Big data is being used by public sector entities to improve services to cities. Many government agencies are in unfamiliar territory as they strive to incorporate and integrate one novel kind of technology (big data) with another concept (smart city). Smart cities are a new type of city planning that uses digitalization to collect, analyze, and integrate key data from the city's operational core system to respond quickly and effectively to a wide variety of needs, including those of residents, the protection of public safety and the health of the environment, city services, and commercial and industrial activities. The fast pace of change in the digital economy necessitates improvements to the economic concepts that underpin it. Many distinct approaches exist to doing business and creating value in today's online marketplace. To explain the expansion of the digital economy, it has been suggested that big data analysis-based public management (BDA-PM) be implemented at the municipal level to define the status and significance of strategic resource management in smart cities. It developed a plan for allocating smart city resources based on information from the digital economy. The results of this study may be used as a foundation for other studies on resource allocation and smart city management in the information economy © 2023 IEEE.

Monolingual corpora and similar language resources are vastly available for a few languages. These resources stimulate the exploration and building of potential NLP tools for new languages or dialects. This paper deals with the part-of-speech (POS) tagging for the Indo-Aryan languages, i.e., Magahi, Maithili, and Bhojpuri, a dialect of Hindi. The POS model is trained by BiLSTM-CRF and explores the effectiveness of Word2Vec, GloVe as word and FastText, and BPE as subword-level embeddings, trained on the raw corpus of these languages. All these languages are dialects of Hindi;hence, multilingual embedding at the BPE level has been evaluated. Better results are obtained than with monolingual BPE embedding. However, the best results have been obtained from word embeddings, i.e., GloVe on Maithili and Magahi, with 81.23% and 82.24%, respectively. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Suicide rates are notably higher in countries with higher levels of psychological stress. Depression and suicide may be avoided if signs of psychological stress are detected early. The widespread popularity and real-time social media data sharing in the last several decades have aided early diagnosis in big populations. The Deep Learning-based Automated Psychological Behavior Analysis Model (DLAPBAM) has been suggested to derive psychological stress from Twitter and Facebook usage. Focusing on deep learning and a transfer learning strategy that enhances an existing clinical text annotation collection, this study investigates methods for identifying suicide-related psychological stress. In this public opinion survey, these sources provide a wealth of information from which to draw. This study details a method for analyzing and synthesizing the sentiment of reviews that have been detected using deep learning methods, which may be quite useful when trying to anticipate the psychological behavior of a person. The experimental findings demonstrate an accuracy and prediction ratio improvement using the proposed DLAPBAM model over prior approaches. The experimental outcome has been accomplished, and the suggested methods prediction ratio (96.3 %), classification accuracy ratio (92.7%), efficiency ratio (96.8%), social media usage (97.9%), and error ratio (40.21 %). © 2023 IEEE.

Internet of Things (IoT) is an environment in which digital equipment is augmented with sensors to share and receive data through network. When devices share data it can be effected by anomalies or any attack due to corrupted data or by any other uncertainty and ambiguity in data. The data can also be corrupted through a damage in device. These attacks or anomalies damage the working of the IoT networks. The anomalous data can be detected through detection techniques however most anomaly detection techniques depend upon labelled data but for IoT datasets, usually class labels are not available. Labeling is performed by a manual process which is time consuming and also costly. As data in IoT increases day by day so there is a need to label and classify data for future unseen data. In this paper a hybrid algorithm is proposed in which both clustering and classification techniques are applied for automatic labeling and classifying on IoT dataset. The model contains two function. In the first phase k-means clustering is employed for labelling dataset instances as normal or anomalous. In the second phase labelled dataset is used to train Random Forest model to detect anomalies in IoT networks. The results show that the proposed model is detecting anomalies in IoT networks with an accuracy 98%, precision 98 %, recall 98%, and F-meausre 0.98%. © 2023 IEEE.

