Tensor MIMO Perfect-Equalizer Design Using New Projection-Based Method and Approximation-Error Analysis

As real environments are quite complex, multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channels should be characterized by the multidimensional-multirelational models. Tensor linear algebra has been emerging as a powerful and promising tool for such MIMO channel modeling and estimation. However, to the best of our knowledge, there hardly exists any algebraic framework of MIMO channel equalization when the channel is modeled as an arbitrary-dimensional transfer tensor (a tensor whose entries are all rational z-functions). In this work, we first propose a new method based on the projection, namely, 'projection-based method,' to determine whether a given transfer tensor is a full-rank tensor or not and carry out the inversion of an invertible transfer tensor. Our idea is employing the projection subspace of the system transfer tensor to simplify the pertinent inversion process. Second, we design the finite-impulse-response (FIR) realization to approximate the inverse of an arbitrary transfer tensor such that all entries of the approximated inverse transfer tensor are finite-degree polynomials of z. Third, we also analyze the computational and memory complexities required by our proposed new projection-based method for checking the full-rank condition of a given transfer tensor and for undertaking the tensor inversion. Our developed new theories and analysis in this work can be applied to determine the FIR model-orders of an approximated inverse MIMO transfer tensor often encountered in signal processing, control, communications, etc. © 2007-2012 IEEE.

This research presents a novel electromagnetic-based sensor for inline measurement of unmilled rice paddy moisture content in the rice mill factory. The proposed sensor has been designed based on the modified planar dipole structure at the operating frequency of 440 MHz. The unmilled rice dielectric constant properties have been studied and applied for characterizing the moisture content. The unmilled rice moisture content sensor system then has been designed consisting of the proposed sensor, a microwave signal generator, a microwave signal detector, and a microcontroller. The moisture content sensor system has been implemented and used for measuring the unmilled rice paddy moisture content in a real rice mill factory in Udon Thani province, Thailand. When compared with the commercial rice moisture content tool based on a capacitance technique, the proposed rice moisture content sensor system gives almost same results, which only about 4% difference has been found. © 2024 IEEE.

Recommending safe routes has become a fundamental necessity due to the increasing number of accidents. This heavily relies on how to evaluate the road severity. Existing recommendation systems are based on user feedback, either positive or negative. However, this type of evaluation overlooks many aspects of road severity like accident history and volunteered geographic information on road conditions. To fill this gap, we elaborate a comprehensive and predictive road risk analysis, relying on objective and subjective data. To recommend safe roads, we propose an algorithm called Safe-Path based on accurate and reliable risk values. Organisations and users have been experiencing significant rises in cyberattacks and their severity, which means that they require a greater awareness and understanding of the anatomy of cyberattacks, to prevent and mitigate their effects. In analysing cyberattacks, there are a number of different approaches that may be used to assess their potential risks and effects. However, these are utilised in specific types of cyberattacks and their analysis, which means they cannot be applied in every situation or cyberattack. Moreover, several other factors may influence the decision to use these approaches, such as cost, complexity, skills and adaptability. As a result, continuous research to design and enhance these approaches is undertaken to produce a generic, cost-effective, easy and adaptable approach. This paper presents one such approach to assess the risk of cyberattacks utilising an attack tree and fuzzy logic. An attack tree is a systematic and illustrative method for describing an attack on a system and analysing its taxonomy and other aspects. Subsequently, the probability and risk of each leaf node in the attack tree are calculated using the proposed formulas. Finally, fuzzy logic enables decision making based on imprecise data and heuristics to obtain the overall risk of attack. This proposed approach comprises systematic steps to accomplish an assessment of any cyberattack and its associated risks in an uncomplicated and effective manner, enabling its prevention and mitigation to be determined. The paper illustrates an application of the proposed approach to assess the risk of an information theft attack on an organisation, which can then be utilised to assess the risk of other cyberattacks. © 2023 IEEE.

