POCs based super-resolution image reconstruction using an adaptive regularization parameter

Crucial information barely v.s.ble to the human eye is often embedded in a series of low-resolution images taken of the same scene. super-resolution enables the extraction of this information by reconstructing a single image, at a high resolution than is present in any of the individual images. This is particularly useful in forensic imaging, where the extraction of minute details in an image can help to solve a crime. super-resolution image restoration has been one of the most important research areas in recent years which goals to obtain a high resolution (HR) image from several low resolutions (LR) blurred, noisy, under sampled and displaced images. Relation of the HR image and LR images can be modeled by a linear system using a transformation matrix and additive noise. However, a unique solution may not be available because of the singularity of transformation matrix. To overcome this problem, POCs method has been used. However, their performance is not good because the effect of noise energy has been ignored. In this paper, we propose an adaptive regularization approach based on the fact that the regularization parameter should be a linear function of noise variance. The performance of the proposed approach has been tested on several images and the obtained results demonstrate the superiority of our approach compared with existing methods.

In recent years elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) is emerging as an alternative to traditional public key cryptosystems(DsA, RsA, AEs, etc).ECC offers equivalent security with smaller key sizes resulting in faster computations, lower power consumption, as well as memory and bandwidth saving. This work presents an Extension of Elliptic curve Diffie Hellman technique to generate multiple shared keys at a time with reduced Key exchange operations (KEO), for increasing security and widening of applicability. A comparative study between proposed protocol and other crypto systems was made and satisfactory results have been obtained. Also an upper bound for the number of shared keys in terms of the number of exchanged keys and for a given number of shared keys, the minimum required number of keys to be exchanged.

We present a new randomized diffusion-based algorittim for balancing indiv.s.ble tasks (tokens) on a network. Our aim is to minimize the discrepancy between the maximum and minimum load. The algorithm works as follows. Every vertex distributes its tokens as evenly as possible among its neighbors and itself. If this is not possible without splitting some tokens, the vertex redistributes its excess tokens among all its neighbors randomly (without replacement). In this paper we prove several upper bounds on the load discrepancy for general networks. These bounds depend on some expansion properties of the network, that is, the second largest eigenvalue, and a novel measure which we refer to as refined local divergence. We then apply these general bounds to obtain results for some specific networks. For constant-degree expanders and torus graphs, these yield exponential improvements on the discrepancy bounds compared to the algorithm of Rabani, sinclair, and Wanka [14]. For hypercubes we obtain a polynomial improvement. In contrast to previous papers, our algorithm is vertex-based and not edge-based. This means excess tokens are assigned to vertices instead to edges, and the vertex reallocates all of its excess tokens by itself. This approach avoids nodes having "negative loads" (like in [8, 10]), but causes additional dependencies for the analysis.

In this paper, we presents a new approach to document image retrieval based on signature. The database contains document images with English text combined with headlines, ruling lines, logo, trade mark and signature. In searching a repository of business documents, task of interest is that of using a query signature image to retrieve from a database. The signature retrieval task involves a two step process of extracting all the signatures from the document and performing a match on these signatures. We have proposed to use the rotated complex wavelet filters (RCWF) and dual tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) together to derive signature feature extraction. In retrieval phase, Canberra distance measure is used. Further, relevance with query point movement (QPM) is used to improve the retrieval performance. Experimental results shows that document image retrieval rate of proposed method is satisfactory.

We present morphological generator for Kannada Language. Our work is novel in that it explicitly addresses the need for processing the morphology of the language. This system performs generation of inflected forms given root+pattern+features representation. It has separate orthographic representations, it allows for combining morphemes at different levels. Morphological analyzers and generators are essential parts of many natural-language processing systems such as machine translation (MAT). They may be efficiently implemented using finite state transducers. We have obtained more than 90% result for nouns and around 85% for verbs.

sticker systems, a computability model introduced by L. Kari et al. (1998) are language generating devices based on the sticker operation. In this paper, a theoretical study about a new class of P system based on the sticker operation has been presented. such a system has double stranded sequences with sticky ends as objects and sticker operations as evolution rules in its regions. We compare the language generated by this system with regular languages.