Photodynamic treatment (PDT) has been used to treat a scope of dangerous sicknesses as a growing clinically perceived approach. Conventional PDT strategies are by and large centered around negligible sores, delivering in a restorative reaction that is insufficient for well established cancers. Since most clinically endorsed photosensitizers (PSs) have a frequency of enlightenment light UV/VIS range has a low ability to infiltrate tissue. In the course of the last ten years, there has been an emotional speed increase in the advancement of nanotechnology. Where traditional motorways contain hard shoulders to provide refuge for broken-down vehicles, smart motorways instead use live outer lane to ease congestion. The live lanes can be closed due to accidents or breakdowns which is communicated to other road users through overhead gantry signs. This can only occur if the traffic management control center is made aware of the stationary vehicle(s), through either notification via phone call or Motorway Incident Detection and Automatic Signaling (MIDAS) induction loop technology. Alternatively, radar-based stopped vehicle detection is used to identify non-moving objects on the highway. However, this technology is unable to recognize objects or distinguish between congestion and break down etc., which leads to generate false alarms. For the first time, we propose a fully autonomous computer vision and deep learning-based solution to detect stationary vehicles on highways and local roads. We employ deep transfer learning to build a custom-trained vehicle detection model using a newly prepared dataset comprising over 105,000 annotated vehicle instances. DeepSort algorithm is employed for real-time vehicle tracking through associating instances between time series frames, followed by a rule-based algorithm to identify the current state of detected vehicles. Experimental outcomes show our approach as outperforming the state-of-the-art methods in terms of efficient and reliable detection of stationary vehicles (with 98.3% accuracy) as well as distinguish them from congestions when evaluated over video streams captured in realistic dynamic and diverse conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the key features of blockchain is high reliability, due to its high redundancy nature. While creating many replications across nodes serves well for storing relatively small data entries, this cannot be used with big files, as it might be impossible to replicate many huge files across many nodes. Here we present a DApps-based system that can lead to improving the total reliability of distributed files storage systems by managing the internal processes using DApps instead of a classical centralized load balancer. For the same reason, known reliability calculation methods for distributed file storage systems are not suitable for assessing the reliability of DApps-based systems. They do not take into account the automatic recovery time of files. In this article, we will deduce the reliability method for DApps-based system, then compare the resulting reliability with other existing systems, and discuss the benefits gained in total. © 2023 IEEE.

Software-defined networking (SDN) revolutionizes network management by centralizing control, but this centralization also introduces notable vulnerabilities, especially Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) poisoning attacks. These attacks exploit the ARP protocol, redirecting network traffic to malicious destinations. This research provides a deep dive into the nuances of these threats within the SDN context, outlining their mechanisms and potential countermeasures. A significant highlight of this paper is exploring Machine Learning (ML) as a pivotal mitigation approach. By analyzing and distinguishing between benign and malicious traffic patterns in real-time, ML models present a robust solution to enhance SDN security. This paper presents the implementation of the proportional resonant plus multi-resonant (PR-MR) and practical proportional resonant plus multi-resonant (PMR-MR) harmonic controllers in the current control loop to mitigate the high-order harmonic currents. The harmonic controllers, of orders 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th with proper discretization methods are added to the fundamental controller in the stationary reference frame to mitigate the grid current harmonics caused by the distorted grid voltages. An extensive current control design procedure, proper methods of discretization of the resonant controllers, and system stability analysis are presented. The experimental grid currents show a lower total harmonic distortion close to 1.1% under the distorted grid conditions and comply with the IEEE 1547 standard. The PR-MR and PMR-MR controllers were implemented on the TMDSDOCK28379D 32-bit floating-point digital signal processor. The system is simulated in MAT-LAB/Simulink environment and experimentally implemented on a 7.5 kW three-phase LCL-filtered grid-connected VSC with the proposed control schemes. © 2022 IEEE.

In this article, a polarization-reconfigurable antenna based on magneto-electric (ME) dipoles is proposed. This antenna has three polarized states: linear polarization (LP), right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), and left-hand circular polarization (LHCP), which are mainly achieved through the cross strips with a bridge structure on top of the ME dipole. By changing the on/off states of diodes D1 and D2, the connections of the cross strips can be altered, thereby changing the surface current on the horizontal patches to achieve polarization reconfiguration. The proposed antenna is fed through a microstrip line and an H-shaped slot. The selected operating frequency band is 2.2-2.7 GHz. In all states, the bandwidth and 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth cover the operating band, and the gain is greater than 7 dBi within the operating band. This indicates that the antenna achieves polarization reconfiguration while maintaining good overall performance. Moreover, the reconfiguration method using diodes is easy to manufacture, making its application in wireless communication systems feasible. © 2024 IEEE.