In cities, bus transportation is becoming a vital form of transportation. Most people in cities and villages use this form of public transportation. But since nothing in life is flawless, there is one shortcoming with buses as well: passengers must wait too long for the bus to arrive without having knowledge of where the bus is. This shortcoming encourages the use of private vehicles, which leads to an increase in fuel consumption and pollution. People move from one city to another for a variety of reasons, such as education, employment, travel, and so forth;therefore, they may not be familiar with all the locations in the new city. They encounter challenges when trying to visit some of the city's new locations. The Indian Government has initiated the Smart Cities Mission to improve people's living quality in cities and towns by using best practices, information, digital technology, etc. Such people migrating from one city to another face the major problem of finding city buses. As they are new to the city, they are unaware of the city's bus timings and bus numbers. To solve these difficulties, this proposed system of bus app was created. The passengers would benefit from knowing the buses' approximate arrival times so they may schedule their travel accordingly rather than waiting for them. This app provides information on the arrival and departure times of metropolitan city buses and tracks them. Since most people have smartphones, the bus driver's phone was used to track all of the buses along the route and was embedded with the Google Maps API. Users may log in and see all the buses that are close by with live tracking. This smart bus app may help in solving locality identification problems for passengers. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, deceptive content such as fake news and fake reviews, also known as opinion spams, have increasingly become a dangerous prospect for online users. Fake reviews have affected consumers and stores alike. Furthermore, the problem of fake news has gained attention in 2016, especially in the aftermath of the last U.S. presidential elections. Fake reviews and fake news are a closely related phenomenon as both consist of writing and spreading false information or beliefs. The opinion spam problem was formulated for the first time a few years ago, but it has quickly become a growing research area due to the abundance of user-generated content. It is now easy for anyone to either write fake reviews or write fake news on the web. The biggest challenge is the lack of an efficient way to tell the difference between a real review and a fake one;even humans are often unable to tell the difference. In this paper, we introduce a new n-gram model to detect automatically fake contents with a particular focus on fake reviews and fake news. © 2024 IEEE.

The application of Consumer-Centric Wireless Medical Sensor Devices in the medical field has brought great convenience to doctors and patients. However, the transmission process may compromise patient privacy, making the authenticity and integrity of medical data a significant challenge in the healthcare industry. To address this issue, a certificate-less Healthcare Signature scheme is proposed to protect patient privacy. However, most schemes are unable to resist fully selective cipher text attacks and suffer from key exposure problems. To mitigate these issues, a scheme is proposed to resist fully selective attacks in real-time processing of Consumer-Centric Wireless Medical Sensor Devices with high latency issues, while utilizing parallel key isolation methods to address key exposure problems. The scheme's enforceability is proven based on the random oracle model and the computational Diffie-Hellman assumption, and its resistance to fully selective key attacks is proven based on hash-based collision resistance. It is shown that this plan works well for wireless sensor networks in the medical field. Sensor nodes have limited resources, and sending vast volumes of patient medical data online significantly raises processing and communication costs. The low processing power of edge devices limits the effectiveness and performance of medical services. Efficiency analysis using the MIRACL library demonstrates that the proposed scheme outperforms other relevant schemes in terms of efficiency at each stage, while also having lower communication overhead. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Cloud computing is a rising technical paradigm shift that replaces computational tasks from local devices to non-localized servers. Due to this, cloud computing is generating various provocations for cyber-forensics professionals. Conventional digital forensics expert works in an area in which system elements are within an individual’s natural extension and control frames are adequately determined. Due to cloud, loss of control and loss of security are widely known. Traditional organization's network infrastructure is local so it is easy to receive, store, or investigate. computer games continue to present challenging experimental fields for developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) models. With Case-Based Reasoning and Clustering, this work proposes novel cases and clusters-based reuse criteria for implementing card-playing agents with diversified playing skills. Using the game of Truco, a common game in South America, we detail how game actions are reused from past cases selected as query answers for given game problems. In doing so, the majority rule, the probability-based lottery, the probability of victory, and the number of points won reuse policies are used to select a cluster of cases. Then these policies are also used to select game actions from the cases within the selected cluster. Investigating the combined exploration of reuse policies, experiments of different natures evaluate the performance of implemented Truco bots disputing matches against each other. Players in these tournaments are equipped with varied policies and use case bases constructed differently. © 2023 IEEE.