It was with great excitement that we planned the combined meetings of Northeast Aquaculture Conference and Exposition (NACE) and the International Conference on shellfish Restoration (ICsR) with the 33rd Milford Aquaculture seminar (MAs). bringing these different but complementary audiences together resulted in a meeting that combined many different aspects of fisheries restoration and aquaculture under one *** hundred attendees including government representatives, research scientists, industry, and academia at both the university and vocational high school levels attended this event. The meeting commenced on Wednesday December 12th 2012, with over eighty people attending seven field trips to area aquaculture farms and research facilities. The formal program began on Thursday, December 13th with a plenary session including invited speakers Eric schwabb, Acting Assistant secretary for Conservation and Management at NOAA; sebastian belle, Executive Director of the Maine Aquaculture Association and boze Hancock from the Nature Conservancy, who discussed the role of aquaculture in fisheries restoration. John bullard, the Northeast Regional Administrator of NOAA Fisheries service, addressed the group during the luncheon the following day. The technical papers and workshops presented were divided into 35 sessions over three days of the meeting and included topics such as the history of aquaculture, aquaculture hatchery innovations, siting and planning issues, risk management, aquaculture business management, ocean acidification, climate change, as well as aquaculture disease issues and potential remedies. Having persons present who have experienced problems and successes, along with those in manufacturing and government responsible for addressing concerns and sharing best practices, was invaluable. Discussions among this cross-section of persons who represent different aspects of aquaculture were as important as the well-presented and interesting formal papers

Now-a-days the Most of the computer systems work in a network and the routing of the packets efficiently and pace fully is required to maintain the performance of the system. The performance of the system may vary from user to user as simple routing can work for simple transferring but as the new era techniques of come into existence new parameters came into existence like the bandwidth requirement for voIP is one of them. Not only the bandwidth is the single requirement but on time packet delivery less loss of packets may also be the criteria. These all add some constrains into deciding the route of a packet from source to the destination. As we have the multiple criteria for evolution the problem of deciding the path becomes an NP hard problem. The Genetic Algorithms have been efficiently used for solving such type of Problem in Past. so an effort is made to solve the QOs Routing Problem using Evolutionary algorithm using the different sorting techniques to improve the performance time of the most efficient algorithm that is NsGA II. The Proposed Algorithm is then compared with the already available used for QOs routing like NsGA and NsGA II.

Automatic speech segmentation is one of the foremost important field for controlling the simulation of speech without intervening of human being. segmenting the continuous speech signal according to the phonetic transcription is a fundamental task in any voice activated system. Manual segmentation is tedious, time consuming and error prone. Automatic segmentation is not faultless, but it is inherently consistent and results are reproducible. In spite of the endless efforts made in this field, there is no speech segmentation system in the market for Punjabi on large vocabulary, though speaker independent systems are available for the languages like English, Tamil. It is a well known fact syllable based systems perform better than phoneme or word based systems. In our work, we are presenting an effective method for segmentation of Punjabi speech into syllable like basic units for AsR systems. © 2010 IEEE.

The Next generation wireless network (NGWN) will be heterogeneous in nature where different radio access technologies (RATs) operate together .The mobile terminals operating in this heterogeneous environment will have different quality of service requirements to be handled by the system. The radio resource management is one of the key challenge in *** admission control is one of the radio resource management technique plays instrumental role in ensure the desired Quality of service (Qos) to the users working on different applications which have diversified nature of Qos requirements from the wireless networks . The call blocking probability is one such Qos parameter for the wireless network. For better Qos it is desirable to reduce the call blocking probability. In this customary scenario it is highly desirable to obtain analytic Performance model. In this paper we propose a higher order Markov chain based performance model for call admission control in a heterogeneous wireless network environment. In the proposed algorithm we have considered three classes of traffic having different Qos requirements and we have considered the heterogeneous network environment which includes that can effectively handle applications like voice calls, Web browsing and file transfer applications which are with varied Qos parameters. The paper presents the call blocking probabilities for all the three types of traffic both for fixed and varied traffic scenario. © 2010 IEEE.
