end-users with resources-virtualization maintained and controlled can create, deploy and manage applications "on the cloud." The preparation of tasks in cloud computing systems is one of the most challenging issues in fulfilling user-defined service quality while minimizing the cost of executing tasks. Several cost optimization approaches have been proposed to improve the economic aspect of task scheduling in cloud computing. A full analysis of approaches to promoting cost optimization in connection with task planning in cloud computing has not yet been published in the literature. This paper is intended to examine the problems of cost optimization in task scheduling through a detailed analysis of current task scheduling methods in cloud computing and to identify aspects and parameters of cost optimization. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The fast development of 5G wireless technologies (IoT) has been a major contributor to the rapid growth and expansion of the Internet of Things! This in-depth study investigates the mutually advantageous relationship between 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT), focusing on how the combination assists in the development of massive device networks, enhances connectivity, and enables the development of real-time applications. There are now new opportunities for innovative applications in smart cities, industrial automation, healthcare, and other industries owing to 5G, which enables Internet of Things devices to communicate with one another at a speed and efficiency that has never been seen before. In spite of the benefits, however, there are challenges to be faced, such as the construction of infrastructure to support the expansion of the Internet of Things and the assurance of robust security. This article provides an analysis of these components and a blueprint for leveraging the advantages of Internet of Things (IoT) with 5G while minimizing any potential downsides. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper focuses on enhancing anomaly detection in time series data using deep learning techniques. Particularly, it investigates the integration of knowledge distillation with LSTM-based models for improved precision, efficiency, and interpretability. The study outlines objectives such as dataset preprocessing, developing a novel LSTM-knowledge distillation framework, incorporating Grafana, InfluxDB, Flask API with Docker, performance assessment, and practical implications. Results highlight the efficacy of knowledge distillation in enhancing student model performance. Represented by evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence algorithms, nature-inspired metaheuristics have been successfully applied to recommender systems and amply demonstrated effectiveness, in particular, for multiobjective recommendation. Owing to the population-based search paradigm, these algorithms can produce a number of recommendation lists, making diverse tradeoffs between multiple metrics and meeting the requirements of accuracy, novelty, diversity, and other user preferences. However, these algorithms are criticized for the low efficiency of the optimization process, especially when the number of users is large. To address this issue, this article proposes an evolutionary multitasking-based recommendation method, where each task corresponds to a user and all the tasks are optimized simultaneously, thus highly improving the efficiency of recommendation. To enhance the convergence speed, all the users are divided into multiple populations according to the similarity between their preferences, where each population evolves with internal knowledge transfer between users, and all the populations evolve with external knowledge transfer between populations. Experimental results on various datasets verify that the proposed method can better balance between multiple metrics than classical and deep neural network-based recommendation methods and exhibits significantly higher efficiency than evolutionary multiobjective optimization-based recommendation methods. © 2024 IEEE. We resolve difficulties in training and sampling from a discrete generative model by learning a smoothed energy function, sampling from the smoothed data manifold with Langevin Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC), and projecting back to the true data manifold with one-step denoising. Our Discrete Walk-Jump Sampling formalism combines the contrastive divergence training of an energy-based model and improved sample quality of a score-based model, while simplifying training and sampling by requiring only a single noise level. We evaluate the robustness of our approach on generative modeling of antibody proteins and introduce the distributional conformity score to benchmark protein generative models. By optimizing and sampling from our models for the proposed distributional conformity score, 97-100% of generated samples are successfully expressed and purified and 70% of functional designs show equal or improved binding affinity compared to known functional antibodies on the first attempt in a single round of laboratory experiments. We also report the first demonstration of long-run fast-mixing MCMC chains where diverse antibody protein classes are visited in a single MCMC chain. © 2024 12th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2024. The use of machine learning and artificial intelligence enables us to create intelligent systems. Speech emotion recognition system analyzes the speaker’s speech to determine his/her emotional state. Speech emotion recognition is a challenging pattern recognition task. This paper proposes a new robust and lightweight speech emotion recognition system based on a dual-stream CNN-Transformer fusion network that effectively captures spatial and temporal information disentangled in long-distance raw features by exploring both MFCCs and Mel-spectrograms in a parallel mechanism. Experiments are performed on the widely used emotional benchmark datasets. Our approach has shown to be quite efficient. It outperforms the best-known state-of-the-art models with an accuracy of 97.64%, 99.42%, and 97.53% on RAVDESS, TESS, and EMO-DB datasets respectively. The results demonstrate the significant advantages of the proposed model and the ability of this architecture to learn to recognize emotional data features accurately. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

We often open our eyes in the morning with the appalling news of data breaches of different popular companies. This is a significant threat not only to giant companies but also to the general people's privacy. Various methods are maneuvered for data breaches, and identifying these methods in a short can help understand the loss and take proper steps against these incidents. Researchers nowadays focus on the data breaches issue to reduce its threats to the tech industry. In this research, we have used advanced deep learning methods(e.g., BERT, XLNet, and Electra) to predict data breach methods using the data breach story. The proposed classifier has provided an accuracy of 92.86%. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent innovations at the convergence of genomics and the Internet of Things (IoT) have opened the way for an innovative strategy for administering individualized health care. This research study combines the potential of wearable health monitoring technologies with genetic insights to analyze the personal healthcare. A comprehensive knowledge of health dynamics may be achieved by seamlessly integrating real-time health data collected from IoT-enabled wearables with individual genetic profiles. Using algorithms for machine learning, connections between genetic differences and instantaneous health responses may be uncovered, paving the way for the development of individualized therapies and lifestyle recommendations. The suggested framework allows people to improve their health and gives medical professionals access to data-driven insights that can be used for the early diagnosis of diseases and the development of individualized treatment plans. The work that has been done sheds light on the revolutionary potential of merging genetics with the Internet of Things to establish a new paradigm of preventative and individualized medical treatment. © 2024 IEEE.

Neural Architecture Search (NAS) aims to automate the creation of Artificial Neural Networks, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), lessening the reliance on labour-intensive manual design by human experts. A CNN architecture can be decomposed into a micro- and macro-architecture, each influenced by distinct design and optimisation strategies to con-tribute to the overall construction and performance of the CNN. Cellular Encoding (CE), an evolutionary computation technique, has been successfully used to represent diverse network topologies of varying complexities. Recently, CE has been applied to evolve CNN architectures, showing promising results. However, current CE-based NAS approaches focus on evolving either the micro-or macro-architectures without considering the evolution of both in the same algorithm. Evolving the micro- and macro-architecture together can increase the performance of evolved CNN architectures. This research introduces a novel two-stage hybrid approach, combining Genetic Algorithms (GA) and CE to evolve both the micro- and macro-architectures to synthesise CNNs for classification tasks. Candidate macro-architectures are evolved using a CE approach, while a GA approach is used to explore the micro-architecture search space. The proposed algorithm is evaluated across four commonly used datasets and compared against six NAS peer competitors and five state-of-the-art manually designed CNN architectures. The results validate the approach's high competitiveness, outperforming several peer competitors on image and text classification tasks. © 2023 IEEE.
